or, dazai comes back to his hometown at twenty-two, four years after leaving Chuuya without a word, trying to fix what he broke between them. In which, he isn’t particularly good at.

And Chuuya did not come all this way, existentially, to find out his soulmate is this bastard. Unfortunately, he only grows more certain over the span of those first few days working together. When they clasp hands—palm to palm across an impossible barrier—the entirety of Chuuya resonates in a harmony that shakes him.
