Neither Dib nor Zim want their mission compromised by the other, and both end up with their spacecraft’s (and only way home) destroyed. This is mostly Zim’s fault.

Dib hasn't seen Zim in weeks. He hasn't had to foil any half-baked schemes, hasn't been dragged into any intergalactic conflicts - and he doesn't like it. He knows that Zim must be up to something and takes it upon himself to investigate.
He may yet live to regret that decision. And he may not be the only one to do so...

Thus far, Elite Red's life had been a work in progress: constant improvement, higher performance, higher rank, and higher stature. The best of the very best. With the start of Invasion Season and Devastis training a new crop of Invaders, Red's plan was clear: Become an Invader. Attain glory. Get snacks. Go solo and never put up with other Irkens' garbage ever again.
It was a good plan. A foolproof plan. And then Purple ruined it. (Except for the snacks.)
