Summary
It's been three long years since the barrier broke.
In less than a day, Frisk befriended every monster in their path, shattered the barrier, and, in theory, freed them from their bondage. Frisk was a legend. Even those who never interacted with Frisk revered them.
Yet, their savior was missing. Frisk hasn't been seen or heard from since.
The surface had many moving parts. Being underground for hundreds of years left them with no knowledge of its machinations. The monsters were at a disadvantage. Politicians litigated to their heart's content, the mages schemed, and worst of all, the general populace was wholly unaccepting.
Worse still, Mosterkind remained underground. Only a select few were allowed to leave. Never very far either. Trapped behind a different barrier, a less physical one, but no less insurmountable.
That is until one day, Frisk returned, flanked by the two long-dead royal children. However, Frisk was different. More bombastic, unbelievably impulsive, and entirely more emotive.
Perhaps they should have stayed away.

Summary
They have finally done it. After so many years of the same, Frisk and Chara have finally saved Asriel Dreemurr.
As I get a better idea of what exactly this is going to become I'll change up the tags.
