Summary
Lucine Brooks had lived the first fifteen years of her life in blissful unsubstantiality. She was competently unspectacular, had maybe one good friend, and her existence was of little concern to those around her. When she begins receiving ominous letters from an unknown sender, her once normal existence is shattered.
A blood oath. A price to pay. A phantom who lurks within the shadows of her greatest fears.
As her circle grows around her, she can't help but feel as if she's putting them all in danger, but now that she's had a taste of what companionship feels like, Lucine isn't eager to let go. Even if it costs her.
