Summary
When his headache subsided, Derek uncurled and blinked at his surroundings until they came into focus.
Uneven rocky walls, coated with glowing moss-like plants. An odd contraption made of glass. Rows of clay containers filled with substances he’d never seen before. Two gleaming round eyes, staring right at him.
Derek did not panic. He simply made a strategic retreat. If it happened to be hasty and ill-thought, and resulted in his sore wings narrowly missing the many delicate items and hitting the walls instead, well. It was just an error in execution.
The humanoid with the glowing eyes watched his flailing calmly, not blinking once. After a few long seconds of uncanny staring, it spoke.
“⍑ᒷꖎꖎ𝙹,”
or;
A freak storm sends a lone avian plummeting into the depths of a strange, vast lake, where he is rescued by a passing jellyfish. Shenanigans ensue.
