Does he have a family? Is he rich? Or poor? Is he an alpha? Or a beta? He doesn’t feel like an omega. He’s not a human too, that’s for sure. He can’t be a vampire. He’s not craving blood. As if her lungs have been paralyzed, Hanbin coughs loudly and abrasively. “I—I’m not. I was just… sketching. Erm. I’m sorry.”
A gust of wind picks up between them, whipping Hao’s hair around her shoulders like a halo. Hao, eyes tearing through Hanbin’s skin and bone, smiles. “You’re silly.” Then, with nimble fingers she wraps Hanbin’s wrists in her embrace and begins to tug her towards the sea. “Come,” she murmurs, a siren leading her prey to their death, “swim with me.”
Hanbin, a young artist, is tasked to paint a wedding portrait for bride-to-be Lady Zhang—though she must keep it a secret, because the lady, in an act of defiance against the matrimony, refuses to be painted.
