Summary
Survival had been simple back in Nevada; a delusion of normalcy amidst the frothing maelstrom that was the world beyond their city walls. They lived by the land and whatever scraps they could scrounge up on supply runs, harbouring a slow growing community that had all the potential to blossom. It was the closest thing to perfection someone could hope for in a wasteland, a place to sleep safely at night with no care for the monstrosities that prowled outside the barbed wire fences.
Though, all that glitters is not gold and Clementine has a way of finding these things out the hard way. After tagging along with her friends to 'tie up loose ends' in Jackson, the gory aftershocks of revenge are nipping at her heels, unearthing old battle scars 'til they're bleeding and molten. Her life is an upheaval all over again — a whirlwind of old friends and familiar faces, guilt prickling along her nape, blood encrusting her cuticles. She finds herself tangled up in the ebb and flow of a brutal cycle; an eye for a goddamn eye. . .
It all begs the question: at what point is Clementine still fighting for her own survival?
