All Kaeya knows is that he likes that possessed look on Childe’s face when he’s risen to the bait, thrown his weapons aside and taken Kaeya’s shirt into his fists. It is the first time in Kaeya’s life that someone has been able to lift his feet from the ground with only their raw strength, their hands on him. Looking down the length of his arms, bare and scarred, to the burning blue so unlike when the Abyss takes him. Ah, Childe is so wonderful like this. Sparks, literal bursts of light, explode in the dark matter of Kaeya’s head. It’s dizzying, painful, and utterly addicting.
He’s gotten as used to the taste of salt and starshine as he has to his own blood.
