Summary
It’s predictable really, that Yuji finds himself tossing and turning in his bed during the later hours of the night after the three of them part ways. Even though movie nights with his friends tend to help, restless nights aren’t unfamiliar for him. After Shibuya, he’s practically used to it. Yet he isn’t haunted by Shibuya or Shinjuku or anything of the sort tonight. Instead, Yuji finds himself unable to sleep because of his upcoming birthday.

He shifts instead to lay his head in Megumi’s lap, looking up at him as he eats. Megumi doesn’t move to pet his head, as he hoped, but he does shift his legs to make Yuji more comfortable, which is basically the same thing in his book. “You look very sharp from this angle.” He observes.
Megumi glances down at Yuji, humming around a bite of soba before he swallows to respond.

Yuji tugged at the red string. Firmly wrapped, infused with cursed energy, and almost translucent. He tugged at it with a bit more vigor.
“Stop messing with it!” Megumi grunted, “In Jujutsu sorcery, if two people trace the lovers' triangle, it ties their souls together!”
No wonder pulling at the red string felt like pulling at his heartstrings.
