He took deep breaths and tried to remember it didn't matter too much. He was here now, he was living the way he wanted to and it was brilliant. Josh could hear the clock ticking against the wall. He knew that if he looked at it, it'd read 1:47, exactly three minutes past when he last looked at it, and about twenty minutes since he'd shown up late to his appointment with Stanley Keyworth. Not that he was counting.
He hadn't said anything in the past three minutes. Neither of them had. The office had been oddly quiet for a room containing Joshua Lyman.
Maybe that was part of the point.
