Summary
Any professional reply died on his lips. It wasn’t like he was unhappy with the way he looked. It was more that strange men usually didn’t go out of their way to point it out to him. The stranger chuckled, waving his hand absently. Edwin noted that his fingernails were painted silver.
“Don’t worry, I don’t bite.” His smirk widened before he added, sounding mildly curious: “Unless you want me to, of course.”
Edwin’s stomach did another of those undignified little flips. “Why would I want you to bite me?” he asked, confusion outweighing his embarrassment for a moment, even though plenty of experience with Charles and also Crystal had taught him that sometimes asking questions did more to reveal his naivety than to conceal it. He certainly wouldn’t forget the handjob-conversation in a hurry.
OR
The epic (hopefully) season 1 fix-it-fic (hopefully) for all the people who (like me) were rooting for a catwin endgame
Now featuring: an office in Port Townsend, ballroom dancing, crow feathers and cat scratches, hell, palm readings, cat nip and Fleetwood Mac
You're welcome

Summary
“Crystal!”
Charles’ voice is tight with terror as he takes a few quick steps towards her but she shakes her head mutely. The blood stain on the front of her shirt does not grow and she stands up straight, despite the fact that she is pale as – well, as death. Three pairs of eyes shift towards the Cat King at the same time, who stands only a step away from Crystal now and who returns their look for a moment before glancing down at himself. Down, towards the rip in the front of his jumper, the fabric quickly getting soaked through with blood. The claw that had been meant for Crystal had cut straight through fabric and deep into his flesh.
“Oh, fuck” he mutters, sounding faintly annoyed. “I really liked this jumper.”

Summary
Loving other men won't get him anywhere. Charles knows this. With women, he can find company, companionship, and open affection. A home, perhaps children, a shared life. With men it's hiding, and fumbling in dark corners, and shrinking away from each other as soon as possible. Never speaking of it again. He'd gotten around enough at university to know the difference between wanting a woman and wanting a man. Erik won't be any different, Charles knows, and the knowledge sears across him like a whip.

Summary
Charles and Erik broke up. After a few months of break up sex and fruitless efforts to fix things, Erik thinks it might be time to move on (or at least try to). Naturally, this goes well for everyone involved.

Summary
It's the only kind of ritual Charles has ever wanted. If he’s going to survive a week in Westchester without torching the house and everyone in it, he needs Erik. If it's tanked a relationship or two, it's not a big deal - not many people, it turns out, are fine with him disappearing for weeks over Christmas, let alone refusing to stop sleeping with his best friend while he’s at it. Apparently, that doesn’t qualify as “emotionally available.”

Summary
Charles picks up two things of note: a) Erik Lehnsherr, a nobody from District 10, has just won the games, and b) he is absolutely, devastatingly, tragically beautiful.
The Capitol will love him. The Capitol will eat him up.
Better you should have died, Charles thinks, shifting his weight under Iturius’ searching hands and feeling a pang of dread for the boy on the screen.
———
or: Erik wins his Games. Charles won long ago. And in Panem, winning always comes at a cost.
