How can Yuta tell Mox that he can’t be his herald right now?
Speak for me, and he does, but his voice these days is not dark with terrible purpose; a knowing and inhuman shade does not color his words. He speaks with conviction and sincerity, but not, crucially, any magic. They’re just words. They don’t mean anything more. Yuta believes them, but he can’t force that belief onto anyone else. He’s inert.
Or: Being a seer usually means interpreting vague and unclear signs. Wheeler Yuta really wishes the universe would go back to sending him vague and unclear signs.
