The couple dynamic feels so canon
The deceptively casual read has deep pockets of emotional punches
Chapters are divided nicely. Didn't think I was gonna enjoy 1st person POVs but this proves me wrong.

Summary
Lee Felix has spent his whole life under the sea by Prince Hwang Hyunjin’s side as his best friend, and his devotion is nothing short of dying for him. So when the two overhear plans to make Hyunjin king and that both he and Felix are not actually merfolk but ‘water-breathers’ who are capable of transforming into a human form, Felix follows Hyunjin to the surface of the sea to escape into the human world that his best friend has always dreamed of. The heavy fear and burden of hiding their identity from everyone else isn’t enough to combat Felix’s desire to make Hyunjin happy. Because in Felix’s eyes, there’s nothing a best friend won’t do to obtain that…when they’re deeply in love with their other half.
ALTERNATIVELY: Half-merfolk Hyunjin and Felix are thrown into the human world, clueless to everything. The only thing Felix is sure of is his intense love for Hyunjin that he's carried his whole life.

Warm crests of tender emotions that encompasses Hyunjin and Felix's love beautifully. It's comofortable and warm, wish they could float in each other arm's humming serene lullabies smiling together.
