I remembered the afterparty. A kind smile. The world slowed, minimized to it, and its focus moved up to gaze at a pair of soft, warm, green eyes.
“Something caught your eye?” I’d asked.
I don't remember his response, but I could hear my voice saying, “You’re Hozier, right?”
He looked at me like a deer in headlights. “Yeah. Ehm—Andrew’s alright too, though.”
None of my memories found him again, but that didn't matter. Andrew was Hozier and, for whatever reason, he owed me something.
