Stone shook his head. "You said this wasn't a mission from G.U.N."
"G.U.N. has their own agenda," Walters said. "Shadow can still be powerful. The files regarding his origin and testing from over fifty years ago are a bit jumbled, some incomplete, and G.U.N. wishes to find Shadow to keep him both contained and to measure his full potential."
Walters paused, gathering his words before saying, "I want... I am asking you to find Shadow before G.U.N. does."

Summary
Sonic has nightmares with Shadow as the victim. One night, Sonic finds presumed dead Shadow in the process of stealing a sleeping bag from the Wachowsky garage. Armed with sandwiches and hot chocolate, Sonic might convince Shadow that he doesn't have to carry guilt about hurting Tom.
But nothing is as simple as it first appears when Sonic finds out he's romantically attracted to Shadow. While also trying to keep Shadow's status a secret.

Summary
Instead of the canon events of Sonic Adventure 2, Rouge and Eggman open the stasis unit on Prison Island to find... a baby, because Gerald Robotnik hadn't figured out how to make his Ultimate Lifeform in an older stage of life. Eggman wants nothing to do with raising a child, but Rouge knows of someone who she can trust to keep little Shadow safe and sound: the hero Sonic the Hedgehog.
Now, of course, Sonic's left with a terrifyingly powerful baby, and he needs to take a very fast crash course in parenting. Thankfully, he's not alone in this, because he isn't sure what he would have done without the support of his friends, especially given this baby is already starting to develop Chaos powers.
