“Should we leave?” Bamby asks at one point. They’re somewhere west of the city center today and Eunho is scrounging up parts for his bike in an auto shop that Bamby’s never visited before. He hops onto the counter, the back of his feet thumping gently against the paneling as he swings them back and forth. Someone’s lunch sits uneaten in a yellowing tupperware next to him, decaying.
“We could go anywhere we wanted,” Bamby says. “Find a house near the mountains. We could go hiking every morning, Eunho-ya, wouldn’t that be nice?”
