Mike Wheeler hated his sister's boyfriends. It wasn't complicated, it was moral principle.
Steve Harrington was a jock. A hair-product-using, car-polishing, dumb-smiling jerk. Mike was a nerd. By the rules of nature and comic book law, Mike was obligated to hate him.
Then came Jonathan. He had known him almost as long as he had known Will. Quiet. Awkward. Supposedly "nice". Except the Wheeler household had thin walls, and he had heard too many late-night muffled sobs over the phone.
Conclusion: Boyfriends = bad. Boyfriends = tears. Boyfriends = Mike Wheeler's sworn enemy.
So when Nancy starts to act happy and giddy, and Mike swears he heard her giggle over the phone. Nancy Wheeler. GIGGLE! He starts to get suspicious and recruits none other than the party to help him figure it out.

Other couples would consider a disagreement or a fight a bump in the road. But for Robin and Vickie, a bump in the road was the leftover trauma they had from everything that had happened. Robin had longer to process everything- she had been in it since 1985. She had over two years to get used to all the insanity and bullshit that was going on in Hawkins; so when Vickie was struggling more than her with it, she understood.
On occasion, it could be seen as overbearing. Vickie would call Robin on her breaks at the hospital. She would hover over her in their apartment, just trying to be near her. Robin couldn’t exactly blame her, either. They didn’t really have time to relay over the walkie talkies that everything had gone smoothly- especially not after Vickie and Max had been taken without anyone knowing. While Vickie was outwardly struggling, Robin was struggling more internally.
