When she reaches him, she straddles his hips, her lips claiming his. He’s eager to accept her and she can feel why where he’s pressed against her. His hands go to her waist for one quick moment before the travel lower grabbing her bare ass. She almost moans out at the feeling, she almost gives in. Almost. Summary
AU: The Darkling and Alina battled for centuries, but Alina has the upper hand.
The Darkling has been captured. Unwilling to kill him, Alina still feels guilty about imprisoning him essentially forever, so she insists on humane treatment. This is made more possible by the discovery that she can temporarily drain him of his powers, allowing him to safely have some freedoms within the palace grounds in between depletion sessions. But depletion requires skin to skin contact, and all that touching is taking a toll.

“I am a living amplifier. It feels natural to me to use my power to enhance the magic of others. Whatever it is you’re doing when you siphon from me is some unnatural intensification and perversion of my own core instinct to give of myself to you.”
“When you take from me like this,” his lowered voice curled around her like thunder wrapped in velvet, “it feels…” he closed his eyes and kept them closed as he spoke. “Like I’ve.. always belonged to you.”
“Please,” he moaned, wincing as if in pain. Alina felt his words vibrate his chest and continued to be unable to form words of her own. “Alina, let me…please you.” He implored weakly. “I was made for you.”
