Eddie truly thought this year would be his year. Nothing was going to stop him from crawling past the D- finish line and graduating from the cease-pool that was Hawkin’s High. Except, a little wanted for murder here and a dash of killer psychic monsters there insured he’d be graduating from life instead.
At least in his final hours he was with people that cared. People who added joy to his life like Dustin Henderson or people who turned expectations on their head like Steve Harrington. So, it was okay, he’d lied to himself. Death wasn’t so bad.
In fact what was more concerning was waking up after he’d long taken his last breath.
