Odysseus’ admiring gaze doesn’t stray from Achilles for one second. “To think Athena would guide my ship to such beauty.”
Achilles raises a single unimpressed eyebrow. This certainly wasn’t what he’d been expecting. “You’re too kind, my lord. But I fear Athena may have steered you wrong, despite her brilliance. The gods know there is far greater beauty on other Isles.”
“Surely none that shine brighter than you, my dear.” The answer is quick and tinged with knowing laughter. Achilles fights the feeling he's just stepped into a trap.
