Summary
Tim clambered in, his head brushing against the dress shirts hanging above him, and pulled the Wonder Woman blanket over him.
Warmth seemed to engulf him like a protective shield. Tim rubbed his hands against the soft fabric, letting the fluff slip through his fingers. He felt as though he was seven again, but that didn’t matter because he could feel his eyelids closing and the comforting pull of sleep on his mind.
He let out a content sign and gave in to unconsciousness.

“Hey there baby bird,” Red Hood’s voice had an element of energy to it that suggested he was smiling under that helmet of his.
“You’re not supposed to be here,” Tim replied, his knuckles whitening as he gripped the batarang.
Batman wouldn’t be happy to hear about the encounter.
“What’s going on, Robin?” Barbara asked over the comms, “Who isn’t supposed to be there?”
Tim didn’t answer, he didn’t need Bruce storming over there to get him. He could deal with one lonely criminal on his own.
“Don’t be like that,” Red Hood took a step forward, “I just came to talk.”

Tim felt himself relax a little at the decreased proximity, but he was still fairly tense.
“My survival instincts aren’t the problem.” He replied, “The problem is I have no idea why I’m here or why I’m still alive.”
“I may hate Batman a lot, but I’m not an idiot.” Red Hood took another step back, “I don’t want him on my back for killing off his new bird.”
“So, you kidnapped me instead?” Tim snorted, “Because that makes total sense.”
“Oh, believe me, I don’t want you here.” Red Hood replied.
Or: When Jason seeks out Robin killing him was never the intention, Jason just planned to rough the boy up a bit (okay, a lot), to show both him and Bruce how this wasn’t a job fit for a child. Except when he arrives it turns out someone beat him to it.
