Bluejay smiled faintly, “No problem. I’m sorry I wasn’t quicker.”
Dick followed his gaze downwards to his now ripped top was that revealing new bruises underneath.
“Not your problem,” Dick replied. “I’ve had worse.”
Bluejay’s jaw clenched, “Yeah I can imagine.”
Dick moved to walk past when suddenly a hand shot out. It stopped before it could grasp his arm, lingering there as the boy hesitated. Slowly, Dick turned to face him.
“I just…” Bluejay frowned, biting his lip. “There are shelters. The Wayne Foundation ones are good, they’re not trafficking fronts like the others. I know it feels like you have no choice, but there are better options out there.”
“Yeah.” Dick managed to choke out. “Sure, there are kid.”
Or: Dick isn't adopted by Bruce when his parents die. Years later he's making a living as a prostitute on the streets whilst trying to avoid Batman and his new sidekick.

Bruce began to head for an exit, sidestepping women in their tight-fitted dresses in an attempt to get away from the noise, “I’m not busy, no.”
Jason scoffed, “You don’t have to lie. I don’t expect you to cancel plans for me. I can just -”
“Don’t hang up!” Bruce said so suddenly that he forgot where he was and caused several heads to turn.

“No one is getting killed,” Batman said quickly.
“Tell that to the kids starving on the street!” Jason yelled, suddenly springing to his feet, “Tell that to the hookers freezing to death and the mothers dying cause they don’t earn enough to afford both antibiotics and the necessities to survive!”
“I am helping -” Batman started.
“You ain’t helpin’ anyone.” Jason interrupted, “You just beat up the duggies, put the pushers out of work and leave the hookers without clients. It’s called crime alley for a reason. If ya wanna make money round here you gotta be a criminal, except you can’t cause the bat will beat you if you do. You ain’t helpin’, you’re making life worse.”

Before he could stop himself Tim was taking in a sharp breath that sounded almost pained.
One of his men must have talked, he supposed that’s what you got when you hire anyone who’s interested, but it still hurt. Maybe he should create proper profiles on all of them once this is done so he can deduce who’s trustworthy and who isn’t.
“No,” Tim said, although he was aware how obviously it was a lie.
Or: Tim accidentally becomes a crime lord.

“Killed?” Jason echoed; he could feel his skin paling.
“Duffel bag full of heads, thirty mob bosses shot dead at their meeting, several drug warehouses blown to smithereens, the dude you literally just killed two minutes ago.” Dick replied, “Ringing any bells?”
“Duffel bag full of…” Jason’s voice caught in his throat, “Heads?”
