No woman has ever made Andrew feel that way in a long time.
Diane had, for a while, at least until the constant fights and misunderstandings began to happen.
She used to be a lovely woman. She showed her affection all the time, giving kisses and hugs to Andrew any time she could and he welcomed those gestures, but she became so insufferable when she complained about not being complimented enough, loved enough and blaming it all on Andrew for being a workaholic. She simply couldn't understand him. She couldn't understand anything. His work...His city meant the world to him and no other project could take it's place. Rapture was his safe haven, for him and for anyone who came here with the intentions of getting away from their problems in the surface.
Diane couldn't understand, but Jasmine did.
Until she didn't.

Summary
Mel took to spreading the clay mask carefully across her forehead, down the slope of her nose, to her cheeks, and chin. Areas which usually had her gold sigils on display, standing out against her dark skin were now a light lavender color. It complemented the mask’s additive scent beautifully. All part of enhancing the meditative experience. In the middle of doing the final touch-ups on her mask she paused, a soft smile curling her lips.
