    “You know I like you,” Riku starts. Where he got this burst of courage from, Mark doesn’t know, but he’s reeling with it anyway. It probably has something to do with the way he’d looked Mark up and down, eyes noticing how the older was so red he almost looked feverish, “So why don’t you like me?”

    Something in Mark snaps. He grabs Riku by the back of his hair and pauses, briefly, as if in question. Riku looks in his eyes for the first time that day and nods, and Mark is kissing him before he even has time to think about it.
