“Oh…” she breaths. “This is the Other Universe.” That must make sense to Ekko because his eyes widen and although he doesn’t move back again she can see a layer of wariness ripple over him. Now she can see how open he was being with her because it all shuts down neatly, and he’s not being unfriendly as much as she can now see how much he trusts Powder. Her Ekko had told her about this. He’d draped his coat around her, she'd asked him about that machine he’d made and he’d looked at her long and hard before he’d replied, wetting his lips.

Summary
Naruto can’t remember how, but he accidentally stumbles into a totally different world from his, where shinobi does not exist and there’s something akin to a sickness going around this world that makes the dead rise up. While he tries to come to terms with this new place, with Kurama’s help of course, he crosses path with a few survivors being attacked by a particular big horde, and because he can’t keep himself out of other people’s business, he decides to help them out— Much to Kurama’s annoyance.
And if he accidentally starts adopting a entire flock of kids like his little siblings, well, that's a plus.
