Summary
"It had been some time since Pharloom had been freed from its silken bindings, and since Lace had taken residence with the annoying spider responsible for both the deed and Lace’s continued existence. Long enough for the two to become accustomed to each other's presence, and long enough for familiarity to breed contempt."
For a brief moment, things had been better between Lace and her rival-turned-companion. Now they were not (and nor was she), but that wouldn't stop Hornet from dragging her to the faraway land of her birth. A story about struggling, companionship, and how healing is never a straight line. -
