It's been weeks since the Dostoevsky incident, and it's time for the Port Mafia to choose an agency member. The (un)lucky chosen is none other than Edogawa Ranpo, but for what reasons?
Ranpo finds out secrets about his past, and oh boy, are those secrets hard to unfold. Atleast he's got a friend with him. Sort of a friend.

The detective sighs. He reclines onto the headboard, finally explaining the events, eventually leading up to the officer's comment earlier.

Summary
He tries to call out to the kid, but he can't. He can just watch, as the boy sits down in the rain, head down, hugging his bag. The man can't help but feel unexpected pity, seeing this view, not being able to move, to help. Which was intriguing. He never really felt for anyone, save for a few people he saw at their worst.
