“You win,” he murmured. Jabber, again, had his demeanor suddenly change. He looked at Zanka without the slightest malice, despite him having just tried to kill him a few seconds earlier.

A soft laugh came from Jabber, his eyes dilated, “Just hit me again, yeah?” His smug smile lifted his cheeks.

If Megumi left for good on the 25th of this month, that meant he only had two weeks to fix this.
Thanks to his blunder, the idea of confessing was a lot more daunting. His love for Megumi made him rash- he didn’t know how to handle himself. The confidence Yuji had in Megumi feeling the same dropped dramatically.
How weird it felt to envy a younger him who had Megumi right in his arms, yet struggled to profess love even then.

In honor of nearing their end at Jujutsu Tech, and Megumi’s decision of “taking a break” as a sorcerer, Yuji invites Megumi to a night out with him at a party.

"Itadori-sama," Megumi says, bowing deeper than he ever has in his entire life. Itadori is, after all, the oldest man on Earth; if anyone deserves respect, it's him. "I'm the sorcerer who'll be assisting you. My name is Sugisawa Megumi."
He lifts his head in time to see something pass over Itadori's face—a shadow of some kind, an infinitesimal twitch of muscle. "Megumi," he repeats, his voice a low murmur, and Megumi's surprised at how familiar it sounds coming from Itadori's mouth. "Huh. What an old fashioned name."
(Or: two hundred and sixty-six years after his death, Fushiguro Megumi is reborn. It takes a while before either he or Yuuji realise it.)
