Chapter Text
Today really wasn't Jin's day. He was prone to things going wrong, but this was no joke! Jin needs the money to continue paying for the rent of his apartment and in order to that has taken up a job in business. The hours were long and the work was draining but it was worth it, it's the most convenient job he could find. Today he was meeting the new boss and had to propose an idea to him to see if he was worthy to stay on the main team or if he should be replaced. His salary would be greatly effected by the results of course. So he stayed up all night trying to get the perfect presentation ready and he succeeded! Small problem, he overslept.
Running 13 minutes late so far and counting, Jin jumped around the house, rushing to get ready. He caught a later train and ran to his office building, not forgetting about his coffee from Costa on the way of course. And with that he approached the door, when suddenly a blonde man, taller than Jin, very slim and oh so handsome bumped into him, causing Jin to spill half his coffee all over his suit!
The man didn't apologise, or even look up from his smart phone and just continued to walk.
"Excuse me?!" Jin said tapping the man's shoulder angrily. Now Jin was generally very sweet and had a big heart. But this guy messed with the wrong guy on the wrong morning. Jin poured the remaining contents of the cup onto the men's head, ruining his suit. Jin felt victorious as the coffee trickled down the others face but suddenly greatly alarmed when the man growled.
Yes, growled at him.
Jin took that as a que to leave and practically sprinted up the stairs of his office building, to what he assumed would be safety for now anyways.
"Jin hyung, what happened to your suit?" The sunshine Hoseok asked the older.
"Ah this? Just a slight accident..." Jin replied sitting down at his computer desk and opening up all his work. It was saved here perfectly! The day wasn't going too great so far, but he knows he can turn that around with a well delivered presentation.
" The boss is called Namjoon, office rumors are saying he's in a really bad mood today", Hoseok gossiped.
"That makes two people in this office today", Jin huffed.
"Seokjin? Go up to the main room", said Namjoon's secretary to Jin. Jin nodded and rushed up the stairs to the office. This is it. Mess it up and it's over, do everything as planned and it's just the start. He swung open the door, trying to look as calm and collected as possible. That didn't last long as he immediately recognized the face.
Namjoon is the idiot from this morning?! What? Well Jin didn't regret anything, he deserved that, and now the others blonde hair looked slightly sticky from the previous events of the morning, perhaps it left a bad impression on some people, Jin thought evilly. Here goes nothing.
Jin loaded up his PowerPoint and started to unroll all his posters containing various graphs and points.
"I believe to change the average inco-" Jin was cut off.
"Hmm I disagree with you completely", Namjoon said, enjoying the authority he had over the rude man who spilt coffee all over his blonde hair this morning. This brunette man with plump lips, a soft pink staining his cheeks, fluffy brown hair and chocolate eyes had ever so rudely spilt coffee on namjoons perfectly styled blonde hair and for that he's gonna pay.
Jin visibly took a deep breath, " I don't believe that's fair, I haven't even started..."
"I wasn't aware that you're the boss here", Namjoon fired back.
"Well obviously not, then what would you be here for", Jin replied sassily, "I'm just saying you haven't given me a chance to present my idea."
"I already declined it. Posters are tacky. PowerPoint looks like it was made by a 5 year old girl. Your opening line wasn't very good. You have bad manners as I learnt this morning", Namjoon put emphasis on the last part, glaring at Jin.
"Excuse me? Sorry I don't want to have to make things personal but YOU spilt coffee on ME first and didn't apologise!" Jin said rather loudly.
"Doesn't matter. You aren't MY boss. I'm YOUR boss. Fine show me your shitty presentation and then get out." Namjoon said bitterly. Jin was being respectful at first but Namjoon eventually lost that privilege. He knew he was being mean, but something about the way Jin made him feel made him clueless as to how to react. So he decided to be mean after all he did spill coffee on him the day he had to introduce himself to a whole office of judgy workers.
Wow. Jin was smart. He made excellent points and was incredibly passionate, despite Namjoon trying to look as uninterested as possible, everytime Jin turned his back he was scanning all the posters and graphs, admiring the adorable handwriting. The official color is black but Jin seemed to idnore that and wrote in a beautiful pink. Jin handed over Namjoon the last sheet, which had a huge bulk of writing in a small pink font. That one took Jin the longest and he was incredibly proud of it. Namjoon could easily see that.
Don't do it. Don't do it. Don't do itttt.
RIPPPPPP
The sound of paper ripping shattered Jin's heart. What the hell is wrong with Namjoon?!
"What the hell! That took me all night!" Jin stated, frustrated.
"Pink is not an official colour, not to mention how ugly it is and how cheap of a shade it is", Namjoon lied; pink was his favourite colour.
"Are you being serious. Tell me how the hell is a colour determined as ugly?" Jin said angrily.
"Easy. Find the persons who favours it and look at them", Namjoon said pointing at the ripped up page then back to Jin, "Pink is ugly".
Ouch that one hurt. Although Jin knew of his great looks and that Namjoon was just trying to bring him down that was a good burn but Jin felt something a little deeper than that. Reminders of bullies. Oh god he hates thinking about his sappy past and Namjoon was pulling him back into it, drowning him in unwanted deja vu.
Jin wasn't thinking. He just went for it.
