Summary
John mourns quietly, it is subdued and prolonged, and John isn't sure if it is proper grief at all, because since the fall everything he does feels like part of a holding pattern he has adopted as he waits for something, someone. Meanwhile, Sherlock becomes an internal companion, a mental voice that narrates John's life, criticising his choices in sexual partners and yoghurt brands.
