Work Text:
The library was a place he wasn’t overly acquainted with. He rarely stepped foot in the place if he was completely honest, preferring to do his studying at home and take the books out when he could. But that day was an exception. He had an assignment due and he couldn’t afford to have Kaminari and Mina distracting him with their usual antics. What ended up distracting him was something he never expected.
Three tables over there was a blonde. A vaguely familiar but ultimately strange blonde. Thick brows were drawn together and every now and then the furious writing would stop as his pencil snapped and he had to repeated click down on the mechanical pencil before he could continue. He was focused. Strong. Explosive. Had an expansive vocabulary that Kirishima could do nothing but admire, and the most attractive pair of golden glasses framing blazing red eyes.
He whipped his phone out and opened Snapchat, trying to be as sneaky as he possibly could as he caught a photo of the blonde sat so far away. He was too focused to notice, running a hand through wild locks of hair.
Kirishima practically drooled on his page as he tapped out some text overlaying the image and sent it to his best friend, debating whether or not it would be too weird if he actually took a photo to keep in his phone.
Kami I found a cutie in the library send help.
It took approximately five minutes before he had a reply. Five agonising minutes of deciding that yes it probably would be weird, but he also didn’t care.
The image was of his blonde best friend and his pink haired course mate. Kaminari looked rather concerned and uncertain about the whole thing, while Ashido grinned wide and shot the camera a peace sign.
Wtf bro thts Minas flatm8
He felt a swelling of hope as he realised that was why the blonde looked vaguely familiar. He probably had caught glances of him whenever they visited the pink haired woman. He scowled down as he took a close up picture of his own angry face.
Mina where have you been keeping him???
He tapped the back of his phone before another reply came with a slightly blurred photo of pink hair, black eyes framed with winged eyeliner, and his best bro in the background shouting.
Last party he was @ he punched Denki.
That explained it. That explained a whole lot. He was going to have to get that story later on.
Another photo of Ashido flashed on the screen. This one showed her shiny sharp teeth.
I can introduce u if u want?
There was a manic look to her smile that made him think that, no, he really didn’t want. It was probably best to keep Ashido as far away from his love life as he possibly could.

It was singularly one of the worst decisions Bakugou had ever made. He was sat with Uraraka when it happened in the café attached to the university dorms. The pair were working through texts they had for a core lecture they were both required to attend when he caught their pink haired flatmate talking far too fucking loudly to a brightly coloured red haired man.
He scowled. They were too loud. It was annoying.
‘Bakugou are you still paying attention?’
‘Shut the fuck up,’ he muttered as he got his phone out. ‘They’re being far too fucking loud. I swear to fuck I’m going to call that raccoon eyed tramp-!’
‘Don’t be rude.’
‘-And I’m going to make her regret the day she decided to interrupt my studying.’
‘Do you really want to disturb her while she’s having a conversation? I’m sure you can wait.’
His frown deepened. He came up with a different idea instead. Tapping the yellow app he held the phone up and squinted as he took the photo with the pair of obnoxious college students laughing at something one of them had said. It probably wasn’t even funny.
His gaze lingered a second too long before he started to type. Tank tops really suited whoever the fuck she was hanging out with. Showed off some powerful arms.
Who the fuck is this joker and shut up your loud
He pressed send with his usual four second timer before he dropped his phone on the table next to him. He expected Uraraka to scold him for being too rough with it again, tell him that was the reason there was a massive crack along the screen in front of the front facing camera. She didn’t. She was worse than that.
‘Who is this joker?’
‘What?’
‘I thought you were going to tell her off for being too loud?’
‘I did.’
There was a grin across her face that he definitely didn’t like.
‘Shut the fuck up Angel Face no one likes you.’
‘I mean, I know that’s not true, but nice try. Maybe you should call her. Maybe you should go over and introduce yourself.’
‘Eat shit.’
‘He’s pretty cute, isn’t he?’ she didn’t know when to quit. ‘I’m fairly certain he’s doing one of the sports courses. Kirishima, if my brain remembers right.’
‘Hang on a second you fuck why didn’t you tell me you knew who he fucking was before I sent that damn--?!’
There was a flash on the screen of his phone. The pair went quiet. He picked it up and noticed the little red square waiting for him from Alien Queen.
It was ten seconds long. She must’ve taken it while they were chatting about something because the redhead had a wide smile on his face and a flush to his cheeks as he calmed down from laughing. Everything about him seemed to ooze a solid strength. A set jaw that seemed to hold teeth that were too sharp to be legal. Defined cheek bones that sat below red eyes.
He felt his heart do the thing he hated.
His Snapchat is Red Riot ;)
He stared at the photo for the whole ten seconds as he tried to memorise each and every curve of the sun kissed face. The photo disappeared and he kind of wished he’d saved it but was incredibly glad he didn’t because no that was bad don’t do that.
‘Are you gonna add him?’
He scoffed at Uraraka’s question. He could feel her hovering over his shoulder. ‘No. Fuck off.’
She didn’t move. ‘You totally should.’
‘…Okay.’
He heard her breathing stop as he moved through the menus and found the add button. Red Riot was easy to find. He sent the request.
He threw the phone across the table and it went skidding onto the floor.
‘Bakugou what was that?!’
He buried his face in his hands as he tried to regain composure. ‘Oh my fuck why did I do that.’
She stood as she scrambled round the other side of the table to retrieve his phone for him. She really was too caring. He wasn’t going to complain. Her hand was on his back once she’d sat back down and began cooing at him.
‘It’s a good thing! This is good! This is how you make friends and connect with people!’
‘I fucking hate people.’
‘You like me, and Mina! And…’ she trailed off. ‘Well, we’re people. That’s the main thing.’
‘Racoon Eyes isn’t a fucking person. She’s an alien.’
‘She’s not actual an alien, Bakugou. That was a joke.’
‘She’s a fucking alien and no one can tell me otherwise. She’s got the wool pulled over your eyes. I see through it.’
He could practically feel her roll her eyes. ‘Maybe you’ll like this person then. But in a different way to how you like me and Mina.’
He finally pulled away from his hands in order to glare at her. ‘I don’t like you. I hate you.’
‘You’re lucky you’re smart and take good notes. Otherwise I would’ve left a long time ago.’
Half an hour later he braved opening up his phone again. He nearly had a heart attack when he saw he had a Snapchat from one Red Riot. Uraraka next to him tried to steal his phone from his hands in her desperation to see exactly what it was and demanded he hurried his ass up and opened it so they could see what the redhead had to say.
There was a wide smile of someone outdoors wearing the dumbest pair of sunglasses Bakugou had ever seen grace the planet with red eyes peaking out from over the top.
Mina said she gave my Snapchat 2 a cute boy. Dis u?
He could feel that heart attack coming on any second. Uraraka stole his phone before he managed to throw it across the table and she double tapped the name before holding the phone high in the sky and taking a selfie with him and his stupid red face.
Heyhey Kiri Uraraka here with 1 cute boy 4 u.
Bakugou nearly punched her in the face. He probably would’ve done if Midoriya hadn’t appeared to save her sorry ass as she tossed the phone at him and gathered her things with a quick ‘bye!’ before disappearing and leaving him to his own thoughts. It was the worst. She was the worst.
He tried not to smile too much when the name flashed up on his screen again.
--
Kirishima learnt that Bakugou was very blunt. That he had in his room a secret limited edition mint figurine of the popular hero All Might which he flat out refused to talk about, and the one time that Kirishima did bring it up was followed by a torrent of angry words. He learnt that Bakugou rarely took photos of himself.
He learnt that there was a very good reason why red was his favourite colour and it was right there in those eyes.
He was sat around the flat not paying attention to a conversation that his flatmates plus Ashido were having, too busy taking blurry pictures of the table and overlaying it with text about random shit and receiving replies in turn when Ashido took matters into her own hands.
Sero grabbed the phone with his long arms before he passed it to the girl who grinned wide and shot a wink at him from across the table. He was beginning to see why Bakugou called her such horrible names.
‘What are you doing, Eijirou?’ was her question with that playful tone. ‘What’s so important that you’re ignoring your best friends?!’
‘Give me my phone back!’ he argued as he slapped his hand against the table a few times. ‘We’re adults here! Stop acting like a five year old!’
Kaminari snorted at that. ‘I bet he’s Snapchatting his boyfriend.’
‘He’s not my boyfriend.’
‘Don’t open one, Mina. It might be a dick pic. I don’t want it to scar your pretty eyes.’
She cooed at Sero’s words. ‘You’re so sweet, looking out for me like that!’
‘I swear to fuck Mina give me my phone.’
She hummed before the grin was back, brighter than ever. ‘Nope!’
Instead she angled the device and began to tap. He recognised a photo being taken. He quickly tried to hide his face.
She slid the phone back across the table at him. ‘Next time pay attention when I’m talking to you! Else I’ll send him embarrassing snaps from my phone of your room!’
He managed to sneak a glimpse at the list when she continued to babble on about something that Tyusu had done the week before. He opened the message that he’d received back and felt his face heating up at the text written across the screen. He recognised the angry blur of blonde and sharp red.
FUCK U SPACEGIRL HE’S NOT MY BOYFRIEND.
It was probably for the best that he let that one lie for a little bit. He could respond to it later on that night. Or just pretend that it never happened.
--
She’s not actually an alien.
She is. You don’t live with her. You don’t know.
Why do you think she’s an alien?
Uh, have you fucking met her?
Fair point. I’ll give you that one.
Bakugou snorted and took a photo of Ashido as she ate her cereal at the breakfast bar in their communal area from his space sprawled across the couch. Look at this fuck. Alien. I’m telling you.
I believe you.
Good.
A messy picture of the top of Kirishima’s head. In the background you could see his flatmates tidying up the room behind him. R u coming to our party tonight?
He scowled and took another photo of Ashido eating. Dunno. When?
I think Mina’s comin round @ 9.
‘Are you taking photos of me?’
He made eye contact with her through the phone and glared. ‘Shut up and stop moving.’
‘Why are you taking-are you Snapchatting photos of me to your boyfriend?’
‘He’s not my fucking boyfriend oh my fuck how many damn times do I have to-?!’
‘Yeah, whatever, keep telling yourself that. Are you though?’
He finally met her gaze properly. ‘He didn’t believe you’re really an alien.’
‘I am offended. How could he not. I am clearly an alien.’
‘That’s what I said,’ he clicked his thumb against the edge of the phone case. ‘Are you going to this thing at their place tonight?’
She gave a perfectly innocent hum and smiled across at him. ‘Am I? I don’t know. Why, do you want to join me?’
‘Fuck off and stop being coy.’
‘I am. I’m going to go and try make a move on your man. You should come stop me. Make a move yourself and stop sending dumb gay Snapchats.’
‘Fuck you.’
‘Fuck Kirishima.’
‘Why is everyone here so fucking embarrassing for fucks sake!’ he threw his hands in the air as he tried to formulate a response. ‘Can’t even ask one damn question with it turning into a fucking conspiracy theory leave me a-fucking-lone!’
‘Whatever you say, Katsuki! I’ll be leaving at half eight, so be ready. I think the others are coming too. It’s gonna be crowded!’
He growled and began to stab his fingers at the phone screen.
I drink vodka and tomato juice. And tabasca sauce.
What really?
Yes. Have it. Else I’ll go home.
You got it Blasty!
--
Kirishima’s brain was on High Alert. The room was crowded full of people, some even hanging out in the hallway and stairs to the bedrooms. They’d done a pretty good job of cleaning up the place and with every person that showed up the array of drinks increased.
It wasn’t long till he was staring down at the smiling faces of Ashido and Uraraka, each who held two bottles of different liquids.
‘Hey!’ they chimed in chorus. ‘Party time!’
He laughed as he took the drinks and stored them on the kitchen counter with the rest. ‘Thanks guys. You’re welcome to help yourself to whatever you want, seeing as you brought so much. Is-uh-is the rest of your flat with you?’
‘Hmm?’ Uraraka’s voice was dripping with sweetness. ‘Our flat? You mean Deku?’
Ashido giggled. ‘Of course, who else could he possibly mean? It’s got to be Deku!’
‘He’s here, yeah! He’s right over there with-!’ she playfully slapped herself on the forehead. ‘-With Kacchan! Of course! That’s who you’re talking about!’
‘Kacchan?’ Kirishima jumped on it. ‘Deku?’
‘Whoops! Sorry, I mean Bakugou and Midoriya. They have silly little nicknames for each other.’
Silly little cute nicknames. What the fuck.
‘Don’t look so crestfallen, Kirishima. I’m only teasing. They’re childhood friends, they’ve known each other for years. Besides, I’m fairly certain Deku is hoping to see Todoroki while we’re here.’
The pink haired girl pushed past the man and began to grab plastic cups. ‘Your position as Best Boy is safe. I’ve seen his snapchat list. You’re the only one he has a twenty day streak with.’
‘Wow, you guys have been at this for twenty days?’
He felt thoroughly ganged up on. Brushing off the teasing he rolled his eyes and got out his phone before opening the fridge and taking a picture of the contents of the door. ‘You guys are ridiculous.’
‘Is that tomato juice?’ Uraraka pulled a face and stuck her tongue out. ‘Gross.’
Here for whenever you want it ;)
‘You’re so caring and doting, Eijirou.’
‘What? What are you talking about?’ Uraraka’s head snapped from one to the other.
Ashido’s smirk was nothing short of evil. ‘That’s Katsuki’s drink of choice. I bet there’s tabasco sauce in there too.’
Kirishima raised a brow at the brunette. ‘How do you not know what your own flatmate drinks?’
‘I don’t drink with him. I study with him. And then avoid him.’
A flash on the screen. He looked down to see a blurred photo of the opposite side of his living room. He caught a flash of bright blonde that was definitely Kaminari, whom he knew was in the middle of the room that he was occupying right now.
What you want to be congratulated or something?
Nah I just thought I’d let you know!
Get out the corner so I can go make a drink.
‘I best scarper,’ he gave Uraraka a solid pat on the shoulder. ‘Go make sure Sero hasn’t broken anything on the stairs.’
The girl raised a brow. ‘You not going to make him a drink?’
‘He can make his own drink, he’s a big boy.’
As he left the room he caught a flash of blonde and two toned green and black. He positioned the camera to catch the top of their heads as he left the room and his heart caught in his throat as the blonde head turned to reveal a scowling face just at the right moment.
I see you ;)
--
‘What the heckie?’
Bakugou looked up from his place at the fridge when the question is shot at him from Uraraka. She’s stood next to Ashido and Midoriya who are busy getting their drinks ready, though they keep glancing over their shoulders to watch.
‘What?’ he pulled the tomato juice and bottle of tabasco sauce out.
‘Kirishima was just here. Didn’t you see him? Why haven’t you gone to say hello?’
‘You’re such a nosy little…’ he groaned. ‘What does it matter? I said hello.’
‘I mean face to face, not over pictures.’
He scowled and began to pour his drink. ‘I don’t want to.’
‘You’re so hopeless! You’re telling me you, the Bakugou Katsuki, the single most anti-social man I know, has come to one of the most crowded parties of the year to, what? Drink tomato juice and watch from afar?’
Yes. It kind of was. But he wasn’t about to say that out loud.
‘She’s got a point, Katsuki,’ Ashido provided. ‘I kinda expected you to go get the dick.’
‘First of all, fuck you both,’ he snapped. ‘Second, I can do whatever the fuck I want. I want to sit here and drink all this fucking tomato juice and then leave.’
‘Are you…?’ her eyes narrowed as she leant in far too close to his face. ‘Are you shy?’
‘Fuck you.’
‘You are!’
‘Get out my fucking face before I tear yours off and feed it to your dumb cat.’
‘I don’t have a cat.’
‘Do I look like I give a shit?’
Midoriya cleared his throat. The two looked towards him. ‘Uh, Uraraka, maybe it’s best to let it happen in his own time?’
‘You’ve known him long enough. Has he ever had a boyfriend before? Or even a girlfriend?’
‘This really isn’t my place-?!’
‘Deku you piece of shit go find your damn weird little crush.’
The curly haired boy stilled and raised a brow.
‘Shit. Fuck. Don’t.’
‘I don’t think he has, no.’
Bakugou pinched the bridge of his nose. Why couldn’t he just shut his god damn mouth for one god damn second.
‘Hey! Is this-mmmphf?!’
The four turned round to see a tall lanky dark haired man struggling as a redhead covered his mouth and muttered furiously into his ear, forcing him to lean down at an awkward angle.
Bakugou felt his heart stop. His stomach danced. He could feel blood pulsing in his ears as he took in the actual physical being stood opposite him that so far he’d only seen in photos.
‘Oh-uh-hey, I-uh-I didn’t see you there!’ it occurred that this was the first time he was hearing the other’s voice. It was weird. Didn’t quite match what he was imagining. Not that he imagined anything. Not that it was bad. ‘You-uh-you found everything then?’
Shit what the fuck who the fuck when the fuck he needed assistance how the fuck did words happen? ‘Yeah.’
‘Good. Glad to hear it,’ the redhead let go of his friend and spun on his heel. ‘See you later!’
Bakugou let out a breath he didn’t realise he had been holding. Thank fuck for-?!
‘What just happened?’
‘Oh my goodness this is too cute to be real.’
‘Kacchan are you-?!’
‘Why didn’t you say something?! Oh my goodness are all boys this dense?!’
‘Like seriously I may actually vomit in my mouth.’
‘You are so frustrating, do you know that? What am I supposed to do with you?!’
Bakugou grasped hold of the Midoriya’s hoody and dragged him and his drink away from the girls decided resolutely in his mind that he wasn't going to speak to them for the rest of the night if he could help it. ‘Come on. Where’s half-n-half?’
--
Kirishima managed to avoid the girls for the rest of the night. He also managed to avoid Bakugou, and Kaminari, and most people, given that he’d disappeared into his room with a bottle of rum and refused to come out even when Sero tried to coax him. He’d made enough of an embarrassment of himself for the night.
I’m leaving. Where are you?
It was a very blurred picture of the flat door from the inside. He groaned and debated what to respond with. Even if he would. Perhaps it would be better to leave it.
He didn’t. He poked his head out the door and took a quick photo of the stairs that lead down to the common area, overlaying it with the text up in my room. U had fun?
The next five minutes made the whole evening worth it.
He retreated back into the room only to have the door open and the lights turn off. He stood up quickly but before he had chance to react there was the bright light of a phone’s flash light in his face from the door blinding him to what was around. He squinted into it and raised a hand to try block damage to his retinas.
It disappeared and was replaced by warm breath ghosting across his face.
‘Don’t speak.’
The tone was low, gruff. What he expected. It would suit the scowl if he could see it.
He didn’t speak. He didn’t have much opportunity to. The breath was sealed at his lips, catching him in a tipsy moment of surprise. If it wasn't for the hand that grasped hold of his biceps he imagined he would've fallen over, but it was the stability he needed to stay upright.
A tongue flickered across his lips. He met it full force.
Wet tongue met wet spice, a sharp taste and the mixture of rum and vodka and something that he imagined was the lulled tabasco sauce of a cocktail. He found a newfound respect and urge for the drink that the other man had been having presumably all night long given how strong it was on his breath and tongue.
He could smell the stench of the party. A mixture of alcohol, smoke, and a musky scent that left him reeling and positively hungry. His hands raised to grasp out in the darkness for something, anything, and landed on belt loops and jeans.
It was just what he needed to bring their bodies flush against each other.
That was the moment the other decided to take a step back. His eyes flickered open and adjusted quickly to the dark room, seeing the outline of sharp features and spine tingling passionate eyes.
The door closed and he had to take a moment before he sat back down on his bed in the dark to try recover his breath. He could still taste the hot spice on his tongue.
--
Bakugou didn’t quite register what he’d done until the next day. In his blind panic he told Midoriya when the boy came to check on him and the ‘loud death like sounds’ that were coming from his room. In hindsight if he hadn’t been in such a sensitive state he would’ve never, ever mentioned anything to the green haired dickmunch.
‘That’s actually really forward of you. I’m impressed.’
‘I turned the lights off. I couldn’t even look him in the fucking face.’
‘But it’s a big step forward,’ there was that happy-go-lucky cinnamon smile he hated so much. ‘Well done, Kacchan!’
‘I want to die. Or kill someone.’
His phone flashed. The pair paused. He looked towards his childhood companion, who took the message and picked up the phone before unlocking it with ease. Midoriya held it at an angle they could both see it before he opened the app and read the list of contacts.
Right at the top read Red Riot. Midoriya looked towards him as they both sat next to each other on the bed, waiting for permission. He always was too polite for his own good.
Bakugou leant forward and pressed the button.
The image that took over his screen was seven seconds long, and it wasn’t near long enough. The sun was almost blinding in the photo as red took over everything he could see. Red hair, red eyes, red shorts, and a white basketball shirt that showed off the toned arms, one of which was dragging the damp shirt half way up his torso to show a well built stomach beneath.
There were the sharp teeth that promised a dangerous smile. Bakugou nearly missed it with his eyes too busy focusing on the expanse of skin on show from the high angle down that showed off the built man down to his feet.
I’m too hungover for this shit.
Midoriya thrust the phone into his hands and refused to look at his face. ‘Kacchan, I’m only going to say this once. You’re an attractive, if a bit explosive, young man, and you’ve never backed down from a challenge in all the time I’ve known you. This may be a little…weird and different, and I know that you’re not the best with people-that many of the kids who used to follow you around were just looking to get something, but…’ he gave a solid pat on the shoulder. ‘I believe in you. You can do this.’
Bakugou stared dumbly. He felt like something had been knocked out of alignment in his brain.
‘Also, if you hold on his name there, you can replay a snap-you can save them too but whatever happens he’ll get told when you do. Unless you use a hack.’
‘Get out.’
‘On it!’ Midoriya was a little too quick to get to the door. ‘Enjoy, Kacchan!’
He glowered at the door as the man left the room. With a heavy sigh he flopped back on his bed and turned his frustration to the app still open on his phone. He double tapped the name, pointedly ignoring the words that Midoriya had left him with, and prepared himself to take a photo of the wardrobe opposite where he lay.
He hesitated. Perhaps…
His had definitely was not shaking when he tapped the camera swap button, and he was definitely not purposefully angling the phone to include the light fracture that the crack in his screen gave. It was just a happy coincidence which ended with his face being a little blurry, though the rest of his body was in plain view, trying to match the one he'd received.
He took the photo three times before he decided that it wasn’t possible to get a picture he was happy with and positioned the text to cover as much of his blurred face as he could.
Why the fuck are you out of bed then?
The snap registered as played. Then it registered as replayed and saved.
There was a swelling in his stomach that felt suspiciously like pride.
--
The Snapchats he received began to include more of Bakugou’s face and body, something that Kirishima thanked the heavens for. He never brought up the kiss and Bakugou didn’t either. He took that as a sign that maybe it was something they weren’t going to talk about, end of.
They didn’t talk about it the second time that it happened either, five days later when Kaminari threw a surprise party that grew very quickly into a full event. He received a Snapchat at about half ten saying that the blonde was leaving and asking where he was, to which Kirishima excused himself from the circle of friends he was sat in and sent out a quick blurred photo with I’ll be in my room.
He didn’t talk to Bakugou about it, but ten minutes after the blonde left without speaking a word, Kirishima found himself trapped by a pink haired monster.
‘I saw that.’
‘Huh?’ Kirishima raised a brow. ‘Saw what?’
‘I saw Bakugou coming out of your room before he left. And then you came out five minutes later.’
He felt his cheeks heating up. Shit. He’d been caught. ‘Damn. I didn’t plan this far.’
A loud gasp drew the attention of some guests for a few moments. ‘No way. What happened? Have you finally spoken to each other?’
‘Well, err, spoken’s probably not the term I’d use.’
‘Tell me. Everything.’
‘Just-okay but don’t tell him I told you, alright?’
‘I promise. Cross my heart.’
‘And don’t tell Uraraka either.’
‘I wouldn’t dream of it.’
Why was he doing this? ‘It’s really not that big of a deal. It’s just a little kiss. You know. Like a goodbye kiss.’
‘A goodbye kiss to a person you never actually said hello to in the first place.’
‘Yeah pretty much.’
Ashido groaned. ‘Uraraka was right. You two are hopeless. No wonder he’s never had a partner before.’
‘Wait what?’
‘Nothing, it doesn’t matter. Do me a favour and at least exchange numbers or something so you can call him. That’s a step in the right direction. Even if it’s a baby step.’
‘Alright, I will. I promise.’
He made good on it. In the next Snapchat he sent he included his phone number, ‘just in case you ever need it’. When the response was a rushed negative he thought that he would probably never actually get any further than where they were. At least not any time soon.
Two days after the party he was sat in the library studying with Ashido when his phone started to buzz. He flipped the cover open and frowned when he saw a number he didn’t recognise, answering out of politeness more than anything.
‘Hello?’
‘Meet me in the bathroom in five minutes.’
He recognised the gruff tone instantly. He hadn’t heard it that many times but the few times he had heard it had it ingrained in his memory forever. The line went dead and he stared dumbly across the table at the girl.
‘Who was that?’
‘Cold call, I guess,’ he put the phone back on the table and counted to exactly 60 seconds before he stretched high and grasped hold of his phone to shove it in his pockets. ‘Man I really need to take a whizz. I’ll be back in a sec.’
‘Don’t lie to me, Eijirou, I saw him staring at you from across the room like ten minutes ago.’
Well. That plan was out the window.
‘Thanks for giving him your phone number, even if the conversation lasted a total of half a second.’
‘Hey, technically I said hello this time, so you can’t fault me for that!’ he responded to her glare with a wide grin. ‘I’ll be back in like five minutes or something, mind my stuff, yeah?’
‘You are lucky, boy. I hope you know that. You owe me ice cream.’
He murmured an affirmative before he-shit he tripped-made his way to the little boys room as calm and collected as he possibly could. Which really wasn't very at all.
It was deserted apart from one blonde who rested against the door of one of the stalls.
'It hasn't been five minutes yet. You just that eager to see me?'
Bakugou levelled a glare his way. 'Shut the fuck up, hair-for-brains.'
He winked and sauntered into the stall with confidence that had the blonde taking a couple steps back. It gave him just the right amount of space to shut the door and lock it.
The blonde was on him in an instant, and this time he was ready. It was a force and desperation that lead to teeth clacking due to his smile and Bakugou's snarl. He should probably be worried that he found it kind of hot.
His hands found a perfectly moulded ass, giving a sharp tug and grinding their groins together.
'I can fucking hear you think,' Bakugou growled low. 'Do you ever shut up?'
'Make me.'
The challenge was accepted, and the result was biting that he just knew was going to leave marks all the way along his collar bone, but he wasn't sure he really cared. Each time they clashed it felt more powerful, more dangerous, just more and he didn't quite know what to do with it all. His brain swirled and his hands sought out private areas and the skin underneath the black t-shirt in a way that he would almost be embarrassed about, if not for the fact that the blonde gave as good as he got.
Kirishima felt his lip practically bruise on the last bite before the blonde pulled back and all but kicked him out the stall. He swore he caught an embarrassed flush.
When he caught a glance at himself in the mirror he realised he was just as bad. Definitely marks.
Ashido took one look at his smug face and decided any teasing would only boost his inflated ego.
--
Why is there that weird light on your snaps?
There’s a crack in the screen.
I’m honestly not surprised.
Fuck you.
You should probably get it fixed.
Why
Because I’d like a HD photo of you ;)
You can fucking want.
Bakugou growled low as he received his reply. He was trying to sleep and enjoy a lie-in. Or something. Definitely not just lying there in his slob trousers on his bed for no reason.
The next photo was of Kirishima walking past his flat with a wide smile, pointing behind him at the building. It u.
His scowl deepened as he flipped the front facing camera on and glared at the camera as he raised his phone to take the snap and most certainly didn't hide half his face in his pillow. He could see his feet, the curved lower half of his bare back, and the dumb chequered slob pants he wore. He honestly didn’t care. If Kirishima said shit about his slob pants he’d punch the bloke through the phone.
Yeah, it me. And I’m trying to relax.
He began to think that maybe he should’ve cared whether or not Kirishima saw his slob pants when it took an unusual amount of time for the redhead to respond. His brain came to a grinding halt as he got the familiar notification of his snap being saved.
He sprung into a sitting position and began to furiously type as he took a series of snaps of his bedsheets.
WHAT THE FUCK
DON’T SAVE THAT SHIT
DELETE IT NOW.
I’M WARNING YOU.
SHITTY HAIR.
He didn’t stop till his phone switched from the app to the phone call he was receiving, the contact flashing on the screen. His thumb automatically hovered above the decline button.
He brought the phone to his ear and barked out: ‘What?!’
‘You’re really hot, you know that?’
‘What the actual fuck?! Who just fucking says that you weird-ass shitbag?!’
There was a chuckle down the phone. ‘Sorry, sorry. It’s true though. You are.’
He crawled off his bed and moved to the window, peaking through the curtain. He saw the redhead instantly. And the red eyes caught him before he managed to duck out the way.
‘I can see you, you know.’
‘Yeah I’m fucking aware,’ he braved looking down again. ‘What do you want?’
There was a pause. He was still holding the phone up. ‘I was wondering if you needed help relaxing?’
Bakugou smirked and relaxed against the window frame. ‘How could you help me relax? You, the big ball of fucking energy that you are.’
‘I can think of a few ways.’
It was the tone of his voice that caught the blonde’s attention. He took a moment to weigh his options, feeling his body already starting to react to the implications in the offer.
‘Or, you know, I’ll leave you to it and-?!’
‘Wait.’
Bakugou left his spot and grabbed his keys from the bedside table. He returned and opened the window as far as he could before he tossed the keys down to the floor below. Kirishima rushed forward to pick them up.
‘You know the rules. Don’t speak. Don’t get caught.’
‘Roger that, Captain Blasty,’ Kirishima’s voice was cheerful through the phone before he hung up and headed towards the door. Bakugou glanced around the room to try and figure out if there was anything he needed to do. It was kept relatively clean, he probably needed to hide that All Might figurine in the wardrobe, but he didn’t have time to stow his extensive comic book collection anywhere-damnit he needed to start thinking things through before he did them.
The door to his room opened and Kirishima was standing there, wearing his usual running gear. He dropped the keys on the closest counter and rushed forward to meet Bakugou half way.
Having less of a rush to leave, and a comfortable bed to enjoy, lead to more than just a kiss on the lips that time. It certainly did relax him. That he couldn't complain about.

He started to text out words across the photo of his coffee cup before scowling and deleting the message. This was frustrating. And difficult. When did it become so difficult?
‘Okay so let me get this straight…’
Kirishima groaned and looked up at Sero from over his phone. ‘Yeah?’
‘You’re on your forty day streak on Snapchat because, I dunno, you constantly send dick picks or whatever.’
‘I have never-!’
‘Excuse me, I’m not finished speaking.’
He grumbled an apology.
‘So you talk over Snapchat, basically, and you’ve been to-what, five parties? But not actually spend actual time together at these parties?’
He nodded confirmation.
‘And you also sucked his dick that one time.’
‘Why do all my friends have such a fascination with-?!’
‘Excuse me! Speaking!’
He huffed and glared.
‘But you did. That’s actually true, yeah?’
He definitely wasn’t blushing. ‘Yeah. That’s actually true.’
‘Right, so shut that mouth. You’ve never been on a date though?’
He shook his head.
‘Yet you’d consider yourself taken?’
‘I hadn’t really thought about it.’
Sero raised a finger to challenge him. ‘If some hot guy came over here right now and asked you on a date, would you say yes?’
No. No he wouldn’t.
‘Mate I think you need to ask this dude out.’
‘That’s weird.’
‘Why is that weird?’
‘Because…’ he flailed. ‘Because it is! Besides, if he wanted it to be anything more he would’ve said. I don’t wanna force it.’
‘Aha!’ a grin spread across the dark haired boy’s face. ‘But what if he’s thinking the exact same thing?’
‘What?’
‘What if he hasn’t said anything because he thinks you’re going to be the first person to say it?’
Kirishima glared. He hated logic. Fuck Sero.
‘I know. I’m the best. You’re welcome.’
‘Look he’s not going to say yes I can feel it in my gut.’
‘I bet you one mega box of donuts that he’d say yes.’
‘He won’t!’
‘You’re wrong, but that’s fine.’
‘You know what?!’ Kirishima began tapping out on the screen. ‘Fine. I’ll take that bet. Prepare to buy me a box of mega donuts you ass!’
Sero hummed. ‘I think you’ll find you’re gonna be buying, Kirishima.’
Hey u wanna go on a date or summit?
He pressed send. He instantly regretted it.
‘No Sero what have you done why did I agree to that how can you play with my feelings like this?’
‘Calm down, it’ll be fine. Trust me.’
‘I trust no one. I trust-!’ he nearly let out a shriek as the box turned red to indicate a reply. ‘Oh my goodness he replied.’
Sero peered over his shoulder. ‘Go on then. Prove me wrong, hot shot.’
He clicked.
The photo was simple. An image of a crowded lecture theatre, four seconds long, with a single word written across the screen.
Sure
‘He said yes.’
Sero leant back into his seat again. ‘You’re welcome. I’ll accept my donuts any time. Preferably within the week.
‘Holy shit what do I do?!’

Uraraka’s glare wasn’t something that the flat saw often. She was too positive, too happy-go-lucky, too Uraraka to glare. Yet here she was, blocking the exit, with Midoriya and Ashido poking their heads out the door to the common room as Bakugou growled low in his throat.
‘Get out the way.’
‘No.’
‘Why?’
She jabbed a finger at his chest. ‘I am not letting you go on your first date dressed like that.’
‘What?! What’s fucking wrong with-?!’
‘You wear that Sum41 shirt literally every other day. I am certain you actually own two. I hope you do, else you need to prioritise your personal hygiene better.’
He didn’t have two of the same shirt, but that was a brilliant idea and he really needed to get on it.
‘Let me dress you.’
‘Fuck. No.’
She groaned and punched at his chest. ‘Please! I’m begging you! You won’t regret it!’
‘I look fine.’
‘You really don’t! You look like a mess. Don’t you want to make a good impression?!’
Midoriya took that moment to have his two cents. ‘It’s a bit late for that, Uraraka.’
‘Shut the fuck up Deku no one asked you.’
'Alrighty then.'
‘Bakugou, please. This one thing. And then I’ll be out of your hair and I’ll bring you coffee every day for a week.’
He let out a sigh through his teeth as he ground out his words. ‘Fine. Beck and call.’
A wide grin split her face and she grabbed his hand to pull him back up the stairs where his room was. ‘I promise! You won’t regret it!’
Fifteen minutes later saw him running out the building with his phone out as he took a sloppy photo of himself to Snapchat across to Kirishima with a caption reading I’m late. Blame Uraraka. He had wanted to at least attempt to be on time. If he was going to do this he was going to do it right.
When he finally reached the cinema he had a Snapchat waiting of Kirishima stood outside the building with a blinding smile and a confirmation that he didn’t mind waiting a bit.
Bakugou remembered the photo before he looked around to spot the redhead. It wasn’t difficult. Flaming red with a hooded green jacket and black jeans with tears in the knees. He took a picture and sent it across.
Found you.
Kirishima’s head looked up from his phone and he grinned wide as he slipped it into his jacket pocket. Bakugou sucked in a large breath before he stowed away his own phone and made a mental promise to himself that he would definitely not get it out for the rest of the day.
Today he was going to stop hiding behind his camera, or in the dark, or behind his pillow.

Why are we here?
It’s friendship time!
But I hate everyone here.
No you don’t, don’t lie to me.
‘Hang on a second,’ Ashido’s finger flicked between the redhead and the blonde sprawled across the couch with his head in Kirishima’s lap. ‘Are you two Snapchatting each other?!’
Bakugou scowled at her before he pointed the camera in her direction and snapped a photo.
Alien. Look at her. Fucking alien.
Kirishima chuckled as he opened the image, but decided it was probably best to address the question before he replied. ‘Definitely not. Wouldn’t dream of it.’
Lying. Be ashamed of yourself. Fuckin a-hole.
He tried to concentrate and not laugh. Ashido continued to glare.
‘I wish I’d never shown you how to use Snapchat, Katsuki. You’re obsessed.’
Tell her I don’t talk to extra-terrestrials.
‘Uh, he said he doesn’t talk to aliens. Thank you.’
Ashido fumed. ‘Yeah?! Well this alien is gonna kick your ass in a minute!’
Bakugou blew a raspberry at her.
Uraraka giggled. ‘I don’t think I’ve ever seen him so subdued, Kirishima. Congratulations. You tamed the beast.’
‘I will end you, Angel Face.’
‘Not a single swear. My boy’s grown so much.’
‘Fucking shit damn cunt shitty fuck.’
‘Don’t talk about your boyfriend like that. It’s rude.’
Bakugou’s face began to darken to a red as he spun round to be on his side with his back to the girl, face looking at Kirishima’s stomach. ‘Bitch.’
The woman gasped dramatically. ‘Was that a silent confirmation that you’re finally boyfriends?!’
Kirishima’s eyes snapped up and he found himself completely unable to look down at the blonde. It wasn’t an actual conversation they’d had yet, but he wasn’t about to deny it. He certainly wasn’t about to confirm it either and be wrong.
Bakugou was silent. He didn’t dare look to see what expression he held.
‘Oh no that’s cute.’
‘Fuck off I swear to fuck come on Shitty Hair I’m so done here fuck these guys,’ he was on his feet and heading to the door. ‘I have better things to do with my time.’
‘Like Kirishima?’
He held up his middle finger and slammed the door.
The rest of the room turned their eyes to the redhead still sat on the couch.
He gave a nervous laugh before standing and racing out the room. ‘Later!’
Ashido pouted as she folded her hands across her chest and addressed the room. ‘They’re so hopeless, you were right. It’s embarrassing to watch them.’
‘It is strange territory for Kacchan. Give him time.’
‘It’s been two months since I first game him Kirishima’s number, you know that, right?’
She jumped as she had a buzz in her pocket. Pulling it out she saw the messenger icon flashing up with Bakugou’s name, opening it and gasping at the image there.
‘That bastard!’
Bakugou’s smirk looked up at the camera, and she could see the pillow case he was lying on was the familiar pink leopard print of her own. In the corner of the screen she could see down his chest where a mess of spiky red hair was, a bump in the shirt that look suspiciously like the shape of someone’s hand. She could only just make out the darkening bruise of a hickey on his collar. Or maybe she was imaging it.
The text that followed said it all: don’t leave your room unlocked, Alien Face.
