Chapter 1: Frieza Saga
Chapter Text
While gathering parts for the journey to Namek, Bulma Briefs stumbles upon a little boy with a tail. Noticing the boy’s Saiyan traits she takes the young boy to Kame House for training with the intent of bringing him to Namek. The little boy is revealed to be 5-year-old Harry Potter.
Using Nappa’s repaired scouter, she discovers that Harry’s power level is 5,000. While the ship is being built, Chi Chi teaches Harry basic Martial Arts, while Krillen gives him the rundown on basic Ki control. The ship, big enough to hold four comfortably, contains a small gravity chamber for training purposes.
With the ship completed, the four journey to Namek, stopping once in a while to preserve fuel and test Harry and Gohan’s skill. Under Krillen’s tutelage, Harry learns the Taiyoken, Kamehameha, and Kienzan. From Gohan, Harry learns the Masenko.
Upon their arrival on Namek, Gohan, Krillin, and Harry each grew to a power level of 15,000. Harry, being the least experienced stays with Bulma while Gohan and Krillin go out to look for the Dragon Balls only having a minor scuffle with members of the Frieza Force.
After a short time, Harry, Krillin, and Gohan are taken to the Namekian Grand Elder Guru to have their potential unlocked, making them each stronger than Vegeta when he left Earth. The three of them team up with Vegeta to fight the Ginyu Force. Harry and Gohan fight and defeat Guldo, boosting their power further. The group has trouble with Recoome, but with Vegeta’s help, they’re able to defeat him just in time for Goku to arrive.
Goku defeats Burter and Jeice, who are both killed by Vegeta. Vegeta, angered by Goku’s increased power, attacks the other Saiyan. Distracted by the fight, Captain Ginyu attacks Gohan, Krillin, and Harry nearly killing them before being obliterated by Vegeta who had soundly trounced Goku.
The group each take a Senzu bean while placing Goku in the healing pod while Vegeta catches a nap. With Vegeta occupied by sleep, Gohan, Dende, Harry, and Krillin gather the Dragon Balls and resurrect Piccolo and Tien and then bring them to Namek.
Frieza arrives and fights Vegeta and, upon realizing the Saiyan was stronger than he realized, transforms to his second form. Tien and Piccolo, with Nail as part of him, arrive and fight Frieza with Tien blasting Frieza into the ground over and over with the Ki Ko Ho before he’s shot in the chest by Frieza’s Death Beam, severely injuring him. Vegeta tries to flee.
As Piccolo and Frieza battle, Dende heals Tien, Harry, Gohan, and Krillen. Piccolo is injured and Harry and Gohan fly in to rescue him. Harry is able to hold his own against Frieza until the tyrant transforms into his 3rd form. The intergalactic emperor catches Harry by the throat and snaps his neck.
Harry wakes up in the Other World and is sent to train with King Kai. While on the Kai’s world, Harry meets his mother and father and learns that the Potter family originated on the Saiyan homeworld. An ancient Saiyan warrior named Pottah (Potatoe) crashlanded on Earth and, finding his ship unsalvageable, settles in what would become Godric’s Hollow and starts a family.
Training under King Kai and his parents, Harry learns a few spells (Wingardium Leviosa, Lumos, Expecto Patronum, Protego, and Accio) along with the Kaio-ken Technique. After Goku kills Frieza, Harry stays for another year at King Kai’s for further training and time with his parents.
Chapter 2: Androids Saga
Chapter Text
After a year and a half of training with King Kai, Harry is given his life back and sent to Earth. He arrives at Capsule Corps, to Bulma’s joy, and is immediately dragged to the gravity room by Vegeta, who insists on seeing how strong the boy has become.
Shortly after his return, Harry, along with his friends, sense a powerful energy source approaching the planet. An energy that is very familiar… Thinking that somehow Frieza survived his fight with Goku, the Z Fighters fly to the location they think Frieza will land. They are shocked to find Frieza’s father and brother, King Cold and Cooler, along with Cooler’s Armoured Squadron, Salza, Dore, and Neiz, seeking revenge for Frieza’s death. Harry, Vegeta, and Gohan charge in along with the stronger Z Fighters (Piccolo, Tien, and Krillin) to fight.
When King Cold’s forces and Cooler’s Armoured Squadron are defeated, the two invaders attempt to fight back, only to be blasted by an unknown form, a golden haired young man wielding a sword with an incredible energy. Cooler attempts to kill him with a Death Ball, but the man is able to deflect it and before dicing and obliterating him with a Ki blast.
Cold tries to fight off the man but is soon killed as well. The young man reveals himself to be a friend looking for Goku, calling himself Trunks. He offers them drinks and snacks while they wait. Goku arrives and the young man warns them about a future threat: two cyborgs, more powerful than Frieza, who kill each of the Z Fighters, except for Goku and Harry.
Goku is killed by a heart virus before the cyborgs arrive. Trunks then admits that he had never met or even heard of Harry.
Trunks gives Goku the cure for his heart virus and returns to the future soon after. Over the next three years, the Z Fighters train in preparation for the cyborgs arrival.
Over the three years, Harry trains with Vegeta, learning the Gallick Gun, and the Power Ball techniques. With Harry using the Kaio-ken, Vegeta is able to train harder and longer and finally achieves Super Saiyan. With Lily and James, blessing Bulma adopts Harry.
Then, on May 12th, 9 miles West of South City, the Z Fighters meet up to face the Cyborg threat. Yamcha is seriously injured by one of them and is taken back to Kame house to rest. The threat is revealed to be Doctor Gero of the Red Ribbon Army who over the years had fashioned himself a mechanical body. He and the later named Android 19 have the goal of killing Goku and taking over the world, while replacing the Earth’s population with androids.
Goku fights Android 19, but suffers a mild heart attack caused by the heart virus adapting to the cure. Yamcha takes Goku to Mount Paozu for treatment. Android 19 is destroyed by Vegeta. With the Z Fighters distracted, Gero escapes to his hidden laboratory.
The Z Fighters give chase and discover the lab. They bust in just in time to see Gero getting impaled through the chest and decapitated by one of two new figures, a blonde young woman and a black haired young man. The two introduce themselves as Cyborgs 17 and 18 before activating another pod. Contained within is another Android, 16.
After a short skirmish with the Cyborgs resulting in Vegeta having his arms broken and Trunks’s sword getting shattered, the cyborgs and Android 16 fly off to find/kill Goku. Aggravated with the situation, Piccolo flies to Kami’s lookout to try and convince him to fuse. Meanwhile, Harry, Bulma, Yajirobe, and Gohan return to Capsule Corps where they are met with an unfamiliar face.
Chapter 3: Imperfect Cell Saga
Chapter Text
When Harry arrives at Capsule Corps with Bulma, Gohan, and Yajirobe, he meets Albus Dumbledore, who is shocked to learn that not only does the boy know about his magical nature, but he has also died, met his parents, and come back. Dumbledore is informed of the cyborg threat and decides to teach Harry more defensive magic, while also learning basic martial arts himself from Harry.
While Harry looks after baby Trunks, Bulma gets a phone call concerning a Capsule Corps machine that a form around Ginger Town discovered. After handing the baby off to Bulma’s mother, he and Bulma fly off to investigate with Trunks and Gohan. While examining what appears to be Trunks’s time machine, Harry senses a familiar energy in Ginger Town and heads there, promising Bulma that he would be alright, as Piccolo was also heading that way.
Harry meets up with Piccolo, now fused with Kami, and they investigate the strangely empty, apart from the clothes of its inhabitants, town. During their search they discover a strange, insect-like creature dragging one of the few Gingerites left. Just as they ask what the creature is and why it did what it did, it stabs the man and drains him of his bio matter. After explaining exactly what it’s been doing, the creature attacks them, using techniques that both Harry and Piccolo are very familiar with. After blasting the creature into the side of a building, they convince it to explain what it is and what it wants.
The creature introduces itself as Cell, explaining that it is an amalgamation of DNA from several fighters, created by Dr. Gero to be the ultimate life form. Cell further explains that it is from an alternate timeline where, once again, Harry was never a Saiyan and never joined the Z Fighters, though Cell had met and absorbed Harry into his biomass, along with the remainder of the Wizarding World, before blasting him with the Cruciatus Curse.
As Piccolo checks on Harry, Trunks and Krillin arrive, and Cell distracts them using a Taiyo-ken and flies off. After a short, Senzu enhanced, recovery period, Harry goes to Kame house to check on Goku, and finds him up, active, and ready to fight. Goku takes Harry to pick up Gohan via Instant Translocation and the three of them go to where Vegeta and Trunks are.
Goku informs the four Saiyans of a way for them all to get in a year’s worth of training in one day. He then takes the four of them, again using Instant Translocation, to Kami’s Lookout, so they can use the Room of Spirit and Time. Vegeta and Trunks go in first, with Harry getting dragged along, despite Mr. Popo’s protests. Over the next year/day, Harry undergoes brutal training with Trunks and his father, just reaching Super Saiyan but not really able to keep the form going for longer than a couple of minutes. He also trains in his Oozaru form under Vegeta’s tutelage. With, Trunks, Harry learns more advanced martial arts techniques.
24 hrs/365 days later, Harry, Vegeta, and Trunks exit the Time Chamber, several times stronger and closer in bond. Bulma gives them new combat gear, Harry’s having an armoured section for his tail, and they fly off to fight Cell, who had attained his semi-perfect form the previous day.
Chapter 4: Perfect Cell Saga
Chapter Text
Now out of the Room of Spirit and Time, Vegeta, Harry, and Trunks fly off to face Cell. They find him blowing up islands in his search of 18, having attained his Semi-Perfect form after absorbing 17. Cell, unaware of their intensive training in the Room of Spirit and Time, is unimpressed by the arrival of Vegeta and Trunks, believing that they will not present much of a challenge. Vegeta proudly proclaims that he is now the strongest warrior in the universe, and exhibits his new strength by transforming into a Super Saiyan Second Grade. Cell is still not impressed, as he believes that he is superior to Vegeta no matter what transformation he goes through. He soon learns that he is no match for the Saiyan Prince.
The battle begins with the newly ascended Vegeta commanding complete control of the upper hand. Whatever attacks Cell throws at him, Vegeta counters them all, dominating in both strength and speed.
While Vegeta battles Cell, Krillin arrives on the island with the remote control that Bulma gave him and soon locates the Cyborgs. Even though he knows the importance of carrying out his mission to destroy 18, he hides behind a mountain, conflicted. Ever since 18 kissed Krillin on the mountainside road, he has developed strong feelings of affection for her and struggles internally against causing her any harm. Much to 18’s surprise, Krillin smashes the remote.
After dominating in battle, the ascended Vegeta has clearly proven himself superior to Cell. Vegeta then tells Cell that he has no chance of winning because even if by some miracle Cell managed to defeat him, Trunks or Harry would have finished him off. For the first time, Vegeta vocally acknowledges Trunks as his son, claiming that although he is not as strong as Vegeta, it would be difficult to tell them apart because of Trunks’ incredible fighting power.
At this point, Vegeta expresses his disappointment that Cell did not present enough of a challenge for Vegeta to test his new strength against. Cell, now more desperate than ever to absorb 18, conjures a plan to reach perfection. Because he is made up of the cells of Vegeta, he knows that Vegeta’s greatest weakness is his pride. Cell then uses that weakness to manipulate Vegeta.
Cell tells him that if he had the chance to reach his perfect form he would become a worthy adversary, and he claims that Vegeta would be no match for him. Vegeta, who hungers for a challenge and any chance to prove that he is the best, falls for Cell’s trap. He steps back from battle, allowing Cell an open opportunity to absorb 18 so that he will become a worthy opponent.
However, Trunks and Harry know that their father is blinded by his pride; If Cell reaches his perfect form, his power will greatly surpass Vegeta’s, although Vegeta does not believe it is possible. Cell soon finds 18 and 16 on the island, but Trunks blocks his path, stopping him before he can act. This angers Vegeta, who is eager to prove himself against Cell’s Perfect form. Vegeta then steps in and attacks Trunks, hindering his efforts to stop Cell.
Trunks, however, is determined to stop Cell from transforming at all costs, even if it means standing up to Vegeta. Harry steps in to keep Vegeta occupied while Trunks keeps Cell away from 18. Vegeta laughs at Harry, claiming that he does not have the guts to challenge him because he is weakened by his feelings. Harry then proves him wrong, activating his Kaio-ken x20 so he can keep up with Vegeta’s Super Saiyan. The two fight, with Harry using some prank based magic on his adoptive father so he can avoid actually hurting him.
With Vegeta temporarily out of the way, Trunks, Krillin, and Android 16 work to keep Cell away from 18 in an all-out attack. However, Cell eventually uses Solar Flare, blinding everyone so that he can absorb 18 at long last. To prevent any interference, Cell creates a powerful barrier around himself as he transforms.
Cell, now in Perfect form, punches and kicks the air to test his new speed, Krillin attacks him, but is ultimately ineffective. Cell bats him out of the way, knocking him unconcious. Trunks gives him a Senzu Bean, and Krillin tells him that he has never felt such strength and power before. Krillin also tells Trunks that he can sense the massive power that Trunks is holding back, and he asks why he has not unleashed that power to put a stop to Cell. Trunks then recalls his training in the Time Chamber, stating that at one point, Vegeta reached a plateau, and Trunks was able to surpass him.
Trunks does not want his father to know that he surpassed him because he fears that Vegeta would then hate him because of it. Even though Trunks has worked hard to gain his father’s approval, he knows that Vegeta would rather lose than to accept someone’s help because of his extreme pride. Therefore, Trunks refuses to step in and reveal his true power until the moment Vegeta loses consciousness.
Cell then resumes his fight with an unimpressed Vegeta. Cell toys with Vegeta, allowing Vegeta to believe he actually has a chance to win, just as Vegeta did to Semi-Perfect Cell. Cell hides his true power and appears to have only gained speed by dodging all of Vegeta’s attacks. Vegeta becomes frustrated, which affects his fighting for the worse, as he is too blinded by anger to fully concentrate.
At one point, Vegeta charges at Cell and kicks him in the neck. This does not faze Cell at all, which utterly shocks Vegeta as he reveals that he put all of his energy into the kick. With only one kick, Cell sends Vegeta flying across the island, through several rock formations, and into the water. It takes a moment for Vegeta to resurface and stand back up. While he is down, Cell laughs at his apparent weakness, and thanks Vegeta for being a good warm-up, as well as allowing Cell to reach perfection, however foolish a mistake it was.
Outraged, Vegeta flies into the sky and challenges Cell to take his next attack head-on. He concentrates nearly every ounce of energy he has left into a blast, and launches it at Cell. Cell senses the massive energy Vegeta put into his Final Flash, attempting to dodge it at the last second but it destroys his right arm. However he regenerates and then, with a short series of attacks, knocks Vegeta unconscious.
After Cell deals his devastating blows to Vegeta, Trunks becomes enraged, and he transforms into a Super Saiyan Second Grade. He then instructs Krillin to take Vegeta away from the battlefield so that he can recover, while Harry helps 16 get to Capsule Corps for repairs. Because he does not want his father to know that he has surpassed his power, Trunks allows Cell to take the upper hand as a distraction and does not fight back in defense until Vegeta is gone.
Cell and Trunks then begin to fight on practically equal terms, as Cell has the advantage of speed, and Trunks has the advantage of strength. Cell then encourages Trunks to demonstrate more of his strength, leading Trunks to transform into a Super Saiyan Third Grade.
Trunks, now thought to be the strongest warrior in the universe, attempts to attack Cell, but Cell easily dodges every blow. This confuses Trunks, as he believed his Super Saiyan Third Grade powers would be enough to defeat Cell. However, Cell eventually finds the flaw in Trunks’ transformation, explaining that although the form grants him superior strength, it heavily incapacitates him in terms of speed. Cell knows that he is faster and taunts Trunks to charge up his strength, even more, knowing that it will only debilitate him further.
Trunks resumes his fight with Cell. Cell decides to exploit Trunks’ weakness. He uses his speed advantage to defeat Trunks who is still wondering why he can not touch Cell. Cell tells him why and explains that he could have increased his own strength if he wanted to. Realizing his foolish mistake, Trunks quits the battle and tells Cell that he can kill him. However, Cell lets him live and is curious about how Trunks, Harry, and Vegeta gained so much power in so little time. This leads him to come up with an idea of having a tournament, the Cell Games, which would occur in ten days.
Chapter 5: Cell Games Saga
Chapter Text
On live TV, Cell announces the Cell Games, which will be held 10 days after his television broadcast. Goku and Gohan emerge from the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, mastering Super Saiyan Full Power. Gohan’s appearance comes as a surprise to the others, especially Piccolo and Chi-Chi, as he now has greater muscle mass and is taller than before (prior to entering the Chamber, Gohan reached Krillin’s shoulders and/or just below Goku’s chest in height. He now reaches Goku’s shoulders).
Professor Dumbledore comes to the Lookout with another man, Severus Snape, to train Harry in more offensive magical techniques. Under Snape’s training, Harry learns Occlumency, Legillimency, and Apparition.
Using Instant Transmission, Goku visits Cell at the tournament platform in order to gain an understanding of his power. He then transmits himself back to The Lookout where the others are waiting. They ask Goku if he thinks he will be able to defeat Cell, and Goku calmly laughs it off, claiming that he does not really know and thinks Cell will probably beat him into the ground.
This comes as a surprise to the others, as they do not understand why Goku is acting so aloof. Piccolo then reminds Goku that he and Gohan can go back into the Hyperbolic Time Chamber for one more day, but Goku refuses the offer. Once again, this comes as a surprise to the others. Goku tells them that he and Gohan will be training outside of the Chamber rather than subject their bodies to any more strain. This agitates Vegeta, who expresses his anger that Goku is always one step ahead of him, and he wonders exactly what secret Goku is hiding.
Harry and Trunks take another day in the Time Chamber, in order to get to know one another better. Together, they develop tag team techniques for potential use against Cell.
For the next 9 days, most of the Z fighters use their time to train, though Harry spends them helping take care of baby Trunks and getting to know Professors Dumbledore or Snape. Dumbledore takes this time to train more with Roshi, spending two days with the man in the Time Chamber. Goku pays a visit to New Namek and asks Dende to become the new Guardian of the Earth. Eager to see Gohan again, Dende accepts the offer and creates a new Shenron, capable of granting three wishes, though this could be reduced to two if one wish took too much effort.
When the tournament commences, Goku decides he would be the first one to fight Cell. However, the World Champion Mr. Satan, along with his students in combat, Caroni and Pirozhki, attempt to fight Cell first, though each of them are easily flicked away and disqualified. First, Caroni attempts to attack Cell from high up, and Cell sent him even higher with his enormous energy. After falling, Caroni was convinced that Cell was tremendously powerful. Pirozhki attempts to rush at Cell head-first, only to be flicked backward by Cell’s simple energy, which seemed too much for Pirozhki to handle. Mr. Satan then attempts to attack Cell with a slew of punches and kicks only to be knocked into the mountains. After this, throughout the entire tournament, Mr. Satan decides to claim he is suffering from intense stomach pains in order to avoid fighting Cell. He also calls the techniques in the ring “tricks” or “illusions”.
Dumbledore steps up next, claiming that defeating Cell should be his responsibility. Cell and Dumbledore fight, with Dumbledore’s magical attacks pitted against Cell’s more ki based blasts. After five minutes, Dumbledore blasts Cell into the ground and is about to resort to the Killing Curse when Cell appears behind him, thrusting his arm through Dumbledore’s chest and stating how impressed he is that a man Dumbledore’s age managed to last this long. Dumbledore crumples to the ground and Goku steps up to avenge the headmaster and all the others that Cell had killed.
Goku and Cell begin to battle and in a heated display of power, technique and ability. To no one’s surprise, Goku seems to be able to keep up against the mechanically engineered monster. Cell pulled out all kinds of tricks, performing various moves such as the Death Beam and the Kamehameha. Goku and Cell battle for a while until Cell grew tired of being confined to the small ring.
So, Cell destroys the ring to the battle an all-out fight, just to make things more interesting for him, with no rules applied. Goku threw everything he could at Cell and even tricked Cell into believing he would destroy the Earth with a Kamehameha. Cell was noticeably afraid as Goku powered up the energy blast, but Goku tricked him by performing Instant Transmission to teleport directly in front of Cell, and unleashed the blast on him.
The entire top half of Cell was disintegrated. The Z Warriors seemed content until the remains of Cell jumped to its feet and regenerated. Goku knew that if he continued the Earth would be destroyed, or Cell and himself would die fighting each other. Goku suddenly forfeited the match to Cell and surrendered. He reasoned that only one person could defeat Cell. When Goku revealed his son Gohan as his pick to fight, the Z Fighters were furious (noticeably Vegeta and Piccolo) and Cell was amused.
Before Gohan and Cell begin to fight, Goku asks Krillin for a Senzu Bean, which he throws to Cell, surprising everyone. Goku explains to the Z Fighters that Cell must be worn out from their fight, so it wouldn’t be fair; Cell gladly eats the Senzu Bean and proceeds with the fight.
It takes awhile for the battle to commence between Gohan and Cell, and even longer for Gohan to get serious. As a Full Power Super Saiyan, he did no better than his father, and the Z Fighters were noticeably worried (except Goku). As the battle continued, Gohan told Cell to stop fighting, as the power he could harness when he becomes enraged would destroy everything. However, this only fueled Cell’s desire to push Gohan to the limit, much to Gohan’s horror.
Finally, Android 16 decides to destroy Cell himself with the self destruct device in his body. He wraps his arms around Cell’s torso with the purpose of killing them both. To Android 16’s surprise, Krillin informs him that the bomb had been removed by Bulma during repairs. Cell then destroys all of Android 16 but his head, which rolls over the battlefield. Cell claims that even if the bomb did blow him up, he would most likely not be affected, despite his fearful look when he found out what Android 16 was intending to do.
Cell then creates 8 smaller blue versions of himself from his tail and christened them Cell Juniors, and orders them to attack the Z Fighters, but not kill them. Each Cell Jr. is close to the power of Cell himself.
Only Vegeta and Trunks in their Super Saiyan Second Grade forms, Harry using Kiao-ken x20, and Piccolo, manage to hold them off for a while, but eventually all of them are brutally beaten down (even Goku, who was weakened from his fight with Cell).
As Gohan watches these maniacal Cell Jr.’s heartlessly beat his friends and family, he becomes enraged, but it still isn’t enough. Cell, noticing Gohan’s anger, orders the Cell Juniors to kill everyone. At this point, Hercule discovers the head of Android 16 which, surprisingly, can still talk. Android 16 pleads with Hercule to take him near Gohan (throw him if he has to), for the sake of the world. Hercule complies despite his fear and the Android’s head lands between Gohan and Cell.
Android 16 gave some advice and words of encouragement to Gohan, saying it was okay to fight sometimes to defend loved ones, and to protect the world he loved. Cell, overhearing this, claimed that this was good advice and promptly crushed Android 16’s head beneath his foot. This was the boiling point when Gohan snapped. This enraged Gohan to his very limits and pushed him to a new level, Super Saiyan 2, the Super Saiyan level ascended beyond a Super Saiyan (although it was not named at this point in the series). Cell was pleased when Gohan reached this form but Gohan’s first action was mercilessly killing off the smaller Cell Juniors, which he defeated in a single hit each. The already astounded Z Warriors, with the exception of Goku, were amazed as Gohan and Cell began to battle, with Gohan dominating the powerful Android.
Even after Cell powered up to maximum (which surprised everyone, who all thought Cell was at full power when he fought Goku) and punched Gohan hard in the face, Gohan was barely fazed at all. With just 2 punches, Gohan almost incapacitated Cell completely. Cell truly learned fear when Gohan began dodging all of his attacks, taunting him, and overpowering even his strongest Kamehameha at point blank range. This almost destroyed Cell, but Gohan decided to let Cell suffer for a while, which made Goku order Gohan to kill Cell. But it was too late. Cell regenerated using Piccolo’s Cells. Making the same mistake Trunks made earlier, he began a transformation that reduced his speed drastically, making him unable to hit Gohan. After Gohan had had enough of dodging Cell’s punches, he kicked Cell in the face and then in the stomach. The kick to the stomach was hard enough to make Cell regurgitate 18, which made him revert to his Semi-Perfect form.
Enraged, Cell threatened to destroy the whole planet and began to self destruct. Goku decided to step in because if he did not, Cell would have killed himself, destroying the planet with him. Goku used the Instant Transmission to reach Cell and then transmitted them both to King Kai’s Planet, which was subsequently destroyed along with Goku, Cell, King Kai, Bubbles, and Gregory. The Z Warriors were in anguish over what had transpired and knew Goku took his life for the rest of the planet. But to their surprise, a strong wind began to blow and a tremendously powerful force came upon them.
Cell was back! A single Death Beam by Cell impaled Trunks and killed him. He came back in his “Perfect” Form due to the fact that his cells stored the memory of his perfect form, and he was exponentially stronger than before because his core remained unharmed, and from it he had regenerated. He had become a lot stronger thanks to the Saiyan cells inside him, which after a near-death experience, increased his power dramatically. This power increase brought Cell up to a form he calls “Ultimate Perfection”.
The previously distraught Gohan was in fact pleased to see Cell had returned, and hoped to avenge his father. Vegeta, seeing his own son get killed by Cell, became stunned, but this soon turned into anger as he went into a berserk rage against Cell. Despite everyone telling him that Trunks could be revived by the Dragon Balls, Vegeta, who went Super Saiyan, attacked Cell mercilessly and attacked him with an array of energy blasts. It was absolutely hopeless, however, as Cell gave one hit to Vegeta that knocked him out and almost killed him. He was about to kill Vegeta off with a ki blast, but Gohan intercepted the blast with his own arm. It became badly damaged, and hung limply at his side. Vegeta, in a rare moment, actually apologized to Gohan. Cell jumped back and prepared for an attack.
Cell fires his Solar Kamehameha at Gohan which is stated by himself to have enough energy to destroy the entire solar system that they reside in. After losing use of one of his arms and seeing how much stronger Cell was now, Gohan seemingly lost all hope of destroying Cell and gave up, until he heard Goku communicating to him from the Other World via King Kai. Goku encouraged Gohan to believe in his power, and with new-found hope, Gohan prepared a one-handed Kamehameha.
The battle between the Kamehameha waves proved intense. As Tien, Piccolo, Vegeta, Krillin, and Yamcha watched, they begun to doubt Gohan’s power. In a heated battle between Gohan and Cell, the Kamehameha wave grew and grew. Even though Cell nearly overtook Gohan several times, Gohan was aided by his father during the battle, who encouraged him and supported him against Cell. With this encouragement, Gohan was finally in the right state of mind to put forth his full power, which seemingly brought the Kamehameha duel to a standstill. Everyone but Vegeta also assisted him, in a four-sided attack. The distraction helped Gohan push his power even further. But it still was not enough. Vegeta, caught in his pride, ponders over whether to go help Gohan or stay on the sidelines, when Harry yells at him to either help or leave. Finally, Vegeta’s better side brought him to power up to maximum and go help Gohan.
Even though Gohan was giving it all of his power, Cell begins to take a huge upper hand in the struggle once again, which leaves everyone, even Goku and Gohan, very worried. Cell was about to fully overtake Gohan and the Earth and everything on it was about to be destroyed, when suddenly a surprise Galick Blazer from Vegeta leaves Cell a bit stunned and very distracted. Gohan seizes the opportunity, encouraged by Goku, and unleashes all the rest of his strength into the Kamehameha wave, which overwhelms Cell’s Kamehameha and envelops him in the enormous energy. As Cell’s body disintegrates it is obvious Cell cannot understand that he has been defeated. His core is the last thing to burn up in the Kamehameha, and its destruction marks the moment of Cell’s death. Everyone was exhausted, especially Gohan, who had used up nearly all his energy to defeat Cell. Of course, despite his extreme fatigue and injuries, Gohan could only smile as the Z Fighters looked upon him with pride and as Goku told him how proud he was of him.
After the battle ends, the heroes made their way to Kami’s Lookout where Dende healed Gohan, and then 18 who Yamcha was scared of. After that, Gohan told everyone Krillin has a crush on 18. Cell was gone but so was Goku. The Z Warriors attempted to wish him back after wishing all of Cell’s victims back (this included Trunks), but failed to revive Goku because he had already been wished back to life once before and Shenron cannot revive a person more than once.
However, Goku decided to stay in Other World after explaining that he seems to attract evil people, so it would be better for the Earth to live in peace without him. He also states that Gohan and even Harry have surpassed him greatly now, so there would be no worries if another threat came. With the second wish, Krillin asks that the bombs inside both of them were removed. This Shenron could do with ease. 18, who had been hiding, revealed herself and got angry at Krillin for thinking that would soften her feeling for any of them, and partially out of Krillin mistaking 17 for her boyfriend instead of her twin brother. She then flew off, but not before saying “See you later.”
Piccolo plans on staying at the Lookout to train Dende to become a good Guardian of Earth. Harry and Gohan promised to visit him every once in a while. Trunks planned to stay for the night and leave for the future the next day after a good sleep. Tien told them he would probably never see them again, and after saying goodbye, left to see Chiaotzu.
As everyone said their goodbyes and parted ways, Yamcha told Trunks what Vegeta did for him. After hearing this Trunks became, for the first time, proud of his father. Meanwhile, Hercule lies to the whole world by claiming credit for Cell’s defeat. As Cell has been destroyed and Shenron has revived Cell’s victims, the people of Earth believe that this is proof that Hercule defeated Cell and can magically revive the dead, despite seeing him lose foolishly to Perfect Cell on TV.
After heartfelt goodbyes from the present (Gohan, Krillin, Yamcha, Bulma, her parents, and even Vegeta), Trunks returns to his own time via his time machine.
Chapter 6: Philosopher's Stone Saga
Chapter Text
In the aftermath of the Cell Games, a resurrected Professor Dumbledore gives Harry his Hogwarts acceptance letter, stating that the decision to attend Hogwarts would be left to Bulma and Vegeta. Vegeta insists that Harry attend, to better maximize his combat potential. With the threat of Cell eliminated, Dumbledore is better able to explain to the Briefs family the nature of magic and the magical world.
Harry goes to Diagon Alley with Dumbledore, Vegeta, and Bulma, in order to get school supplies, among other things. Harry gets a wand (Holly, 11″, Phoenix Feather Core), and a pet Snowy Owl, Hedwig. Harry is introduced to many witches and wizards, including: Quirinus Quirrell, Garak Ollivander, Horace Slughorn, and others.
On July 31st, Harry's birthday, a party was held on the Lookout, and Harry was introduced to several teachers and staff members from Hogwarts, as well as a few of his parents’ friends. A surprising arrival to the party, were Harry's parents and Goku, who had been given a day pass by King Yemma. Lily and James are especially proud of Harry for his aiding in the fight with Cell.
Soon, September 1st arrives, and it is now time for Harry to go to Hogwarts. At Platform 9 ¾, Harry, Vegeta, and Bulma meet the Weasley family, who are very happy to meet them, though they are a little put off by Vegeta. Harry loads his things onto the train and says goodbye to his parents and friends. Vegeta sternly tells him not to shirk his training.
While on the train, Harry gets to know the youngest Weasley boy, Ron, and a 1st generation witch, Hermione Granger. He also meets Draco Malfoy and his friends, Vincent Crabbe and Gregory Goyle.
The train arrives at Hogsmeade Village and the First Year students are escorted to Hogwarts Castle by Rubeus Hagrid, the school caretaker and are taken to be sorted into their houses (Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin). Harry and Hermione are sorted into Ravenclaw. Ron and Neville are sorted into Hufflepuff.
Harry begins learning wizardry and discovers more about his past and his parents. At the end of their first week at Hogwarts, Harry and Ron discover that Gringotts, the wizarding bank, was broken into. Harry discovers his talent for riding broomsticks and inadvertently makes Ravenclaw's Quidditch team (a sport in the wizarding world involving flying broomsticks) as a Seeker while defending another student, Neville Longbottom, from Draco Malfoy, a Slytherin first year, later learning that his father was also on the team.
After a few weeks acclimating, Harry is soon used to classes and has become part of a small circle of friends, including Hermione and Ron. Draco, who had tried to start trouble, soon fell in with the rest of Harry's friends. He had tried to convince Harry how important purebloods are and challenged him to a duel when he wouldn't listen. Harry accepted the challenge and proceeded to wipe the floor with him. Harry promises to teach Draco how to control his Ki and how to fight, along with anyone else who wants to learn.
One night, Harry, Ron and Hermione encounter a giant three-headed dog named Fluffy belonging to Hagrid at the Forbidden Corridor on the Third Floor of the school. The team's Keeper, Roger Davies, trains Harry and orients him of Quidditch.
After a Charms class with Professor Flitwick, on Hallowe'en, a frightened Quirrell informs everyone that an escaped mountain troll has entered the castle. As the houses are led back to their Common Rooms, Harry fights the troll and incapacitates it to save Hermione.
At Harry's first Quidditch match, Harry's broom becomes possessed, nearly knocking him off. Hermione sees Snape staring at Harry and mouthing words, making her believe that Snape has caused the broom to misbehave with a dark curse. Hoping to save Harry, Hermione sets Snape's robes on fire, distracting him and others and allowing Harry to survive and make Ravenclaw win the match. Later, Hagrid slips on the trio a name when confronted about his knowledge of Fluffy, Nicholas Flamel.
At Christmas, Harry receives an Invisibility Cloak, once belonging to his father, which renders its wearer invisible. Harry uses it to explore the Restricted Section in the library to research information on Nicolas Flamel. Later, while exploring the castle, Harry discovers a magical mirror which shows him a vision of his new family and his parents enjoying themselves. Dumbledore encounters Harry looking at the mirror and tells that it is the Mirror of Erised, which shows the deepest desire of one's heart and how it could not help much when people wasted their lives after being driven mad by it. He then moves the mirror and advises Harry against searching for it again.
When term resumes, the trio assume that someone is trying to get past the dog. Eventually, Harry learns that Nicolas Flamel is the only known maker of the Philosopher's Stone, which produces the Elixir of Life which will make the drinker immortal. Hagrid, Hermione discovers that the dog is guarding the stone itself. Harry concludes that Quirrell is trying to obtain the stone.
That night, the trio visit Hagrid's hut to get more information. There they discover a dragon egg which hatches a Norwegian Ridgeback dragon, that Hagrid names as "Norbert". The three convince Hagrid to let Norbert go live with other dragons of his kind in Romania.
Later that night, Harry trains in the forest, and encounters a hooded figure drinking a unicorn's blood for its healing properties. The hooded figure attempts to attack Harry, only to be scared off by an arriving centaur named Firenze, a close friend of Hagrid's. Harry concludes that the hooded figure was a weakened Voldemort and that Quirrell is trying to get the stone to restore Voldemort to full strength.
After hearing from Hagrid that the Fluffy will fall asleep if played music and that he revealed this to a man in a local pub, Harry concludes that Quirrell was the man in the pub and attempt to warn Dumbledore. Upon learning that he is away on business, the trio conclude that Quirrell will attempt to steal the stone that night and resolve to find the stone before Quirrell does.
The trio, after bypassing Fluffy, face a series of obstacles: surviving a deadly plant, flying past hundreds of flying keys and winning a violent, life-sized chess match. The trio use their skills to overcome the obstacles: Hermione uses her knowledge of spells to get past the plant, Devil's Snare; Harry uses his skills as a Seeker to get past the keys and catch the one that unlocks the door; and Ron uses his skill at chess to win the chess match. However, Ron is nearly killed in the chess match and Hermione stays with him as Harry goes on ahead alone.
In the final room, Quirrell reveals that he let the troll in, tried to kill Harry in the Quidditch match. Then, Professor Quirrell forces Harry to look in the Mirror of Erised. Due to an enchantment placed by Dumbledore, Harry finds the stone in his pocket after looking in the mirror. After trying to get Harry to answer what he has seen in the mirror, Quirrell removes his turban and reveals a weakened Voldemort to be living on the back of his head. Harry tries to escape but Quirrell starts a fire by clicking his fingers to prevent his escape. Voldemort tries to convince Harry to give him the stone by pledging to bring his parents back from the dead, but Harry refuses. Quirrell then tries to kill him but Harry's touch prevents him from hurting him and causes him to turn into dust and die. When Harry gets up, Voldemort's spirit forms and passes through Harry, knocking him unconscious before fleeing.
Harry wakes up at the school's hospital wing. Professor Dumbledore explains that the stone has been destroyed and that Hermione and Ron are safe. Quirrell burned at Harry's touch because, when Harry's mother died to save him, her death gave Harry a love-based protection against Voldemort. Harry soon exits the hospital wing and is reunited with Ron and Hermione, with Ron once again brought back to consciousness. During the end-of-year feast, Gryffindor has 312 House Points, Hufflepuff 352, Ravenclaw 426 and Slytherin 472. The Ravenclaws are upset that Slytherin would once again win the House Cup, but then Dumbledore interrupts and announces that recent events must be taken into account and has a few last minute points to award. First, fifty points to Hermione for cool use of intellect while others were in peril, fifty points to Ron for the best played game of chess that Hogwarts had seen for many years, sixty points to Harry for pure nerve and outstanding courage, and ten points to Neville for the bravery of standing up to his friends. These last-minute points win Ravenclaw the House Cup at 536 points, leaving Hufflepuff in third place with 412 points. Before Harry and the rest of the students leave for the summer, Harry hands out his contact information to Hermione, Ron, and Neville while promising to stay in touch with Draco the best he can.
