Rainy Day In

Summary:

in which yoongi and his boyfriend, hoseok, spend a rainy day inside their apartment together.

Work Text:

The smell of fresh coffee, the sound of rain hitting the apartment building, and a warm bed is something that Yoongi cherishes when given the opportunity too. He turns over in the bed, half expecting his boyfriend to be lying in the bed next to him. Obviously that is not the case, so instead, he decides to snuggle into his boyfriend’s pillow instead.

Yoongi doesn’t even remember when he came to bed last night. The last thing he remembers was hunching over the coffee table in the living room, scribbling into his notebook whilst listening to a produced instrumental track that he worked on with Namjoon a few weeks prior.

For whatever reason, neither him or Namjoon can find the right lyrics for the track. They seriously don’t want to give up on this track because they love how it sounds. They’ll get it done, they always do. Yoongi takes a deep breath through his nose before releasing it through his mouth. He knows he’ll have to get up sooner or later, especially with how his boyfriend is.

He wonders what time it even was but he doesn’t feel like looking for his phone. It’s probably still in the living room, dead. He almost dozed back off to sleep until he hears the bedroom door creaking open. “Yoongi,”

Yoongi has to bite his bottom lip to keep himself from smiling at how soft Hoseok’s voice is. He hears the shuffling of his boyfriend’s feet on the carpet floor, making his way over to the bed. A kiss is pressed to his cheek, making his face flush and his gummy smile to appear.

Who would have thought the Min Yoongi would turn so soft over his boyfriend? Hoseok and Yoongi always had a special relationship out of all the members in Bangtan. Hoseok always stood out to Yoongi and vice versa. The crazy things Hoseok could get Yoongi to do whilst the other members couldn’t.

He always somehow managed to make Yoongi smile without even trying really. All the hand holding, the hugs, Yoongi sitting in his lap. Those just things that the two did naturally. Don’t even get started on the secret rendezvous the two did that the other members still don’t know about.

They always managed to say that their relationship was only platonic but the members knew better. Hoseok and Yoongi just didn’t want to admit their feelings for one another in fear of rejection. It’s been a year and a half since the two have been together as a couple.

“Wake up.” Hoseok whines making Yoongi turn over to face his boyfriend. Hoseok smiles seeing that his boyfriend is somewhat awake.

“Come back to bed,”

Yoongi pats on the bed next to him but Hoseok just shakes his head, doing his best not to coo at how adorable his boyfriend looks and how nice it is to hear his morning voice. Though the two are constantly around each other, nearly 24/7, the two don’t really get to share private moments like this together.

Whether it’s hearing his boyfriend’s morning voice or waking up in the same bed as him, the small things really matter to the both of them. “It’s raining outside.” Yoongi just raises his eyebrows with a so what manner.

“So, we’re drinking coffee and watching cringe worthy dramas whilst making fun of them.”

“No,” Yoongi pouts like a little kid, pulling the blanket over his head. Hoseok can’t help but to laugh at his boyfriend’s childishness. Though the elder one out of the two may always act calm and mature, he still acts like a little kid around Hoseok.

“It’s already ten, you got to sleep in.”

“But-”

“The coffee will still be hot once you’re done taking a shower.”

With that being said, Hoseok walks away from the bed and out of the room, smiling to himself. It’s been at least a month since him and Yoongi have been able to do this. The couple can’t exactly pinpoint when they did this, sitting inside whilst curled up with one another, drinking coffee or wine, and making fun of really terrible dramas.

They don’t seem like the type to do it, but doing so gives them a break from thinking about everything idol related. It’s something that the two of them need right now. Hoseok hears the shower water running so he decides to go on ahead and fix their coffee. While doing so, he thinks about how hungry Yoongi must be from waking up so he looks through their refrigerator.

They really need to go out and buy groceries since they won’t be traveling away from home anytime soon. He manages to find some strawberries and some blueberries. “This will have to do.” He mutters, pulling the containers of fruit from the fridge.

Hoseok thinks about when they even bought these but soon realizes their from Seokjin. He came over last week to use their blender to make smoothies when he surprisingly knocked his own off the counter back at home. Of course, neither Yoongi nor Hoseok minded, they both got to enjoy free smoothies.

When Yoongi steps out of the shower, he definitely feels more awake than before. The problem is now, he just wants to curl up next to his boyfriend’s warm body and sleep. The sound of rain is still strong and it makes him feel relaxed but a bit sleepy. He wraps a towel around his waist before walking over to the sink to brush his teeth.

Once he finishes in the bathroom, he grabs another towel before leaving so he can dry his hair. Yoongi takes the towel and messily runs it over his hair until it’s somewhat dry. It’s dry enough to where the water isn’t dripping from his black hair. He drops the towel onto the floor, making his way over to the shared dresser. He pulls out one of Hoseok’s oversized t-shirts and a pair of his own boxers.

There’s no point in actually making an effort in getting dressed if it’s just going to be a day at home. Also, he just finds Hoseok’s shirts really comfortable to wear. Yoongi quick finishes getting ready for the rest of the day, smelling clean and feeling comfortable. When Yoongi walks out of their shared bedroom and into the living room, Hoseok just finished putting the coffee and fruit onto the coffee table.

“I put you things from last night away in our room,” Hoseok tells Yoongi, not bothering to look up as he places the thickest blanket that the two own onto the sofa. Hoseok knows where to put his boyfriend’s things, especially if it’s work related. “Thank you,”

Yoongi makes his way over to where Hoseok is standing, the drama already loaded onto the television screen. Hoseok turns off the lights that were on since it’s a bit dark due to the heavy rain clouds outside. He leaves the balcony curtains open though so there’s a tiny but of light, besides the television screen.

“Is this the same one as before?”

“We’re picking up from where we left off. Do you still remember everything we’ve watched so far?”

The two of them slip up under the blanket, Yoongi curling into Hoseok’s side as he’s handed his coffee mug. He watches as his boyfriend presses play on the remote for the drama to start.

The both of them groan right as it starts off with a very bad crying scene. “There are no tears,” Yoongi complained as the girl supposedly sobs as the man walks away from her.

“I know.”

The two spent the day like that, curled up next to one another. They sipped coffee throughout the day whilst munching on the fruit. It has been a good day to the both of them so far.

Things took a bit of a turn when Hoseok decided to press his lips to Yoongi’s after become somewhat bored of the drama playing in front of them. Currently, Yoongi is sitting on Hoseok’s lap as kisses are shared.

The drama is long forgotten as Hoseok wraps his arms around the elder’s waist while Yoongi entangles his fingers into Hoseok’s black hair. It’s just a lazy make-out session, something that won’t lead to anything but more cuddles. Yoongi is the first one to pull out, not exactly out of breath but because he just wanted to look at Hoseok.

“Mmh, something wrong?” Hoseok questions, a lazy grin on his face making Yoongi grin as well. Anyone who would just glance at the could tell how much they are in love with one another. Yoongi shakes his head making Hoseok raise an eyebrow.

“I love you.”

Hoseok’s features light up as the words leave his lover’s lips. He’s full on smiling now. Everyone who knows Yoongi, knows that he’d rather express his feelings by actions rather than by words unless it’s a song of course.

“I love you too,”

After the words are returned, Yoongi grabs the back of Hoseok’s head, reconnecting their lips once again for a passionate kiss. When they finally break apart once again, Hoseok is the one to suggest that they go curl up in bed and get some much-needed sleep.

Of course, Yoongi isn’t one to turn down sleep so he waits for Hoseok to turn off the television before moving off of his lap and standing up. Hoseok grabs Yoongi’s hand, intertwining them before walk off towards the bedroom.

They both get into bed together, Hoseok the one to pull the blanket over them whilst Yoongi throws his arm over his boyfriend’s wait. He lies his head on his chest and intertwines their legs together.

“Thank you for today,”

Yoongi whispers, eyes getting heavy due to the warmth he feels on his body and in his heart. Hoseok smiles, wrapping his arm around Yoongi, pulling him even closer to him.

“You’re welcome, Yoongs.”

The both of them accept the sleepiness that’s taking over their bodies. Both of them fall asleep feeling content with life for the moment because it’s simple days like this they cherish the most.
