His alarm buzzed with a familiar tune as it did every morning.
He felt the space behind him shift with a heavy weight, as normal.
Allowing a small smile to slip, Miles sat up in bed and turned off the alarm.
His boyfriend hadn't woken up yet, it would always take him another 30 minutes.
Sliding his legs over the side of the bed, Miles checked his phone.
If he remembered correctly, he, Phoenix, and Dick were all supposed to have lunch together at Miles' house.
Scrolling through his contact list, he found his boyfriend's name set as "Nicky" with a ridiculous heart emoji next to it.
Damn. He knew he shouldn't have let Kay know his password.
Checking his other boyfriend's contact name, it had been set to "Gummy" with yet another heart emoji.
Miles wasn't the type for affectionate nicknames, and he never would be.
He knew Kay was out in the living room, most likely playing with Pess and Missile, as evidenced by the clicking of numerous toenails on the hardwood floor.
"Kay," Miles called out into the living room, the early morning light failing to brighten whatever dark corner the thief in training was in.
"Kay, I know you're there. We need to have a discussion about my phone."
There was a heavy sigh as the raven haired girl stepped out from behind a bookcase, her hair down and pajamas covered in dust.
"I feel like you never show enough affection to Gummy and Phoenix, ok?" The young girl huffed, placing her hands on her hips and pouting.
Miles felt himself blush, and he averted his eyes.
"I very much am affectionate with them, Kay, I'm just not very good at showing it in front of other people."
Kay snickered.
"Well, if you are really affectionate with them, then prove it!" She giggled.
Miles crossed his arms in frustration.
"Kay, that is highly ina--"
He was cut off by Kay hushing him.
Miles sighed loudly. He very much disliked the thought of having to proclaim it out loud, but he knew even if he refused, Kay would be persistent.
"Fine then."
"Kay, I am very much in love with my two boyfriends, Dick Gumshoe, and Phoenix Wright. I've fallen for them very hard, and though I may not show it outwardly, I cherish every moment we spend together. Happy?" Miles stated.
"Aw, Miles, you didn't have to say it so loudly, I could hear you just fine from the bedroom," A familiar gruff voice said from behind him.
"I never knew you to be the upfront type with that kind of thing Miles," another voice called from the kitchen, amusing tone tinging his voice.
Miles' eye's widened and his face went bright red.
"Kay," he squeaked, "How long has Phoenix been here?"
Kay erupted into a laughing fit, falling to the floor in hysterics.
"I-It was his idea! He's been here since 8!" She chuckled, stumbling over her words, trying to breathe.
The flustered prosecutor turned his head to the kitchen, where his spiky-haired lover sat on his counter top, laughing.
Miles could also hear the hearty laugh of Dick behind him, turning him even more red.
He stood there, frozen for a few moments. Kay still lay on the floor, but her laughing had steadily decreased. It was now just a few giggles every now and then.
Miles finally broke out of his trance to find that both Phoenix and Dick had begun hugging him. A soft smile spread across his face again, although his face was still flushed red.
They were embarrassments, but Miles loved them dearly.
