Chapter Text
Junho was very nervous and extremely eager to meet Kim Jimin and so he arrived at the meeting place almost half hour early. He got the perfect spot at one of the most expensive restaurant in London with a beautiful view of the pool. Junho didn’t mind the pricey rates of the five star restaurants because all he wanted to do was impress Jimin.
He wanted this meeting to go as smoothly as possible. He fell in love with Jimin’s cute smile, his eyes and especially his body when he first saw a picture of him. One glance and then it was a downwards spiral for Junho who lost himself in the various beautiful candid pictures of Jimin on his Facebook page. He really wanted to get to know Jimin so it was normal for him to be nervous about this meeting.
Junho had practiced on how he should speak to Jimin a million times in front of the mirror and would blush immensely when he thought about how cute Jimin looked in the picture. He didn’t think he could survive those chocolate brown eyes and that killer smile.
Junho wasn’t much interested in marriage proposals when his mother got him a bunch of photos but Jimin had caught his eyes. He immediately agreed to meet him and so this meeting was arranged.
Junho had heard from his mother about Namjoon and his family and about how Jimin was a very shy and well-mannered boy. His mother had gone on and on about how Jimin had never done anything bad and how he was as pure as god himself which raised Junho’s expectations by a lot.
Junho checked his watch again and smiled at himself as there was only 5 minutes left until Jimin was to come. He looked out and saw the women and men jumping into the pool and having fun and Junho started daydreaming about how he and Jimin would do the same after they get married.
Junho sighed and took note of his heart beating rapidly against his chest and a blush crept on his face as he imagined Jimin in the pool with him in only his shorts or maybe without that but his thoughts were broken when he heard the loud crashing of plates onto the floor and people gasping.
He looked over and saw Jimin trying to help the waiter who was on the floor with food all over him and apologizing to everyone as he made him way to Junho. Jimin had messy hair and he had worn old t shirt which had holes in them and pajamas to the classy restaurant and this was not what Junho was expecting of Jimin. Jimin finally came over to Junho’s table after falling over at least three times.
As Jimin got closer, Junho smelled the awful stench of alcohol on him and asked “are you drunk?”
Jimin only smiled creepily as he sat on the chair in front of Junho and then he said in a slurry tone “only a little. I’m a bit hung over. I’m so sorry I had a blast last night with the girls.”
“Girls?” Junho asked confused. His mother had clearly told him that Jimin was gay, where did these girls come from?
“Yes, the strippers from the Big Bunnies club. Have you seen them? Their boo-…” Jimin was about to talk but Junho looked around and then whispered quickly in panic “Please don’t talk about strippers here.”
Junho was extremely confused and then looked to Jimin and his eyes widened when he saw a hickey on Jimin’s neck. Junho blushed and then kept his head down thinking of all kinds of questions. The waiter came and asked them what they wanted. He was judging Jimin very hard so Junho only ordered orange juice and when the waiter looked to Jimin, Jimin looked to Junho unsure of what to say.
Junho frowned and asked “what’s wrong?”
“Uh...I forgot my wallet. Will you be treating me?” Jimin asked making himself small and his voice cute.
“Of course. You can order.” Junho answered immediately because Jimin looked too damn cute.
Jimin clapped and ordered almost everything on the menu as Junho sat there with his eyes ready to fall out of his sockets and jaw dropping to the ground. Junho felt goosebumps when he thought about how Jimin would look like in a few years if he keeps eating like that.
As the waiter was about to leave Jimin stopped him and ordered vodka too and Junho immediately asked “but you are already drunk. I…don’t think you should take anymore.”
“Don’t worry, Junhiee….I will be fine. I have a high tolerance. I learnt about that when I was 14.” Jimin said waving his hands and then he slapped the waiter’s ass who only glared at him once before he left.
“You started drinking when you were 14?” Junho asked almost jumping to his feet.
Jimin scoffed and said “of course. My dad was the one who gave me the drink.”
Junho’s head was spinning. He watched as Jimin downed the alcohol and waffles together. Junho almost felt like puking at Jimin’s horrible table manners. Junho sipped on his juice but couldn’t finish even that when he saw Jimin gargle the alcohol and then drink it.
Junho noticed the bag Jimin had with him and asked “do you carry that bag to work?”
“Oh this? This is my secret supply of food and drinks you know in case I get hungry and want to stuff my face and pass out because my boyfriends generally won’t allow me to drink much.” Jimin giggled and Junho felt like all of this was a dream. It had to be.
“Boyfriends?” Junho asked shocked and Jimin nodded and then showed 7 fingers and said “9 boyfriends.”
“But you are showing only 7.” Junho said as he counted Jimin’s fingers.
“Oops…sorry 9. I had 9 boyfriends.” Jimin corrected himself and Junho gasped.
Jimin sat back in his chair and said “well now I’m just tired. These one night stands, cigarettes, affairs, alcohol and sex without romance…”
“Sex?!?” Junho jumped at that. This was the end of his tolerance now.
Jimin laughed and said “of course! But now I have told my parents that I want to settle down with a good Korean boy like you. You see, I haven’t had a Korean boy since I was 11 i think and he was bad too. He didn’t even know how to kiss properly. I’m sure you would know how to kiss, right?” Jimin asked in a teasing tone and that was it.
Junho got off his chair, throwing the money on the table and ran out the door crying in the most dramatic and girly way as possible as Jimin watched him with a confused look.
Junho walked on the street, mindlessly walking and believing every single word Jimin told him like the naïve person he was when he got a call from his mother. He immediately cried as he told her everything.
There Jimin walked out the restaurant with a huge smile on his face. He was so glad to have gotten rid of Junho so easily. He knew now that if he went and begged Junho to marry him, Junho wouldn’t even want to see his face. He had successfully traumatized the guy. Jimin wondered if Junho would even want to marry anymore.
Just as expected, a few minutes later Namjoon called Jimin and Jimin rolled his eyes as he praised Junho very much, all the while trying to hide the laugh that kept resurfacing whenever he remembered Junho’s horrified look. Jimin cut the call and got in the cab as he laughed his ass off.
Namjoon was pretty happy that Jimin liked Junho and he felt quite positive about this marriage proposal but then he got a call from Junho’s mother and he was bombarded by a series of cuss words and blabbering from the woman. He kept apologizing but the woman was in no mood to listen to him so he cut the call and called out Jin angrily.
When Namjoon didn’t get a response form Jin, he went to search for him in the store he owned and found Jin addressing to the customers. The son didn’t like that his mother was choosing clothes for him and so he went to the side to busy himself with his phone as the mother eyed Jin’s jeans.
The mother pointed to Jin’s pants and complimented “those jeans look very nice actually.”
Jin looked to her and said innocently “I’m glad you like them but these are for men only. You can’t wear them.”
The mother looked a bit embarrassed and said “I know.”
Jin looked at her for a while and then asked “oh you want these for your son?”
The son looked at her mom and said “mom, I can choose them on my own.”
“Oh so you want these for your husband?” Jin asked but the mother was still a bit unsure and said “well not really my husband…umm you see… I have met someone I like and he is about the same height as you and-…”
“Mom! You are having an affair?” the son yelled and it lightened Jin’s mood.
Jin loved drama.
He immediately congratulated the mother and asked “is it a new affair or have you guys been together for a really long time? You see, I have a circle of friends who would love to discuss this with you and I’m quite the help too. I can give you advices and get you married too if you are ready. Here, have our card an-…”
Namjoon who was observing from the side and he jumped in and took Jin away, dragging him to the side and scolded him saying “why are you like this? Why do you keep saying such stuff?”
“Why are you being mean? What happened?” Jin asked as he saw the son leave his mother behind and leave.
“You are asking me what happened?” Namjoon asked when he felt like they were out of everyone’s sight.
“I thought my question was clear Joonie.” Jin said not understanding the sarcasm in Namjoon’s tone. Namjoon only wondered how he married Jin. The man can be so dense sometimes.
Namjoon rolled his eyes and got to the point of his frustration that morning which not surprisingly involved Jimin “your son is so out of control. Junho apparently got the shock of his life.”
“Oh gosh, what did Jimin do now?” Jin groaned and Namjoon folded his arms and asked angrily “Did you know that Jimin has 9 boyfriends?”
“What?” Jin gasped as he stared at Namjoon.
“Yeah, Jimin told Junho that and that’s not even the worst thing he said. He even said that he hadn’t dated a Korean guy since 11 and something about affairs and…” Namjoon as trying to tell Jin everything he was able to make out form Junho’s mothers screaming.
“Did you know that Jimin downed the waffles with vodka?” Namjoon asked, unable to believe that his son did that but Jin only had a proud expression on his face as he whispered “Well that is a skill…”
“Jin, please, honey focus. Did you know he even said that now he wants to settle with a Korean boy now? He told it like he has been fooling around until now.” Namjoon ha dot sit down now. Jimin was going to make his blood pressure shoot through the roof.
“Aww my Jiminie finally chose the best thing.” Jin said happily, not realizing that Jimin was actually lying about settling down.
“No! Are you even listening to me? I’m sure Jimin was lying to get out of this. Who the hell gives him all these stupid ideas?” Namjoon groaned and dragged his fingers down his face in frustration.
“Oh god! What will I do with that boy?” Jin huffed as he thought about his one and only son, their little troublemaker Kim Jimin.
Namjoon and Jin were extremely worried about Jimin but Jimin believed this was the time to enjoy and to not listen to parents at all. He wasn’t going to let marriage pull him down and he definitely wasn’t going to listen to his parents when he could have the time of his life with his friends.
Jimin made his way to the showers at the gym and got ready there after he had thoroughly worked out for a good two hours. He kind of regretted eating the waffles and the alcohol but he did get a good laugh out of it.
Jimin adjusted his wet bangs, loving the dark brown color on his hairs and smirked when he saw a couple of guys turn around to get a good look at him. He shook his head shyly before he made his way to his office. Jimin was a fairly new worker there, having only worked for 7 months now but he had already proven to be an integral part of the place. He was a hard worker and that didn’t go unnoticed by his bosses.
Jimin reached for the doors and smiled when he saw the old security guard who would always bow to Jimin and greet him. Jimin saluted to him cheerfully and asked “did you miss me?”
“As always.” The old man said with a kind smile and Jimin beamed at him, his smile bright and cheerful and his cheeks a beautiful rosy pink color.
Everybody was Jimin’s fan at his workplace and Jimin’s desk was always filled with snacks, love letters and gifts and the pile kept increasing day by day. It kept Jimin happy because he really liked the attention he was given.
Jimin never had a dull moment on his life he had always been the top student, the most popular one and he worked hard to become who he was. He wanted people to notice him and he always worked to gain compliments. He wanted his work to be appreciated and he even treated his body that way. He always wanted the best for himself.
Jimin went to his desk and true to their nature, Jimin’s fans kept his desk occupied. Jimin chose a lollipop between many and started sucking on it as he made his way to his friend’s cubicle.
Jimin peeked to see Sukja, his only Korean friend working seriously and he slowly sneaked up on her and scared her and she fell off the chair and caught her chest breathing as she cursed at Jimin. Jimin laughed loudly and helped her stand up.
“You fucking dick! I think I lost 10 years of my life just now.” Sukja said dramatically while Jimin laughed.
“Then you don’t have much time to live now, right Noona?” Jimin teased and Sukja hit his shoulder hard but laughed with him anyway.
Sukja settled in her chair and glared at Jimin as she took on the role of being Jimin’s mother at his office and said “your father called me. I had to lie to him and tell him that you were in an important meeting.”
“Very nice, Noona. You’re learning to be a good liar.” Jimin said impressed by her but she scowled at him and turned to her computer and said “Yeah yeah whatever kid. Just tell me beforehand if you are going to do such a ridiculous thing. I would avoid your dad’s calls too.”
“Okay Noona. Let’s go and eat something.” Jimin said, pulling on her sleeve and she stared at him and asked “But you just got here.”
“Like that ever stopped us. Come on Noona, I’m Jimin. I’m the king here. I can do whatever I want and you know that. Come on lets go. I’m starving.” Jimin tugged on her sleeve even more, stretching the fabric and he was making his puppy eyes so she had no choice but to get up and follow after Jimin who whooped in victory.
They went to a café near their office when Sukja asked him “what’s wrong in marrying a Korean boy?”
“They are Korean. That is the problem.” Jimin deadpanned.
“But aren’t you one too? Maybe a Korean boy would have a better understanding. The communication barrier would be lifted too.” Sukja said even though she knew that Jimin would only try to justify what he always believed.
Jimin sighed as he said to her “Noona, just like your name, you are old minded. I am British. I was born here, raised here and sang their national anthem since I was a kid. I have never even been to Korea and my parents are citizens of London so my attitude, my liking and thinking are all British. I don’t even like Korean food let alone like a Korean boy so I might as well date someone who is more to my taste.”
Sukja gave up knowing she wasn’t getting through to Jimin. She was amazed at how Jimin could always tell the same thing differently.
She got really curious and asked “then what kind of a guy do you want?”
Jimin’s eyes twinkled and he smiled because he was finally able to successfully make Sukja divert the topic herself and at the perfect time, they heard the purring of a brand new Ferrari and everyone’s eyes turned that way.
The windows of the car rolled down and Jimin’s smile brightened as he saw his boss, Jungkook removing his goggles and smiling back at him.
“Hey, Jimin! Come on!” Jungkook invited Jimin and Sukja immediately caught Jimin’s hand and said “Not him! Not Jeon Jungkook!”
“Why not?” Jimin asked her, his smile turning to pout when he saw how offended she looked.
“Well for starters…he is Korean which you just said you hated.” Sukja pointed out and Jimin replied with a grin “Uh nope…he is British Korean. He is a mixed blood and nowhere as boring as those men my father sent at me.”
Jungkook honked and Jimin got up and was making his way to the car when Sukja said as she followed behind “you do realize that he is the uncrowned king of office affairs and that he had been married 3 times and divorced 3 times and that his next target is you.”
“Well then it seems like I have a date with a king then.” Jimin said as he turned to her and winked at her.
“Seriously Jiminie?” Sukja asked as she looked between Jimin and Jungkook’s car.
“Bye Noona.” Jimin ignored his Noona’s words and got in Jungkook’s car appreciating the sleek design of the car and it looked like it was custom made for Jungkook.
Jungkook was 2 years younger than Jimin but more successful than him but his kind of success came because of the fortune that his father had. One phone call and Jungkook was made a part of the board of directors and he had taken a liking to Jimin. Jimin was completely swept off his feet the first day he met Jungkook. It was the same for Jungkook when Jimin came for the interview with confidence.
It didn’t matter to Jungkook that the other people who interviewed Jimin didn’t find him so compatible, not knowing about his hard working skills. He wanted Jimin in the office and he made it happen and ever since then he had been slowly approaching Jimin with flirty looks and sweet talk. Jimin liked Jungkook’s sneaky efforts at charming him and he felt a little special because no one could resist that face and he loved teasing him back because two could play at that game.
Jungkook tried everything to impress Jimin. From taking him to important meetings to taking him to private dinners to giving Jimin preference during projects, he did it all. Jungkook’s partiality didn’t go unnoticed and many were jealous of Jimin and the boy has had his fair share of death threats come his way. Jungkook was popular and Jimin understood that so he didn’t really bother letting those death threats ruin his day.
Jungkook once saw the death threats and he got the girl arrested for harassing Jimin. That day he tried to approach Jimin but Jimin had rejected him, too tired for everything that had happened and he frankly didn’t want to do anything with Jungkook yet. Flirting and all was good but he wasn’t going to let Jungkook in his pants yet.
That only led to Jungkook trying even harder to get Jimin. The other day before he saw Jimin looking at a Ferrari poster and he heard him talking with the other employees about how cool the Ferrari looked so he went ahead and bought the car. That’s how cocky and rich Jungkook was.
Jimin was very excited to get in a Ferrari and they roamed around the city with Jungkook speeding the car and Jimin giggling and screaming as he felt the rush take over. Jimin loved speed just like any young man and Jungkook especially inviting him increased Jungkook’s rank in Jimin’s favorite people.
They came back to the office two hours later and Jimin ran to Sukja and told her of how exciting everything was with Jungkook but she was in no mood to hear how her boss was trying to get into her best friend’s pants. Jimin pouted and decided that this conversation should be taken to someone with common interest and so he called his very best friend, Taehyung.
Jimin excitedly told Taehyung about it and to Jimin’s disappointment, Taehyung seemed distracted and didn’t really speak much.
“Why are you so quiet Tae, I said I went in a Ferrari!” Jimin screamed again just to show his excitement.
“Uh…well...ah! Jimin…I’m…busy…” Taehyung sounded sick, his voice low and he was panting too.
“What? Busy? Are you okay, Tae? You don’t sound too good.” Jimin asked, really concerned for his friend.
“I’m with Hoseok, Jimin. Please understand the situation.” Taehyung said with a moan at the end and Jimin immediately cut the call and blushed violently.
Taehyung was such a shameless guy.
Finally after 20 minutes Taehyung called back and he seemed much normal which was him being super hyper about everything. He sang Jimin’s name and told him how jealous he was of him for riding a Ferrari but then Taehyung giggled and said “well I rode Hoseok so I guess I win.”
“Eww gross, Tae. Please! TMI!!” Jimin growled and Taehyung laughed.
Jimin sighed and sat on his chair as he said “well your idea worked perfectly. I did as you told and Junho ran away like a girl.”
“Awesome! I told you it would work.” Taehyung said with a proud smile as he opened a chocolate bar and began to eat it.
“Yeah and I got a delicious breakfast for free too.” Jimin chuckled and Taehyung gasped as he asked “You made him pay?”
“Of course I did!” Jimin giggled and Taehyung laughed too as he said “You are awesome, Jiminie. You have all the skills to be a troll.”
“I learnt it from you so I know I’m good. How is Hoseok?” Jimin asked as he propped his legs upon his desk. He had an entire office room to himself, a courtesy of one Jeon Jungkook.
“He is fantastic Jimin.” Taehyung aid dreamily and Jimin scoffed and said “Oh my god! You are so dirty, Tae. I’m asking how he is health wise but I guess it’s my fault anyway. I should have known your response.”
“I know I know. We are all fine. Um… actually I’m at our new apartment.” Taehyung said shyly and Jimin sat up.
“Wait what?” Jimin asked and Taehyung learned his throat as he said “We are going to move in together now.”
“What? Are you serious?” Jimin asked, completely baffled by Taehyung’s decision. He didn’t have a clue.
“Yeah.” Taehyung said weakly and he sounded a bit scared and weak and Jimin knew the reason why.
Taehyung’s father, Daehyun was a stoic and a very religious kind of guy and Taehyung knew that his father would never accept this. Jimin could somehow understand Taehyung’s decision of not letting anyone know about this.
“It will be fine, Tae. Don’t worry. I wish you all the luck.” Jimin said because he wasn’t going to make Taehyung feel like shit for making his own decision.
“Thanks man. Look I have to go now. We are going to buy some furniture so…” Taehyung said and Jimin nodded as he quickly replied “Yeah sure. Take care.”
“You too. Tell Namjoon and Jin that I said hi and I will meet you later okay?” Taehyung said and Jimin smiled and said “Definitely. Bye bye Tae. See ya.”
Taehyung cut the call and Jimin sat in deep thought. He was happy to see Taehyung happy but somewhere in Jimin’s heart, he believed that Taehyung was being a bit reckless. Hoseok was an awesome guy but Daehyun wouldn’t get it and this was moving a bit too fast. Taehyung had been dating Hoseok for only 8 months now.
Jimin sighed in relief because at least Taehyung’s mom was a bit open-minded but he doubted that she would take Taehyung’s decision well.
Everyone has their limits.
Jimin looked to the side and found a small figurine of a teddy bear holding a letter and he opened it with a smile knowing who it was from. He read the letter, admiring the beautiful handwriting and the content which was an invitation to the same restaurant the letter always says.
Jimin brushed his thumb on the initials ‘J.K’ at the end of the letter and wondered why Jungkook even bothered to mention it. Jimin knew it was from Jungkook and Jungkook knew that Jimin would come.
Jimin looked up and saw Jungkook looking…no staring at him with those dark eyes which screamed how much desire he had for Jimin and Jimin blushed as he stared back. Jimin tightened his fists as he saw Jungkook lick his lips as he eyed Jimin.
Jungkook winked at Jimin and a sly smile came on his lips as he turned around knowing he had pressed the right buttons to turn Jimin on.
Jimin lowered his head and covered his face with his hands as he squealed.
Damn Jungkook was hot!
Jimin could feel himself fall deeper for Jungkook and he wasn’t trying to deny the feeling.
