In Jeongguks opinion winter was only good for one thing, staying in with his boyfriend.
Winter break went by pretty slowly, and Jeongguk still couldn’t believe that Hoseok stopped all his celebrity activities just to stick around for three weeks. Could he be more perfect?
Not to mention the routine that Hoseok made sure he followed because, Gukk, you studied so hard these past months, you deserve it baby.
The routine was basically waking Jeongguk up with breakfast in bed every single day, spend the rest of the morning with him watching Netflix, cooking lunch together, going out for a walk with the dogs, come back home tired but happy, then going out to a different restaurant every night to eat dinner. Jeongguks definition of heaven was pretty much this.
And it was all good and great during the first week, but the second was kind of a mess. Hoseok woke up to make breakfast but immediately regretted it after noticing how cold it was, he walked to the window and opened the curtains to see snow. So much snow.
Going out with the dogs wouldn’t happen, poor puppies, but Hoseok was more worried about what they would do the whole day, the week before they watched most of Netflixs gallery, including the movies they swore they wouldn’t watch because they have standards. While preparing hot chocolate he came to the conclusion that it would be a lazy day, not that the days before were active or anything, but today was an even more lazy day.
It wouldn’t be a problem actually, because what Jeongguk wanted the most was to stay in bed all day, but Hoseok didn’t let that happen - I mean, you’re not even going to gym, Gukk, do you know how not you that is? -, he dragged his boyfriend up and down the city, making up a million things they could do instead of staying home and Jeongguk was secretly grateful for it.
Going back to their bedroom with the dogs following him, Hoseok pushed the door open with his elbow and walked in, noticing Jeongguk moving under the thick blanket.
‘Hey baby, still on the process of waking up? Or are you lucid enough to hold a cup of hot chocolate?’ - says Hoseok, placing the tray with pancakes and hot drinks for both of them on the bed.
Jeongguk looks over the blanket, grumbles, sits up and scratches his neck.
‘Isn’t it too early for breakfast?’ - Hoseok bites his tongue to not let out an ‘aww’ at his boyfriends cute pout.
‘Breakfast has to be served early, that’s why it’s the first meal of the day’ - Hoseok picks up the hot chocolate and gives it to Jeongguk, who accepts with a hum - ‘And it’s not even late, it’s almost nine, soon we gotta start making lunch.’
Jeongguk whines - ‘No, let’s just… Stay in bed.’ - He takes a sip, a bit of chocolate smudged on his upper lip - ‘Also, it’s way colder than normal, I don’t wanna move.’
Hoseok walks around the bed and sits beside Jeongguk, taking the coffee he brought to himself and drinking it, he makes a funny face, too strong for his taste - ‘Yeah, it snowed all night probably, everything is under a huge white blanket, I don’t even think people can drive with the streets like that.’
The younger sets his hot chocolate on the tray and takes a pancake, eating half of it with one bite, Hoseok snorts - ‘So that’s it, we’re staying in bed all day.’ - Somehow no bits of pancake fall off his mouth.
His boyfriend mirrors him, also eating a pancake - ‘Not like we’ve been doing much besides that, right?’ - Hoseok smirks.
Jeongguk eats the other half of the pancake with another bite - you’re a monster, Gukk - and giggles.
After making lunch - with various protests coming from Jeongguk, who voted for skipping the meal and staying under the blankets - they ate their plates of pasta on the living room, talking occasionally, leaning on each other. They washed the dishes, brushed their teeth and went back to their room to see if they could find something new to watch on Netflix, which was unlikely at this point, but it doesn’t hurt to try.
They end up rewatching some random series. Jeongguks face is hidden on Hoseoks neck, his legs under Hoseoks skinny ones, who is hugging the younger, tracing circles with his fingers on his back.
It’s warm, comfortable, safe. Jeongguk couldn’t ask for a better man to love.
