Work Text:
Leaving the comfort of her home may not have been the easiest thing to do, but it was a bit of an adventure, and still less daunting than other things she'd done recently. In the end, though, she was surprised at quickly she adapted.
U.A. being turned into a boarding school led Momo to discover a certain number of things. Before she knew it, she was keeping a count of them at the back of her mind, perks and tidbits of information she'd aquired over the days.
The list had eleven distinct items so far, eleven things she'd learned and would try not to forget no matter what happened.
#1
Itsuka loved coffee, the darker the better, and would not even consider breakfast without it. So Momo made sure to ask her parents for the best brand and gifted her some. She somehow survived the experience – Kendou's hugs were always stronger than intended when you surprised her, to the point of nearly choking her target – and lived to enjoy coffee-flavoured kisses for another while.
#2
Being in different dorms did not mean you couldn't sneak out in the middle of the night, but it didn't mean that you should, and they were both too well-behaved for that kind of misdemeanor anyways.
It also didn't mean that they couldn't think about doing it, though, and maybe even pretend to plan it, and at some point Itsuka got so into it that Momo half-expected her to show up in her bedroom.
#3
You didn't need to sneak out if you were already in each other's bedroom at the start of curfew.
#4
Making out did indeed taste even better when you weren't supposed to be doing it.
#5
Not having a hall for her study sessions didn't mean that Momo couldn't organise them from her bedroom, Itsuka lying with her head on her lap, Kyouka smirking at them from the other side of the bed, Kaminari, Sero and Mina cramped up on the floor but still giving it their best, Ojiro preferring to stand up by the door but still smiling fondly.
#6
You would soon feel better about all the events that had led to U.A. being made into a boarding school in the first place if you had someone to sleep by your side.
#7
A common living area could be both a blessing and a curse, but once again, that couch, even if it would remain inferior to the ones at home, did feel nice when Momo's arms were wrapped around Itsuka's shoulders.
#8
Mineta could always be punched away, especially when one's girlfriend's Quirk led her to manifest a giant fist.
Also: it was a glorious sight (Kyouka actually clapped).
#9
Monoma could always be karate-chopped whenever he tried to remark on Itsuka's so called “betrayal” of her class.
Although, in the end, it turned out that once was enough.
Maybe because Momo had also devoted a bit of her time to threatening him with her staff, so he knew what he exposed himself to should he choose to continue. (She'd modeled her murderous face after Bakugou's.)
#10
If teachers pointed out that maybe Itsuka shouldn't be spending so much time in 1-A's dorm, especially as class President, and that conversedly Momo should probably not be staying in 1-B's space either, their combined charms would prevent them from being scolded too severely.
Surprisingly, this also worked on Aizawa.
It probably helped that their grades were holding up.
#11
Boarding-school life wasn't bad at all, as long as Momo's friends were there.
And as long as she got her fair share of coffee-flavoured kisses throughout the day.
