Summary
Valkyries do not cry.
And aside from a single tear, the one in his arms doesn’t either. He had stolen Lagertha from the All Father himself, and he had taken her wings when he made her his wife. She gave up immortality to be with him because she had wished to know the thing the humans called love. Odin had warned her of the pain that comes with it, but she had still made the choice, because she had felt she was in love already.
This is what happens when a Valkyrie falls in love with a mortal man.
