Work Text:
Jimin wakes up to a dragon egg in his bed. He’s feeling around for his phone when he feels the hard, scaly shell. He blinks sleep out of his eyes to make sure he’s not seeing things when he sits up and looks at it. He goes to rub his eyes when he sees the dark mark on the back of his hand that pretty much confirms it, a dragon.
Jimin knows the history. Everyone has to study it in school. Dragon eggs used to materialize for their chosen riders. As soon as the egg was touched, a mark bonding the dragon to the rider was forever inked into the skin of the rider, usually on the wrist or hand. That’s how it used to be, at least, but that hasn’t happened in hundreds of years.
Humans were awful to dragons and almost drove them to extinction by fighting them against each other in a quest for power. There hasn’t been a rider in many years, but old dragons are very much still around, outliving their riders by thousands of years.
Nowadays Jimin only hears about dragons in the context of illegal pet trade or underground fight clubs, but most rescued dragons live in a sanctuary outside the city where they have trainers look after them despite no riders still living.
Jimin doesn’t know much about dragons other than that or how they even pick their riders, but looking at the small red egg, he guesses he’ll have to learn.
He doesn’t think he’s really supposed to keep a dragon, especially in the dorm, since having them in captivity is well, mostly illegal, but Jimin doesn’t think that law really applies to him. He has the mark after all, and the egg is so small—does anyone really have to know?
Jimin holds the egg close, keeping it warm because that’s what he feels like he should be doing? He doesn’t really know. Jimin bites his lip and wraps the egg in his blanket carefully, finding his phone to make a few internet searches.
The internet isn’t exactly helpful. There hasn’t been an egg in hundreds of years, so what he does find is from a very old translation of a very old manuscript of a rider’s journal. They describe boiling the egg in water, but to Jimin that seems extreme, and he doesn’t know if he trusts that not to hurt the poor egg. He doesn’t want to do anything that could harm the baby inside.
Jimin just goes to find another blanket to wrap around it and turns on the heater. He’s glad he doesn’t have roommates this year because they would definitely complain.

Yoongi spends all his time with dragons, rescuing them and training them. It’s hard to want to leave the sanctuary when most of the time he does, it’s to see the atrocities of the human race.
Yoongi hesitates in even saying those people are a part of the same species as him when he’s seen what they’ve done to the dragons. There’s no humanity in it at all.
Dragons can be very loyal, and that can be dangerous when their rider, the one they connect to the most, is gone. They’ll latch onto any human that spends enough time with them, even if it’s just some sick fuck who will put them in a small cage to win a fight for money.
Yoongi has seen it all, and sometimes he wishes dragons weren’t that way so they’d just burn the people who do that to them to a crisp, but the evil was never in the dragons, it was always the humans, even all the way back then.
He’s nursed several dragons back from near death and even had to watch some of them die helplessly. So he’s never eager to leave the sanctuary and go deal with members of his own species, but when his mentor at the sanctuary, an old man who has taught him everything he knows about dragons, tells him to go home Yoongi knows it’s gotten a little ridiculous.
“Yoongi-yah, you’re young and handsome. You can’t live the rest of your life with dragons. You have to go home and meet someone,” he says and Yoongi quietly thinks that he can and will live the rest of his life with dragons.
The nagging becomes more frequent though, and Yoongi knows his mentor only wants what is best for him.
“Yoongi-yah, what is the point of paying rent in the city if you’re never there? We agreed two weeks on and two weeks off, what is this? You’ve been here 3 months straight. Go on and take that time off, the dragons will still be here when you get back!”
“3 months? No, what will you do without me?” Yoongi asks cheekily and their eldest dragon, Yoona, huffs amusedly as Yoongi continues to pet her scales. Yoongi grins at her before turning to look at his mentors unamused face.
“Get some peace and quiet for once. You will be on a flight tomorrow or I’m making it four months and without pay,” he says sternly
Yoongi sighs, agreeing finally.

Jimin has just come back from morning class when the egg starts to hatch. He watches, amazed, as the tiny red dragon emerges, leaving a goop-y, eggy mess in its wake, but that’s okay because the dragon is so cute and tiny and perfect. He can change his bed sheets easily.
“Oh, look at you, you did so great. I was starting to wonder if you’d ever hatch,” Jimin says, thinking about the past few months the egg has been buried in blankets on his bed.
Jimin places his finger near the head of the dragon and it rests its tiny head on his fingertip. Jimin giggles and falls a little bit in love.
“How do you feel about a bath...uh? Oh, I don’t have a name for you…”
Nara , a voice sounds in his head and Jimin’s eyes widen at the dragon.
“Is that you? You can understand me?”
Yes, our minds are one as intended.
Jimin doesn’t really know what to make of that, so he kind of just accepts it. Nara has to know more about this than he does, somehow. Well, she did magically materialize in front of him as an egg so Jimin wouldn’t say it’s out of the realm of possibility that she’s born knowing things. It’s good, hopefully that means Jimin won’t be completely lost during all this.
Jimin gives Nara a bath and she hisses at him, but she’s all goop-y and he can’t leave her like that. She splashes him with her thin wing that doesn’t look like it could support her even as tiny as she is now. When he wraps her in a big white fluffy towel, she licks his cheek with her little tongue and Jimin laughs.
He changes his sheets, cleaning up the egg mess before he puts her on the bed.
Hungry.
Jimin is surprised when she says it, still not used to her speaking in his mind. He feels bad he didn’t think to feed her before, but he’s still not really sure what she eats. He carries her to the kitchen area and opens the fridge. She seems on a mission when she goes after a carton of banana milk.
“You want that?...Are you sure that’s good for you? I don’t want to make you sick, Nara.”
Yes, is all she says and Jimin sighs, getting the feeling that she doesn’t really know. He opens it and pours it into a bowl for her to drink out of, hoping it won’t make her sick.
She laps at it happily when he sets her on the counter. Jimin thinks it’s adorable, but he’s struck with a thought, what is he going to do with her while he’s in class? She can’t just stay here. What if she needs something?
Jimin thinks it’s about time he tells someone about her, so maybe they can babysit her? Jimin really doesn’t want to leave her alone though.
“Nara, how do you feel about taking a ride in my bag?”
#
Jimin goes to the public library down the street to see if he can find anything on dragons. He tells Nara to stay hidden in his bookbag, and that’s really all he can do for right now. He guesses he’ll see how good she is at listening. Is it babies that are defiant or is that just teenagers? Jimin doesn’t know.
The library is basically empty despite it being early afternoon. Jimin sits at a computer with his bag in his lap, scared something will happen to Nara if he leaves it at all out of his reach. Nara sticks her head out.
“Nara! You have to stay hidden,” Jimin whispers. “Please, I’m sorry, it’s only for a little while. I’ll give you more banana milk if you’re good.”
Jimin looks up a dragon’s diet, and only finds that they’re big fruit and vegetation eaters and don’t require that much water. It’s important not to give them too much water apparently because it fills them up without providing any nutrients. It doesn’t really differentiate between adult and baby dragons so Jimin hopes it’s just the same across the board.
He hears Nara growl in his bag and tries to hurry but he wants to look at books first to see if there’s more info there, so he shushes her with several apologies.
Jimin gets up to walk to the front desk cradling his bag in his arms. There’s a guy in a whole lot of leather just standing there, leaning against the desk, and he’s kind of intimidating, but Hoseok is on desk duty and he’s always really nice to Jimin.
“Jimin-ah! What can I help you with?” Hoseok asks pleasantly.
“Hi, I was wondering if you had any books with information, like in really depth information, on how to take care of a dragon?” Jimin asks, hopefully not too suspiciously. He doesn’t have a dragon in his bag, nope, not at all.
“Oh! It’s funny you should ask. Yoongi-hyung works at the sanctuary! I’m sure he wouldn’t mind if you wanted to pick his brain about them, right, hyung?” Hoseok asks the guy in leather before turning back to Jimin. “I’m assuming this is for a paper or something?”
“Y-yeah!” Jimin says and he looks at Yoongi who is probably the best person he could ask. Yoongi is giving him a suspicious look though, and Jimin is already nervous Nara is going to give them away.
Rider Jimin’s heart is beating so fast. Rider Jimin likes Yoongi? Nara’s voice is saying in his head. I want to see!
“No!” Jimin shouts before promptly shutting his mouth at Yoongi and Hoseok’s alarmed faces. “I mean, I just realized I left the oven on. Is there any way I could get your number, Yoongi-ssi?” Jimin asks, thinking it’s the smoothest save he’s ever thought of on a whim.
“Uh, okay?” Yoongi says, and the fact that he thinks Jimin is weird comes across clearly in his voice. Thanks, Nara, Jimin thinks, for making me look like an idiot in front of someone he’s never met before. Great first impression.
Jimin hands over his phone wordlessly after pulling up a new contact. Yoongi puts in his number, and goes to hand the phone back over before he hesitates.
“Nice tattoo,” Yoongi says and Jimin blushes, pulling his sweater over the hand that has the dragon mark and hoping Yoongi doesn’t see a difference between his mark and the ink that’s on his own hands. He takes his phone.
“Thanks,” Jimin says, and Hoseok is leaning over at that.
“You got a tattoo, Jimin-ah? You? You’re the last person I’d expect. What’s it of? Is it recent?”
“Yes, I, uh, it’s a dragon. It’s a few months old now,” Jimin explains to Hoseok, hoping he doesn’t ask him more questions and rope him into a conversation Jimin can’t get out of. “Sorry, I’d love to stay, hyung, but I have to go!” Jimin says and he’s backing away slowly with his bag in his arms.
As soon as he thinks he’s out of sight he puts a strap on his shoulder.
“I’m sorry, Nara, this was a terrible idea. I’ll figure something else out for when I go to class, I promise. I-” Jimin is saying, but out of the corner of his eye he sees Yoongi standing there within hearing distance, listening to him talk to his bag. “Uh?”
“Dragons are illegal to keep captive. I don’t know why you think you can learn to take care of one just because you have some relatively new obsession. They’re not just some pet you can toss in your bag and take to the library,” Yoongi says sternly. “I should report you.”
“Wait! No, please, I,” Jimin stutters, panicked, and that’s when Nara sticks her head out of the bag and hisses at Yoongi.
I don’t like him! He scares Rider Jimin!
“No, Nara! Don’t come out. It’s okay, I’ve got this,” Jimin tells her quietly, trying to reassure her and himself. He coaxes her back into his bag and turns back to Yoongi. “She’s mine. She came to me. I mean, I know it sounds crazy, but I’m her rider. So please, please, don’t report us. I mean, she’s just a baby—she only just hatched today. She’s still learning, but we won’t do anything bad,” Jimin tries to assure Yoongi. He’s not about to just give Nara up, not when he’s already bonded with her.
Yoongi looks skeptical. “You’re going to have to start from the beginning.”
Jimin sighs.
“Okay, but can we go back to my place first? It’s down the street. Nara wants to come out of the bag.”
Yoongi nods and lets him lead the way to his dorm. He lets them in and bites his lip at the state of his living space. He isn’t exactly prepared for company in his small dorm. The bowl of milk Nara was drinking from is still partially full on the counter and Jimin feels like a bad parent with child services coming to review his baby’s living situation. Yoongi doesn’t say anything though, not even when Jimin places Nara back on the counter to drink from the bowl again when she says she’s hungry. Yoongi sits on a bar stool to watch.
“I didn’t really know what I should be feeding her, but she seems to like banana milk. I don’t know if it’s really good for her though,” Jimin says to Yoongi, worrying his lower lip.
Feels good. Tastes good, Nara supplies helpfully and Jimin giggles at her.
“Can you—are you able to speak with her?” Yoongi asks, in awe.
“Is that not normal?” Jimin asks.
“I wouldn’t know. I’ve never met a rider before. They’re all dead. At least, they were all dead, but now there’s you...apparently. I’ve always kind of felt like I could communicate with the ones at the sanctuary that I spent the most time with. It might have something to do with the bond,” Yoongi offers.
“Oh,” Jimin says and Nara stops drinking to crawl up his arm. It tickles a little.
Yoongi knows dragons? He rides them?
“Uh, I don’t know.” Jimin looks up at Yoongi who’s staring at him differently. “Nara wants to know if you ride the dragons.”
“Sometimes, if they let me. Can I hold her?” Yoongi asks, getting up to walk around to stand next to Jimin.
Yes, Rider Yoongi can hold me.
And apparently all Nara needed to know to like Yoongi was that he rides dragons. Jimin isn’t so easily won over. He places a hand over her back where she’s still clutching to his arm.
“I don’t know about that,” Jimin says, weary.
“Nara, may I hold you?” Yoongi asks, and Jimin narrows his eyes at him.
Yes! Nara says and she’s smiling with tiny teeth.
“What does she say?” Yoongi asks, smirking, like he knows the answer. Jimin huffs, handing her over. Yoongi is careful with her, holding her with two hands.
Jimin can’t help but feel nervous even though he’s only known Nara for a few hours, he would be devastated if something happened to Nara or if Yoongi took her from him. He knows the bond runs deep with how they share a mind, but Jimin thinks it’d be his heart that would break if Yoongi stole her away.
I like him! Rider Yoongi is safe and warm!
“What a good girl,” Yoongi coos at her. “So smart already. Her coloring is gorgeous, just like your hair. I, uh, I mean—”
Jimin blushes. “I know what you mean,” Jimin says shyly.
“Yeah, well, you are pretty, your hair! I meant your hair, you know what? Yep, I’m just going to shut up now,” Yoongi stutters out and glues his eyes to Nara. Jimin thinks it’s so cute and such a contrast from his intimidating leather outfit.
Rider Yoongi likes you! His heart is racing! Rider Yoongi is your mate?
Jimin wants to laugh at Nara’s naivety. “Nara, be good!”
“Oh, is she saying something?” Yoongi asks, stroking her little head gently.
“Nothing important.”
“Okay, so, are you going to tell me how you became her rider?” Yoongi asks curiously and Jimin remembers that’s the whole reason he’s here.
“Right,” Jimin says before launching into the whole story about how the egg came to him in his sleep, and how he kept it in his bed even after reading journal translations about boiling it to get it to hatch.
“Oh, yeah that’s probably for the best that you didn’t boil her. I don’t know how accurate journals are online. We’ve never had any dragons under 200 years old in the sanctuary; there isn’t any dragons under that age around, or so everyone thought. So I don’t know a lot about juveniles, but I can ask my mentor if he knows anything in particular, but I can’t imagine it’s that much different.”
I want to go to the sanctuary! Nara says and Jimin feels a pang of sadness at the realization that she might have to. He can’t exactly take care of her here while he has class. Nara must sense it because she tries to wiggle out of Yoongi’s hands to get to Jimin.
“Whoa there Nara, your wings aren’t ready to carry you just yet,” Yoongi says and he brings her back to Jimin who holds her close to his chest.
Rider Jimin will come with us, of course. I won’t leave without Rider Jimin!
“O-okay, Yoongi-ssi?”
“I’m pretty sure you can call me hyung.”
“Right, Yoongi-hyung? What am I supposed to do? I have classes and I can’t just leave her, and I don’t want to bring her in my bag again. She’ll get restless, and I know she’s going to grow fast. She’ll probably outgrow my bag anyway. And then I don’t even know what to feed her, and she says she wants us both to take her to the sanctuary and I can’t—”
“Whoa, whoa, take a deep breath, Jimin,” Yoongi says, grabbing his shoulder where Jimin’s sweater is slipping down to give it a comforting squeeze.
Rider Jimin, don’t be scared! Rider Yoongi will help!
“Oh,” Yoongi says shocked. “I can hear her when I touch you.”
“What? How?” Jimin asks because if Nara did something weird and bonded all three of them together then Jimin doesn’t know how the hell this is going to work.
I didn’t do anything! Nara cries. Rider Yoongi formed the connection. It is only temporary until he let’s go of Rider Jimin’s bare skin.
“Sorry,” Yoongi says and finally lets go of Jimin’s shoulder.
Jimin shifts Nara to one hand so he can adjust his sweater, blushing and feeling a little exposed.
So Rider Jimin does like Rider Yoongi? Nara laughs and Jimin thinks she’s too young to be this much of a snake.
“It’s okay,” Jimin says to Yoongi.
“Anyway, I think I have a solution to your problem. I don’t know if you’ll be comfortable with it since we just met and all, but Nara could stay with me at my apartment, with you, too, of course! You could both stay, so I can watch her when you have to leave for class. It’s not a permanent solution, but I think it could work until Nara gets bigger. I mean, if you’re not comfortable with that, that’s okay, too. We can always figure something else out.”
Jimin knows he might be dooming himself a little, but he agrees.
#
Living with Yoongi in his nice apartment isn’t as awkward as Jimin thought it would be. There’s a guest room, so Jimin and Nara get their own space. The only downside is that it’s further away from campus, but Jimin doesn’t mind taking the bus, especially when he gets to come home to Yoongi already making dinner for them.
Jimin told Yoongi early on that he didn’t have to cook for him, it’s already too much that he’s letting him live here rent free and he’s taking good care of Nara when Jimin isn’t around. Yoongi claims to enjoy it though, bored now that he’s been ‘exiled’ from the sanctuary as he puts it. Nara is already getting bigger, pretty much medium cat sized at this point. Jimin loves her so much. He can’t imagine life without her.
Jimin wakes up one Saturday, bed head still in place, and Nara isn’t in bed with him. He creeps out of bed to go find her only to see Yoongi awake, shirtless with all of his ink on display, throwing Nara cherry tomatoes to try to get her to jump off the counter and use her wings. Yoongi’s been trying to train her, but Nara is stubborn, and basically only uses his ‘exercises’ to get more food. Jimin watches from the doorway, feeling extra fond of the moment—and of Nara and of Yoongi—actually a lot of fondness for Yoongi. Like past the ‘this is a crush I can ignore’ levels of fondness.
Nara teases him to no end about his feelings toward Yoongi, and considering Jimin had just given Yoongi blanket permission to touch him to talk to Nara properly and how comfortable Yoongi has gotten in doing so, he’s surprised Yoongi hasn’t heard about it. Nara claims Yoongi likes him, too, but Jimin is way too shy to say anything about it to him, no matter how close they’ve gotten from living together and spending their nights hanging out.
“Nara, honey, stop pretending like you’re going to jump just to get food. Don’t be greedy,” Jimin says finally, startling Yoongi from where he was about to feed her another tomato.
“Morning, Jimin-ah, you’re up early,” Yoongi greets, giving Nara the last tomato before putting them away.
“I could say the same to you, hyung.”
“Oh, yeah, I just went for a run. It’s been awhile since I got some fresh air,” Yoongi says and it’s like he only then just realizes he’s half naked. “Sorry, I should go put on a shirt.”
“It’s your house, hyung, you don’t have to if you don’t want to. It’s not like I mind if you don’t,” Jimin says before he realizes what it sounds like. “O-oh, I mean, I, uh, I’m going to go back to sleep for awhile.” Jimin doesn’t look up to see Yoongi’s widened eyes or Nara’s smirk. He backtracks to his room to go try to pretend that didn’t happen.
#
Yoongi’s been living with Jimin for 2 and a half months. His time off is rapidly dwindling and he can’t believe it, but he doesn’t want it to end. Spending time with Jimin and Nara is like getting the best of both worlds, and he’s never been more grateful to his mentor for making him take time off.
Nara is pretty self sufficient now, and Jimin and he have talked about transitioning her to the sanctuary but not any time soon. She hasn’t outgrown his apartment yet, and Jimin, understandably, isn’t ready to part with her for any extended periods of time. It wouldn’t be easy or economically feasible for him to travel back and forth between the city and the sanctuary just for a weekend, so he’d have to wait to get time off.
Yoongi doesn’t want to see them apart for any extended length of time either. He knows how hard for them it would be, and so he agrees easily to just let them stay together in his apartment even when he has to leave for his two weeks of work. Jimin had been hesitant to agree to staying here without Yoongi, but Yoongi doesn’t want them to go back to Jimin’s tiny dorm.
It’ll be bittersweet for him to go back to work and leave them, but he doesn’t want it to disrupt the progress they’ve made together as a unit. Yoongi especially doesn’t want it to disrupt his relationship with Jimin that’s teetering on the edge of something more than just close friends and housemates.
He knows he can’t just put everything on pause and expect everything to be the same when he gets back two weeks later, so Yoongi looks at his dwindling time and uses it as a motivator to quit being a scaredy cat. He has to establish his relationship with Jimin.
Yoongi knows it’s as simple as having a conversation with Jimin and asking the right questions, but he wants to make it special for them. So when Jimin goes to class, Yoongi lays out some food and water for Nara, giving her a blanket and explaining what he’s doing. He knows she can understand him, and sometimes Yoongi swears he can read her facial expressions. Right now, she’s smiling, probably because she knows Yoongi is about to pull his head out of his ass and do something about his feelings.
Yoongi goes into town and goes to a jewelry store, already having an idea of what he wants. Jimin always wears a whole bunch of rings and Yoongi has played with them enough to know what size they are roughly. His idea is just to get him a plain band, nothing too flashy, he isn’t proposing after all, but he sees a ring that has a dragon on it. He’s immediately sold because it even kind of looks like Nara, and he knows Jimin will love it. He doesn’t even care that it’s more money than he came to spend. He knows Jimin will wear it proudly.
#
Yoongi is kind of nervous when Jimin gets home from class. He’s already ordered Jimin’s favorite instead of cooking, even though he knows Jimin appreciates his cooking. He was just feeling jittery and afraid he’d mess it up.
Of course, Nara has to go and steal his thunder because just when Yoongi has paid the delivery man and brought the food inside, she flies for the first time, straight into Jimin’s arms.
Jimin is so shocked, and Yoongi knew this whole time she could do it, that she was waiting, and of all times she had to pick now. Still, Yoongi is really proud so he sets the food down and walks over to Jimin so he can pet her.
“You did so good, Nara,” Yoongi says and both Jimin and Nara preen. Yoongi smiles before touching Jimin’s wrist to hear what Nara is saying.
Rider Yoongi and Rider Jimin will mate tonight!
Yoongi chokes, and Jimin turns so red.
“Nara!” Jimin scolds, and Nara smiles and buries her head in Jimin’s chest, her mirth audible. “I’m sorry, hyung, I don’t know what’s gotten into her.”
“No, I think that’s my fault actually, Jimin-ah.”
“Wait, what? You told her we were going to mate tonight?!” Jimin shrieks and Yoongi laughs, scratching the back of his neck.
“No, of course not, but I told her I was going out to get you something, and well, I think I made it pretty clear that I didn’t intend it to be a platonic gift when I was telling her about it.”
Yoongi watches Jimin’s eyes widen and his plush lips part in surprise.
“Oh,” he says and he blushes a little. “What did you get me, hyung?”
Yoongi pulls the ring out of the back of his pocket, and Jimin moves to put Nara down before he takes it from him. The look on his face when he realizes what it is makes it all worth it. He looks ecstatic for a second, and then Jimin’s eyes look like they’re watering.
“What? Oh my God, don’t cry, Jimin-ah. You don’t like it? Please tell me those are happy tears,” Yoongi says, holding Jimin’s chubby cheeks with his hands.
“No, I love it, hyung, it’s perfect. It’s the best gift I’ve ever gotten,” Jimin chuckles wetly and he leans in and purses his lips for a gentle kiss. Yoongi presses their lips together over and over, drying Jimin’s eyes with his thumbs.
“Don’t cry, baby, let’s eat, okay?”
#
The next day, Nara literally won’t stop blowing smoke at Yoongi. Every time he gets close after Jimin speaks with her and leaves for class, she looks angry.
Yoongi really wants to know what he did. He thought she was on board with him and Jimin getting together. He doesn’t know what’s changed between last night, when she went to sleep with Jimin in his room after Yoongi had kissed him goodnight at his bedroom door like a sap, and just now.
It’s a long day with her, and Yoongi really wishes they could communicate properly without Jimin. They sit on opposite ends of the couch and watch tv all day. Yoongi doesn’t even attempt any flying exercises with her since she seems to be in such a foul mood.
Jimin is all smiles when he gets home, giving Yoongi a kiss hello in the kitchen.
“I’ve been wanting to do that all day, hyung,” Jimin says before he goes to set his stuff down and say hello to Nara.
“Hey, Jimin-ah, I need you for a second to talk to Nara. She’s been mad at me all day for some reason and I want to know why,” Yoongi says outstretching a hand for Jimin’s so he can finally hear the dragon’s words.
“Oh, I know why. Sorry, hyung, that’s my fault. I, uh, may have told her that she would be sleeping alone tonight,” Jimin says sheepishly.
“What?” Yoongi asks. “She can sleep with me if you don’t want her in the bed with you anymore. I know she’s getting kind of big, and the bed in that room isn’t as big as mine.”
Nara smiles and turns to Jimin to huff smoke at him when Yoongi says that.
“No, hyung, it’s not that! I just thought that we could spend the night together tonight,” Jimin says and Yoongi’s mouth forms a perfect ‘O’. “Only if you want to, hyung!”
“Sorry, Nara,” Yoongi says and Nara just grumbles at them both, nuzzling into the couch and closing her eyes, like she’s being kicked out of bed to sleep on the couch or something even though that isn’t the case at all.
#
After Jimin really earns his ‘Rider’ name, they’re both spent. They trade lazy kisses and Jimin traces Yoongi’s tattoos, humming softly. Yoongi let’s go of where he’s holding Jimin, and starts to get out of bed.
“Where are you going?” Jimin asks, sitting up.
“To open the door in case Nara wants to come in,” Yoongi explains.
“Hyung! We’re naked!” Jimin complains.
“So, Jimin-ah, she’s a dragon,” Yoongi says and opens the door to find Nara lying just outside of it, looking pathetic. “Come on, you’re insufferable. There’s room on the bed…at the bottom.”
“Hyung, Nara wants me to tell you that she doesn’t like when you treat her like a common dog, but she knows that you love her.”
Yoongi sighs.
