Summary
This was a story I started writing three years ago and then abandoned it. After replaying Mass Effect 2, I decided to finish it.
While on a mission to recover a supply cache, Shepard uses an untested heavy weapon with unexpected results. The blast from the weapon ends up shorting out the squad's translators. Shepard finds the situation annoying, but manageable. During this time, Shepard feels compelled to reveal her true feelings for Garrus, knowing he cannot understand her. Or can he?
