"I'm home!"
Park Jimin threw himself into the waiting arms of his roommate and best friend, Jeon Jungkook, and they flopped down onto the couch together.
"How was it, hyung?" Jungkook asked, gently carding his fingers through Jimin's hair. "I have both the Celebratory Champagne and the Cheer-up Cocoa. Which one do we need to use?"
Jimin glared at the other boy and shoved his shoulder. "Really? You prepared both of them? You have so little faith in me that you actually made the Cheer-up Cocoa ahead of time?" Jungkook just shrugged.
"I'll just drink the cocoa by myself if it's not needed," he said lightly. "So, which is it, hyung?"
Jimin stared for a second before sighing. "The Cheer-up Cocoa," he admitted, reaching out for the mug that Jungkook somehow already had in his hand. The two boys sat up, nursing their hot chocolates as Jungkook patiently waited to hear the story. That was the third date that Jimin had gone on with Yoon Jiho.
After finishing his cocoa, Jimin finally spoke. "He told me that it wasn't going to work out," he sighed. "We had barely even sat down and he was already telling me that he didn't actually have interest in me, he was just 'experimenting.' Seriously, the guy probably should've realized not to put that he was looking for something serious with a guy on his profile if he was just bi-curious."
Jungkook patted the older boy's back, softly rubbing circles into it. "You're too good for everyone Jiminie hyung," he said sympathetically. "I don't get how all the assholes have the balls to hurt such an amazing person like you."
Jimin shrugged and snuggled closer to the younger boy. "I don't know," he murmured. "Apparently I only attract assholes."
Jungkook gazed down at his best friend, small and defeated, curled up by his side. His eyes traveled over thick locks of golden hair, soft cheeks, shining eyes, and plump lips. The features of the person he loved.
"You attracted me," he whispered. "And I sure hope I'm not an asshole." Jimin smiled up at him, his eyes curving into crescents before he buried his face into the younger boy's chest.
"You're not," he assured him, "Not even close." Jungkook smiled slightly at that before he spoke again.
"Okay, it's time to stop moping," he said, standing up and offering and hand to pull Jimin up. "How about some Cheer-up Karaoke?"
The older boy giggled. "That's not an alliteration," he protested, although he was still smiling. "You have to fix it now." Jungkook exaggeratedly thought for a moment.
"Carefree Karaoke, then," he corrected himself. "To let your worries go for now and aggressively sing until four AM or when the neighbors complain, whichever comes first." Jimin beamed at him.
"Sounds great," he said, before they set off to aggressively sing BigBang songs until four AM or when the neighbors complained, whichever one came first.
That was not the first time Jungkook told Jimin he was attracted to him, or loved him, or something of that sort. Not by a long shot.
The first time it happened was when Jimin was a senior, a few weeks before graduation.
The two boys had been lying next to each other on Jimin's bed, full from stuffing their face with various snacks from the older boy's pantry.
Jungkook had rolled over to stare at his hyung, who was gazing at the ceiling, lost in thought. His hair had been splayed out on the bed, soft blond locks framing his face. The light from the bedroom window had filtered in and landed on the older boy, making it seem like he was glowing. Like an angel, Jungkook had thought.
Now, Jungkook had been in love with Jimin since the day they had met in middle school. Jungkook had seen that beautiful and angelic boy beaming at him when their friends introduced them, and he already knew he was done for.
Four years of close friendship, the two boys becoming self-proclaimed Best Friends Forever, led to that very moment, Jungkook gazing at the angelic boy laying on the bed beside him.
And in that moment, Jeon Jungkook decided to risk everything.
"Hey, hyung," he had murmured, waiting for the other boy to roll over and face him. "I want to tell you something."
Jimin had propped his head up on his hand. "Hmm," he had hummed slightly to indicate that he was listening.
"I like you," he had whispered, barely more than a breath, his cheeks turning pink from the confession.
Jimin had tilted his head to the side then, confused. "Of course," he had replied. "I sure hope so, considering we're best friends. I like you too."
Jungkook shook his head. Jimin wasn't getting it. "No, not like that," he had said in an attempt to try again. "I like like you. As in I think you're beautiful and sweet and perfect and I kinda want to date you."
Jimin had stared at the younger boy, who was holding his breath, for a few seconds before whispering back a weak, "I'm sorry."
Jungkook had forced a smile for the sake of the older, trying to pretend everything was okay, when in reality, he felt like his heart was being ripped in two. He had fumbled out an apology and an excuse to leave before exiting the house as quickly as he could.
Although things were tense for a little bit, the two boys sorted everything out by the time Jimin's graduation rolled around. Jimin let Jungkook down as gently as he possibly could, and Jungkook decided to live with it. Both of them agreed to remain best friends, and if anything, their friendship strengthened since the confession.
That was seven years ago.
Since then, Jungkook reminded Jimin that he loved him practically every week, and would sometimes drunkenly ask him out (whether he was drunk on alcohol or pure loneliness, it was still the same). Jimin would just wave it off with a smile and a laugh, and the two would carry on with their lives.
Sometimes, Jimin felt guilty that he didn't feel the same way towards his best friend. A few years ago, he would hear the younger boy crying sometimes from down the hall or Namjoon and Jin, two of their other close friends, quietly comforting him. But he couldn't control his feelings. It wasn't his fault that if a tall, muscled man with messy brown hair and a sharp jawline walked by, he would want to date him rather than Jungkook.
Jimin chasing after other men and Jungkook watching, cheering, and helping from the sidelines, ready to sweep up the pieces when the older boy's heart ended up broken. That's just how it was.
The two best friends were out on their bi-weekly coffee date at their local Starbucks. Jimin carefully sipped his chai latte, cupping the warm container to try and heat up his cold hands. Jungkook sat across from him, fingers wrapped tight around a mocha cappuccino, whipped cream slightly smudged on his upper lip.
"You've got a little something there," Jimin said, about to reach out and help wipe the whipped cream off when the bell rang above the door and someone walked in. Apparently, it was someone that Jungkook recognized, considering the way that he suddenly jumped up and away from Jimin's outstretched hand.
Jungkook stared in disbelief at the handsome man who now stood in line, waiting to order. Was that...? It really looked like him. Him being Jungkook's childhood best friend, before he moved away to Daegu.
Kim Taehyung.
Jimin watched from the booth as Jungkook strode up to the definitely handsome silver-haired stranger that had walked in and struck up a conversation.
"Taehyung?" Jungkook asked tentatively. "Kim Taehyung?" The silver-haired man turned around at the sound of his name and his eyes widened, lips spreading into a wide grin.
"Jungkookie!" he squealed happily, gathering the younger boy into a hug that was gladly returned. The two embraced for a few seconds before Taehyung pulled away to assess Jungkook's appearance.
"You look amazing, man," he said, awed. "So much better than that little coconut-haired Kook I used to know. Except--" Taehyung reached out to wipe off the whipped cream that Jungkook still had on his upper lip.
"Oh, thanks hyung," Jungkook said, swiping the back of his hand across his mouth again just in case. "And you, too. Thank god you fixed whatever strange wannabe afro haircut you had before. That was a disaster. And now look, it's silver. An old man already?" They both chuckled at that.
"So, what brought you to Seoul?" Jungkook asked as they moved up in line.
"Oh, I got a job opportunity up here. I was hoping to kind of go into the show biz, since I've always loved acting, and a company called me to come check out the auditions."
"Wow, that's great, hyung! I'm so glad you are doing well."
"How about you, Kookie? What took you away from Busan?"
"Oh, I moved here with my best friend for college, and we just stayed here even after we graduated."
"Best friend? I've been replaced so soon?"
"...Twelve years. It's been twelve years. I hardly think that's 'soon.'"
The two men finally reached the front of the line, where Taehyung ordered a mocha cappuccino.
"Hey, that's what I got too," Jungkook said, smiling. "I guess we still have the same taste in things. Oh! And I should probably introduce you to the guy who replaced you."
Jungkook led Taehyung back to the booth where Jimin was waiting.
Jimin had been watching the whole exchange, narrowing his eyes slightly when Taehyung had wiped away the whipped cream. I was the one who was supposed to do that, he had thought. He watched the way the two of them laughed so easily with each other, huffing when Taehyung called the other boy "Kook" and "Jungkookie," names that Jimin would like to think were reserved for him to use.
When the two younger boys sat down, Jungkook beamed at Jimin across the table. "Jiminie," he said happily (the older melting slightly at the nickname), "This is Kim Taehyung. He was my best friend back before I met you. You guys are the same age. Tae, this is Park Jimin, my current best friend who has now replaced you." Jimin smiled to himself at the last comment as Taehyung lightly shoved Jungkook.
The three of them chatted for a few minutes, or rather, Jungkook and Taehyung laughed at ancient inside jokes while Jimin listened (how they still remembered any of that was beyond him). Then the barista called for a "Tea Hung" to pick up their cappuccino, to which Jungkook offered to get it so the other two could "get acquainted."
When Jungkook left the table, Jimin swung his gaze to the boy across from him. It was time for an interrogation. Why Jimin was feeling so hostile, he didn't know. It must be BFF protection protocol or something, and his instincts were kicking in. Whatever.
"So, Taehyung," he began. "What's your deal with Kookie?" Taehyung looked slightly taken aback by the cold tone and straight-to-the-point attitude, but he just slipped into an easy grin.
"I dunno," he said, shrugging lightly. "I just wanted to catch up with him after twelve years. He was my best friend, after all."
Jimin raised an eyebrow. "But that was twelve years ago that he was your best friend."
Taehyung raised one back. "So? I want to know what kind of person he's become in that time. What's your deal with Kookie? Why are you being so protective?"
Jimin opened his mouth and closed it again. Why was he being so protective? Taehyung was just a friend. There was nothing wrong with that.
"I'm his best friend now," he replied. "I just want to make sure that he doesn't get involved with anything bad, that's all. I've had my fair share of bad people and I don't want him to go through the same thing."
Taehyung cocked his head to the side. "Oh, so you're not together," he said as if realization was just dawning on him.
Jimin flushed. "Wha-- why would you think that we were together?" he stuttered. He had never heard someone say that before.
Taehyung just shrugged again. "I dunno," he retorted. "Maybe 'cause you were being so protective and 'cause of the way that he looks at you like you're the center of the universe or something."
Jimin's blood boiled for no apparent reason. "That's because I am, to him," he hissed. "Jungkookie loves me." Taehyung looked surprised.
"But you don't love him back?" he questioned, looking appalled at the possibility. Jimin opened his mouth to try and fumble for a reply when Jungkook slid back into the booth, mocha cappuccino in hand.
"Hey guys, what'd I miss?" he asked, a bright smile on his face as he casually slung an arm over Taehyung's shoulder. Jimin just stared at him, his mouth still open, before quickly shutting it and looking down.
"Nothing much," Taehyung replied calmly. "Jimin and I were just getting to know each other." With that, the two of them resumed their easy banter as Jimin quietly sipped his latte, his mind whirling.
Why had he burst out like that? Why was he feeling so annoyed for no reason? And what was that weird feeling in his stomach he had whenever Jungkook laughed at something Taehyung said?
"I'm going out to lunch with Taetae, alright?"
Jimin glanced up, teeth gritting at the playful nickname Jungkook had for his former best friend. He plastered a smile onto his face. "Okay, have fun Kookie," he called as the younger boy shrugged on his jacket and headed out the door with a cheerful wave.
Jimin sighed as he wrapped himself in a blanket, attempting to select a movie to watch. Eventually he selected a sappy romance movie, the only thing his mind could focus on for some reason.
Meanwhile, Jungkook sat across from Taehyung at a cute sandwich shop downtown, the two of them discussing random topics that came to mind.
"So, what's the story with you and Jimin?" Taehyung asked casually. Jungkook shrugged.
"There's not much to tell. I met him in sixth grade, and we became best friends. Four years later, I told him I had romantic feelings towards him but he didn't have any back. Fast forward seven years to the present and we're roommates and still best friends. It's kinda sad to have to always watch him go through so many heartbreaks, though."
Taehyung gave his friend a sympathetic smile. "That sucks man," he said. "How come you haven't tried to move on and, like, find another guy?" Jungkook sighed.
"I've tried to move on, but it's way too hard. Seriously, he's so perfect and beautiful, and he's so sweet and cheerful towards everyone. Plus I see him every day, and it's impossible to try and move on when there's a literal angel living in your apartment."
Taehyung raised an eyebrow. "Wow, you are seriously whipped," he chuckled. "But sweet and cheerful? He was far from that when we first met. Kept questioning me and shit."
"Questioning you?" Jungkook asked. "Weird. Maybe it's his attempt at the BFF protection protocol. Considering I like, never meet anyone, he's probably just new to it and was more hostile than he intended."
Way more hostile than intended. Taehyung decided to keep his thoughts to himself.
The two boys conversed for another three hours before they had to head back home. Jimin was waiting on the couch, already halfway through his second movie.
"Hey Jiminie," Jungkook called, hanging up his jacket. "Whatcha watching?" Jimin didn't say anything and just made grabby hands towards the younger boy, who promptly flopped down onto the couch next to him.
"Ah, another sappy romance," he said, recognizing the drama right away and the tears in Jimin's eyes. Jimin just pulled the taller boy closer, albeit not knowing why he wanted such close contact with him. Probably just for comfort because of the sad scene. Yeah, that was it.
The two best friends watched in silence for a while, the only sounds in the house being the drama on the screen and Jimin's quiet snuffles.
"Hey! Don't wipe your gross runny nose on my shirt!"
Taehyung and Jungkook had been hanging out a lot recently, and it irked Jimin to no end.
He did not expect to have to share his best friend with some other guy, someone that could make Jungkook laugh and blush and talk for hours, someone that was very into skinship. Needless to say, Jimin was not enjoying the fond way Taehyung talked to the younger boy. It made him want to wrap Jungkook in a warm embrace and hiss, "Mine."
Okay, that sounded a tad possessive, but Jimin was feeling a tad possessive at the moment. He didn't want someone to steal his ball-of-sunshine Kook away.
The last straw occurred when Jimin came home from a particularly bad date.
Jimin opened the door with a groan. "Ugh, this one is definitely a Cheer-up Cocoa. Maybe even a Drown Your Troubles Distillery Drop, Seojun was such a prick--" He looked around, suddenly realizing that there was no Jungkook greeting him with a sunny smile and two warm mugs. "Kook?"
He made his way to the kitchen table, where he found a piece of paper and two cups.
Hey Jiminie,
I'm so, so, so sorry I wasn't home to celebrate/mourn with you tonight :((( Taehyungie dragged me out to some lame-ass bar, insisting that I have to "go out and meet someone." Ugh. I'm not sure if he knows I don't really want to meet anyone, but I can't resist his boxy smile, dammit. I guess it doesn't hurt to try (??) so I went.
I really hope you can survive this one time without me. I've been there enough times where I think you got the hang of it, right? I don't think you actually need me anyway, I'm just the drink provider #exposed :P
I'm just teasing you. But I did make the drinks for you so you can still do the ritual without me, I'm sure it'll be basically the same. I got the Celebratory Champagne and the Cheer-up Cocoa, and since I'm not here and I have no idea what happened, the Drown Your Troubles Distillery Drop is in the fridge. I really really hope you don't need it though, Jiminie. I pray for your beautiful little soul.
Anyways, I hope you enjoy the drink without me, I'll be back by 2 probably if Tae doesn't get me wasted as fuck (which he probably somehow will). Don't wait up if you don't want to. Call me if you need anything, or call Tae's phone if I'm drunk af.

Taetae's #: (555)-384-4827
Jimin stared at the note, reading it over a few times. Where was the "I love you?" And Jungkook just... Ditched him? For that Taehyung guy? Jeez.
Glaring at the two drinks in front of him, Jimin reluctantly grabbed the lukewarm hot chocolate and began to drink it. This isn't even half as good as it is with Jungkookie, he thought bitterly. "Basically the same," my ass.
Once he drained the cup, Jimin was still feeling upset. He needed more. He padded towards the fridge and opened it up, spotting the glass with the pre-made Distillery Drop in it. Quickly grabbing the glass. Jimin shut the refrigerator door and sat down at the couch, trying to pretend like Jungkook was there to cheer him up, even going as far as to create a blanket mountain to simulate a warm Jungkook body. No such luck.
Giving up, Jimin took to nursing his drink and staring forlornly at the blank TV, growing tipsier by the minute.
Midnight drew closer, and Jimin was pretty much drunk. His mind a little muddled, he reached for his phone and dialed Taehyung's phone number. When someone picked up after a few seconds, he could hear the loud clamoring of a bar in the background.
"Hello?" the voice asked, surprisingly sober-sounding for a person at a bar. Jimin supposed it was Taehyung, considering that was whose number he called.
"Is this Taehyung?" he asked anyway, just to make sure.
"Uh, yeah," the voice replied, a little bit faint as the song changed in the background and the crowd cheered enthusiastically. "Who is this?"
"This is Park Jimin," Jimin slurred. "How's... How's Jungkookie doing over there?"
"How about you ask him?"
There was a shuffling sound as the phone was presumably handed over to Jungkook. "Jim... Jiminie?"
"Hey Kook," he said, smiling at the sound of the voice of his friend. "How's it going over here?"
"It's... Okay. I guess. I think I might've... Might've... Drank a lil' bit too much. Don't feel... The best... But enough about me! How was your date, Jiminie!"
Even in this state, Jungkook was still putting Jimin's needs first.
"Um, I don't... Really feel the best either. Maybe you should come home or--"
A retching sound was heard and a chorus of groans as the phone changed possession again. "Sorry, Kookie just threw up, I don't think he was feeling very good. I'll take care of him, don't worry."
Suddenly, Jimin felt angry for some reason. It was a mix of alcohol-heightened emotions, fatigue, and general annoyance. "Listen here, Kim Taehyung," he growled into the phone. "You took away my Jungkookie when I needed him and dragged him away to some bar he didn't even want to go to. I don't know what you think you're doing with him, but you'd better stop."
A scoff was heard from the other line. "All I'm doing is hanging out with him like any normal friend. And I took him to this bar because he needs to meet new people. He can't stay loveless forever."
"He won't stay loveless! He has me! My Jungkookie~"
"I'm sorry, but I beg to differ. I don't think you get to call him yours. He doesn't deserve to be sentenced to a life of being single just because this perfect person fell in love with an idiot who won't love him back. Sorry, not sorry, but he needs to find someone who will."
Jimin gaped at that, unable to find anything to say. He had never thought of it that way. Jungkook... Still loved him... Even though he wasn't getting any love in return... His sweet baby boy... He had to suffer so much...
"Now if you'll excuse me, I have a drunk, tired, and alone Jungkook to take care of. Good night."
With that, the phone clicked off, and Jimin collapsed to the floor, tears streaking down his face.
Meanwhile, Taehyung was gently placing Jungkook into the passenger seat of his car.
"You okay, Kook?" he asked softly, not wanting to shake up the younger boy too badly.
"Ugh, I'm fine," he groaned. "Head just hurts a little. But what about Jiminie! I was just talking to him... He had a bad date... He needs me...!"
Taehyung patted his drunk friend's hand. "Shh, don't worry," he said soothingly. "I'm taking you home now. You've had enough alcohol for tonight. And I haven't had any, so we can get home just fine, okay?"
"Okay," mumbled Jungkook sleepily, his eyelids fluttering shut. "Jiminie..."
Taehyung smiled sadly at how much he still cared for the older boy no matter what.
Twenty minutes later, Taehyung supported Jungkook as they hobbled up the stairs together to Jungkook's apartment. Taehyung fumbled with the keys before inserting them into the slot, opening the door and helping Jungkook inside.
"G'nite Kook," he whispered before slipping out the door.
Tired, Jungkook wandered around until he found a singular, and very single, Jimin crumpled on the kitchen floor. Gathering him up into his arms, he gently stroked the older boy's hair. "Jiminie," he muttered into his ear. "Jiminie, Kook is here now."
Jimin cracked open one eye to see the concerned face of his best friend peering down at him. He weakly opened the other one with a weak smile. "Kookie," he mumbled sleepily. "You came back." Jungkook smiled softly at that.
"Of course I did. I always will, for you."
Ever since that night, Jimin was confused.
Confused at how happy he felt upon seeing Jungkook's smile, happier than usual.
Confused at the warm feeling he felt every time he made Jungkook laugh.
Confused at how he craved Jungkook's touch, all the time.
Confused at how he didn't want Jungkook to leave him to hang out with anyone else.
He decided to take action, which is why he was at Namjoon and Jin's apartment, the three of them plus Hoseok sitting on their couch.
The other boys knew about Jungkook being in love with Jimin, and how close the two were. When Jimin told them about how he had been feeling recently, they all exchanged knowing looks.
"What?" he asked, confused. "Why are you guys looking at each other like that?"
Jin sighed. "Jimin..."
"We think we know why you feel like that," Namjoon interjected. Hoseok nodded.
"Jimin, do you think, maybe," Hoseok began, before taking a deep breath. "Maybe, maybe... You like Jungkook back?"
Jimin stared at them.
And he kept staring.
His mind was blank. Um. What?? So he said it aloud.
"Um, what??"
Jin nodded. "Seriously, Jiminie," he insisted. "It makes sense."
Jimin's breathing became shallower, his mind spinning. He... Liked Jungkook back?? What? The? Actual? Fuck?
"Honestly, I for one think you've always liked him," Hoseok said, shrugging. "You've just been denying your feelings for like, forever."
"Think about it," Namjoon added. "What do all of the people you've dated have in common?"
Jimin blinked at him. "Uh, they all end up being assholes?" he asked. Namjoon rolled his eyes.
"Well, other than that," he said, waving it off. "Like, how do they look?"
Jimin thought about it. "Hm, well," he said. "I guess they're usually tall. And muscular. And have brown hair. And have kinda sharp features. And are athletic. And like dressing casually."
Jin raised an eyebrow. "Sound familiar?"
Jimin stared at him again. "Um."
Hoseok sighed loudly. "Who else do you know who is tall, muscular, has brown hair and sharp features, is athletic, dresses casually, and is not an asshole?"
"Um."
"JEON FUCKING JUNGKOOK, YOU IDIOT!"
Jimin came back from his powwow feeling like a new man.
He. Fucking. Loved. Jeon. Jungkook.
He was an idiot, confirmed.
Jimin felt awful that it took him this long to realize it, it took someone else appreciating Jungkook for him to realize it. But that meant he had to tell Jungkook as soon as possible and not waste any more time.
When he reached the apartment, however, Jungkook was already walking out the door, dressed up in a nice suit and tie. Jimin stood for a moment, admiring Jungkook in a new light now that he had finally accepted his feelings. God damn, he was smoking hot, especially in that suit, with his dark hair styled off his forehead, sharp features devastatingly handsome.
"Where you off to, Kook?" Jimin asked cheerfully as he approached the other boy. Jungkook gave him a small smile.
"A date."
Jimin was hit like a ton of bricks. A date?? Jimin had never, ever seen Jungkook go on a date before. Why now? No, this was terrible timing.
"A... A date?" he echoed, in shock.
"Is that a bad thing?" Jungkook asked in a small voice, seeming unsure of himself. It broke Jimin to see how small and afraid he looked. "Tae introduced me to one of his friends, Min Yoongi. He said we should try it out. So I could, you know..." He coughed awkwardly. "Finally move on. After eleven years. It's about time anyway." He gave a sad smile.
Jimin blinked. "Don't go," he heard himself say. Jungkook just shook his head.
"No, it's okay, hyung," he said quietly. "I should. It's been too long. Taehyung's right, I shouldn't stay single forever. All the guys pining for me would be sad." He chuckled weakly at that.
"I love you."
Jungkook stared at Jimin for a moment before scoffing and looking away. "Good one," he said wryly. "Nice try. It's fine, hyung, you don't have to try and stop me. I'm getting out of the house finally. Meeting new people. I can't be dependent on you until the end of time. Especially when you find a non-asshole boyfriend, who will not want me there pining after his boyfriend who is taken. If it goes badly, you can have the Cheer-up Cocoa for me this time."
Jimin stood his ground. "I love you," he repeated.
"Stop, hyung, please," Jungkook whispered, his eyes glistening slightly with tears. "Stop saying that when I know you don't mean it. It's okay. I'm fine. Seven years of learning to stay away have prepared me."
"I love you."
"Stop! You don't have to force yourself to say it for me!"
"I love you!"
"Stop saying that!"
"I fucking love you!"
"Stop lying!"
"I fucking love you Jeon Jungkook!"
"Please." It was barely a whisper. Jungkook was a mess by then, tear tracks streaked down his face. "Please don't lie to me."
"Fine, I won't lie to you," Jimin said quietly as he turned away, making Jungkook breathe out a shaky sigh of relief.
Then Jimin whipped around and wrapped his arms around Jungkook's neck.
"I'm not lying when I say I love you."
And with that, Jimin pulled Jungkook's head down so their lips crashed together, both of them kissing desperately against each other with all the desire of eleven years of deprivation.
Jimin pushed Jungkook against the wall to deepen their kiss, hungry for more. He could not believe he was stupid enough to go through asshole after asshole when the perfect angel was right there, waiting for him, this whole time.
Finally, they pulled apart, panting. "Fuck," Jungkook breathed.
"I think I found my non-asshole boyfriend," Jimin replied. "I am so, so, so fucking sorry Jungkook. For everything. For not realizing how much I love you, how much I need you, until now."
Jungkook gave a watery smile. "What is there to be sorry for? I've had you as my angel for all these years."
Jimin stared in disbelief. "I can't believe I've been missing you from my entire life."
"But you've had me this whole time," Jungkook replied.
"Not like this," Jimin said.
"Not like this," Jungkook agreed.
"Sometimes you don't realize what you've got until it's taken away from you."
"I love you so fucking much."
