The walls felt suffocatingly close as Jimin sat on the floor of a men's bathroom stall contemplating just how exactly did today go to shit so fast. The music blared just outside the bathroom causing his head to ache much more as he emptied his stomach into the already filthy toilet for like the umpteenth time that night. It was so hard to think with his mind all foggy but as he resigned himself, gripping the toilet seat, and laying his head on his arm, he found it easier to find that answer.
__
There was a heavy knock at Jimins door that woke him up so suddenly that he hit his head on the headboard when he slightly jumped from shock. "Yah! why are you knocking so loudly so early in the morning you made me hit my head asshole," Jimin said to the intruder as he rubbed his head.
Most people would be terrified to hear a loud knock outside their bedroom door in a small apartment when they live alone but not Jimin, he was just annoyed. Besides, Jimin knew exactly who it was without even having to hear their voice.
"Aish Jiminie why do you have to be so mean to me after I came all this way, I wonder what Hoseok ah would think if he knew just how rude you really are," was the response he got from the intruder who was still outside his door.
"Jackson…hyung, I swear if you ruin the way Hoseok hyung sees me I'll make you regret it for the rest of your life" he shouted back. Usually Jimin isn't so pissy but he has a ragging headache and the cause of it is standing outside his door practically blackmailing him so he doesn't really care at the moment.
"Jiminie~ I was just kidding I know how you feel about Hoseok ah I wouldn't do anything, you know that. Besides I've got food and coffee so hurry and get up."
Jimins got to admit that the promise of food and coffee just outside his door made him perk up just a bit. He let out a deep sigh and ran his hand through his hair and waited just a second or two before getting out of bed.
When he opened the door, true to his word there was a bag of food and two coffee cups just behind Jackson on his kitchen counter. Jimin released a breath of relief, its not because he didn't trust Jackson but because he was glad it wasn't just a lie to get him out of bed.
"Sorry hyung I was just having that dream again and you made me hit my head as soon as I woke up so I'm on edge." He pushed past Jackson making his way to the counter "oh and thanks for breakfast."
"No problem…and seriously that dream again how many nights has it been already, 10? 20?"
"Two months" Jimin responded as he examined the containers of food. He paused for a second, eyeing the coffees "which ones mine?"
"The one with the cute heart, I thought you'd appreciate the thought," said Jackson with a comedically wide smile. Jimin couldn't help but giggle before taking a sip of his coffee happy to discover it was his favorite.
And really Jimin had no reason to doubt that it would be because after all Jackson's one of his closest friends. He's known him for years now and despite appearances he's only a year older then Jimin. Most people think they don't look like they would be close friends but really Jackson knew practically everything about Jimin and he's always taking care of him like he is right now by bringing him food and such. He even has a key to Jimins apartment which doesn't seem like much but really it means Jimin trusts him with his life and Jackson knows that. Jimin has a hard time trusting people even if he is a social butterfly.
"You're such a dork why would I care if there's a heart or not" Jimin said hiding his smile behind the cup which was pointless since his eyes were a dead giveaway. "Because I heart you Jiminie" Jackson said in an overly 'cute' voice as he made finger hearts at Jimin causing both of them to laugh loudly at Jackson's cringe worthy attempt at being cute.
Jimin didn't really understand it but Jackson always knew how to make him laugh and liven up the mood. Which is exactly why he appreciated Jackson more than he was willing to say.
When their laughter died down Jackson started with a clear of his throat as if getting down to business, "anyway I came to remind you that we're meeting at a new club today. Gotta tell you where its at and what routine we're doing if we battle someone tonight." And by battle he didn't mean an actual battle with weapons and fighting but a dance battle. Jackson and Jimin were both in a dance group called Bangtan and not to brag or anything but they were pretty well known because they were pretty good.
"Wow really? What new club?" Asked Jimin with an innocently dumbfounded face. Jackson let out a deep and drawn out sigh at those words. "You seriously weren't paying attention last time we met up huh. We talked about this, the clubs we usually go to are no good anymore. Everyone's going to the new club, Bighit, because it's bigger, better, newer, you name it. Anyways it's where the people are so that's where we'll go."
"Ahhh ok yea makes sense tell me while we eat, I'm starving" Jimin said as he finally sat down to eat. In all honestly Jimin was comfortable with the clubs they usually go to but he understands as a performer that if there's no crowd there's no point so the obvious choice is to go where the crowd is.
They finished off their food and coffee in no hurry and after a quick shower Jackson and Jimin were on their way to the dance studio to meet up with Hoseok and Seokjin, the other members of Bangtan. They were a small group now but there used to be more back then. People move on with their life's so it's understandable that they didn't stick around.
Entering the dance studio the first thing Jimin hears is Boy Meets Evil, a song Hoseok wrote himself designed to go with his unique dancing style. That's why Jimin admired Hoseok so much, he was everything Jimin aspired to be. He was the best dancer Jimin ever cared to lay his eyes on and he could rap and sing not to mention he had a killer personality and stage presence which really made him the total package as a performer. Jimin idolized him none to discretely because on top of being the best performer he was also just a great person in general and Jimin was a firm believer in praising those who deserved it (it never hurts to hear you're doing a good job.)
The music started to fade out as Jimin grabbed a bottle of water making his way to the center of the dance floor. "Started practice without me again" Jimin said with a cute pout on his face as he handed the water to Hoseok. "Hah, thanks" Hoseok said as he took a sip of water and chuckled a little at Jimins cuteness. "Jimin ah if I waited for you I'd loose my mind, I'd have an easier time climbing Mt. Everest then not dancing as soon as I come through those doors," he said as he pointed in the general direction of the doors.
Jimin humphed in the most adorable way possible and Hoseok internally screamed because he just couldn't believe how cute his dongsaeng was. "It's not my fault we all run on different schedules and you actually like waking up early." Jimin couldn't help but cringe with his signature nose scrunch and honestly Hoseok had done well to keep himself in check this long in front of a pouty Jimin but, he thought to himself, who could blame him really. He squished Jimins cheeks and practically screeched "cute~" with the biggest smile on his face. Ah Jimin was just to adorable for his own good Hoseok just loved teasing him.
Hoseok pinched Jimins cheeks and lightly shook his head left to right consistently calling Jimin cute and adorable. Jimin grabbed ahold of Hoseoks hands in an attempt to pry them off and tried asking him to stop but ended up incomprehensible. "Yah Hoseok ah let Jimin go you're going to break him" ah Jimins savior.
Hoseok let go of Jimins face with a deeply disappointed pout that made it look like he had just got caught stealing cookies. Jimin stretched out his jaw rubbing at his cheeks "ah…ah, thanks Seokjin hyung."
"You know this wouldn't happen if you weren't so adorable Jimin ah." Hoseok perked right up again with that and put his hand on his chest and said with to much excitement "ah hyung I was just thinking the same thing, you really understand. He's really to much." Jimin couldn't help sputtering at that "what so now it's my fault how does that even work."
Jackson who had been on the side watching all of this happen with an amused smile finally spoke up, "it works because it works, you're just to cute Jiminie." Jimin sputtered again trying to find a way to defend himself but he was being hit from all sides and he knew he couldn't win this one. He let out a low whining sound in resignation which had the rest of the members smiling at how Jimin had just confirmed their argument.
"Haha alright alright guys I think we should talk more about tonight before we start practice." said Seokjin in an attempt to get everyone back on track and to give Jimin a break. "What's there to talk about" asked Hoseok as they all made their way to the center to sit and talk. "Well this is a new club it's bringing people from all over so there's going to be other groups like ours that we haven't met yet, I don't want any problems so I want you all to keep exposure to a minimum."
"Ah but didn't we already pick a routine for tonight" asked Jimin.
"We did but that's only for just in case but today's goal isn't to battle, it's to scope out the place and get a feel for it."
Jimin nodded in understanding but it kinda sucked, he really wanted to perform today to get his mind off of the dream he had been having. "Also I wanted to bring up clothes, since we alway coordinate our clothes to follow a certain look we all wear I was thinking today we should just wear whatever we want since it's just a causal club night."
Jackson brightened up when he heard that "does that mean I can finally dress Jimin the way I want" he asked with an excited lilt. "Hey who asked for your help?" Jackson couldn't help laughing at that "says the guy who asks me to pick his outfit out even when he's going out to just throw away trash" he said with a smirk. Jimins checks reddened slightly because he knew it was sort of true but still "you're exaggerating." What if Jimin wanted to try picking out his outfit this time he thought as he looked down. "Alright then I won't pick it out for you" Jackson said with a shrug. Jimins eyes and hand shot up "Wait no" ah maybe he did want help. Jackson smirked "hah Jimin ah you really like playing hard to get…don't worry I got you."
Seokjin cleared his throat "alright so lastly since we all have different schedules today we have to get there separately so I'll try to get there earlier so I can find a place we can all meet up at before going inside. I heard the outside gets to crowded so it's not a good idea to meet up at the front I'll text you guys about it." Seokjin clasped his hands "alright any questions before we start practice" No one does so they start practice.
_
Jimin collapses on his knees in exhaustion as sweat dripped down his neck and stings into his eyes. Seokjin and Hoseok have long since left to their respective jobs of cooking and tutoring. Jimin rubes the sweat out of his eyes as Jackson sits beside him handing him a water, their loud breathing the only thing that could be heard.
"Ah I've got to go to work soon" said Jackson as he toweled of the back of his neck. "You wanna come with" he looked at Jimin expectantly. Jimin seemed to be mulling it over so as an incentive "I'll give you free pizza and tell you what outfits to wear on the way…Hmm… besides you gotta go home and shower your drenched in sweat." Jimin chuckled "hey you are too, do you seriously plan on going to work like that."
"It'll dry up on the way, are you coming or not." Of course Jimin was coming, there was free food involved plus he really did need to get some rest at home before tonight.
Later that same evening Jimin was putting the finishing touches to his makeup which was usually reserved for club nights and special occasions. He put on the outfit Jackson had picked out for him which was a white button up with the words paradise written all over it with black graphics of people, tight black pants ripped at the knees, a black belt, and black shoes. His usual style was more on the cute side or at least that's what Jackson said so Jackson was always trying to get Jimin to wear things that amplify his sexy personality when he dances. Jimin did a once over in the mirror and decided he was satisfied so he made his way out of the apartment.
As soon as he got in the cab as if on cue Seokjin texted him on a location for their meet up, he really always had perfect timing it was amazing. He told the driver the place and relaxed into his seat. He didn't usually take a cab, usually he walked where ever he went or got a ride from Seokjin. He was the only one with a car in their group and was usually more then happy to give them all a ride whenever he could. He sighed as he closed his eyes attempting to make time go faster so he could just arrive at the meet up place already. He was so ready to see this new club but more than anything his whole body was itching to dance.
The background noise of the city faded and in the back of his mind he could vaguely hear a soft deep voice that sounded far away sing I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry my sister. It made Jimins breath hitch as his eyes flew open ".....'re here." Jimin looked at the driver trying to focus "come again?" The driver sighed and repeated himself "I said you're here." "Ah…thanks" he said as he finally registered that the cab had stopped and what the driver was saying to him. He handed the money to the driver and stepped out of the cab.
He pulled out his phone to check for any new messages which were just confirmations from Hoseok and Jackson that they were on their way too. That voice Jimin had heard in the cab was the same voice that had been haunting his dreams, he just couldn't get it out of his head. Before he had a chance to think anything more of it he was pounced on from behind with such an incredible force that he would have fallen forward if the grip on his arm and shoulder weren't there. "Jiminie! You wore it, I knew you would. Why are you just standing here all spaced out Hoseok ah and Seokjin hyung are waiting come on."
Still some what out of it Jimin could do nothing more then to let Jackson drag him over to where Hoseok and Seokjin were.
"Wow Jimin, sexy" Hoseok said as he looked Jimin up and down. "Jackson stop dressing our mochi like that what if someone tries to steal him from us."
"Seokjin hyung~ I'm not a baby this isn't even that sexy." That comment managed to get Jimin out of his stupor and back into reality. Jackson stepped back to get a better look at Jimin "yea hyung this isn't even the outfit I've been wanting to put on him it's not nearly as sexy he won't let me have fun with it…Could it be that your jealous that I'm picking Jimins clothes out instead of yours" he said with a slight smirk.
"Yah! I've never asked for your help punk." Seokjins face was going a bit red from getting himself worked up, he actually did want Jackson to pick out an outfit for him too. Jackson was pretty much the most stylish person they knew and it was guaranteed you'd look good with any outfit he picked out, even if it looked bizarre before trying it on. Seokjin just didn't want to admit that he'd wanted Jackson's help more times than he could count on both hands.
"Hah so you don't want me to pick an outfit out for you" said Jackson with a shit eating smile. Seokjin didn't know what to say so he just crossed his arms and averted his eyes which was all Jackson needed as a response "don't worry hyung I'll pick your outfit next time we have a casual day at the club." Seokjin opened his mouth to protest, but Hoseok stopped him. "Hyung give it up we all know you want him to, just say ok and let's go to the club there's a huge line and I'm itching to look at the dance floor" he said a bit impatiently to which Seokjin just sighed and said an okay to. Jackson was thrilled to hear that because he knew that getting Seokjin to set another casual day meant he could finally dress Jimin in that one outfit he had always wanted, and this time he was going to make sure Jimin didn't have a choice in the matter. He knew exactly how he was going to get Jimin to do what he wanted whether he liked it or not, his plan was going to work this time.
They all made their way to the club and even before they turned the corner to get there they saw a huge crowd, probably people waiting to get in. Men this was going to be a long night. They all followed Hoseok who seemed to know where he was going despite never having been there before. He completely walked passed the line toward the door and Jimin was about to say something somewhat panicking about skipping the line. He's seen it many times and things never ended well except for people with expensive sports cars. Before he could though, they had already reached the front and the guard was asking for a name with a suspicious eye.
"It's Hoseok."
Jimin was expecting the guard to look at his clipboard to pretend to look for a name and deadpan that he wasn't on the list but what really happened was shocking to say the least. The guards eyes light up and he smiled as he said "oh Hoseok, my man I heard you were coming" they clasped hands and patted each other on the back as if they had known each other for years. They went inside with surprised faces (except Hoseok) and walked for a while through a wide hallway. "What was that" Seokjin finally asked Hoseok who looked like he hadn't expected the question, laughing after finally realizing everyone's shocked faces.
"Well my friends cousins friend has an uncle who has a.."
"Do not start that, just say you know a guy!" Interrupted Seokjin a but irritated before Hoseok could continue.
Hoseok chuckled at that as he smirked "well actually I don't."
"Then how.." Hoseok started walking again with more swagger in each step and chuckled a bit "the owner invited me personally."
"How did you manage that" asked Jackson as they all followed behind Hoseok. "Well you know how I tutor kids, one of them apparently talked about how I'm a dancer in Bangtan and word spread, it got to the owner who happened to see some of my videos from YouTube some time ago. He said he had no idea that I lived in the same city as his but when he heard I was in Bangtan he knew. He apparently has been a fan of mine for a while now and since Bangtan is well known around these parts, he thought it would be a great opportunity for him to meet me and to get more people to come to the club."
They all stopped before going in through the next door, the one that actually led them into the club. "Wait so when you said a friend of yours you meant your student. And what's with the uncle? And weren't you complaining about the lines being to long earlier?" Asked Jackson incredulously. Hoseoks smile completely faded at that and he sighed "that's really all you got from all that, where's my 'wow Hoseok your so cool' ah Jiminie you think I'm cool right" he said as he clung on to Jimin with a pout on his face. Jimins eyes went wide "of course I do hyung" Hoseok brightened up again after finally hearing a compliment. "But you'd be more cool if you waited for me for practice" said Jimin with a laugh as Hoseoks pout returned and he pushed Jimin away.
Seokjin laughed at how adorable his dongsaengs were then pushed passed them to open the door to the club. The hallway must've been sound proof because as soon as he opened the door loud music hit them like a truck. They all stepped in and were immediately awestruck by how big the place was, it was like something they had never seen before. There were several bars throughout the club and there were blue LED lights everywhere which were pretty much the only source of light in there. There were many sections in the club, the higher and the farther the sections were the more luxurious they seemed. There was an overwhelming amount of people but there was still enough space that made it so that you didn't feel like a sardine which was rare in a club.
Hoseok shifted legs impatiently as his eyes traveled throughout the club, damn he couldn't see the dance floor from there. What he did see, however, were two Dj stands one big one and one smaller one towards the back, which could only mean one thing "there's two fucking dance floors!" He shouted more out of excitement and shock then for the other members to hear him through the loud music. His heartbeat sped up, he needed to see both dance floors now. He was already grabbing Jimins hand to drag him out with him when Seokjin grabbed him by his shoulders. "Yah! I know your excited but don't just jump in you'll get lost. See that number on that bar," he said as he pointed toward the bar he was talking about. The bars where conveniently numbered, probably because there was more then one and the owner knew people would get lost which was a pretty smart move on his part. "Me and Jackson are going to be there okay" continued Seokjin. Hoseok nodded in understanding and resumed his dragging Jimin into the nearest dance floor, the big one. Hoseok knew Jimin wouldn't mind going with him because he probably wanted to get to the dance floor as bad as he did.
Jimin followed Hoseok closely as they made their way through the crowd in search for a more specious spot on the dance floor. The dance floor was like a dream, it was so big that there was no need to be squished together. As Hoseok finally came to a stop near the center of the dance floor Bermuda Triangle by Zico came on.
The crowd went wild as soon as the beat dropped and so did Hoseok and Jimin. So maybe they were attracting more attention then Seokjin would like as a small crowd began to form around them, but they were performers and dancing in place wasn't their style. They matched their speed to each others perfectly moving their bodies fluidly complimenting each others every move as they circled around each other. They hadn't even noticed the crowd forming in the first place because their eyes never moved from each other's almost as if they were having a telepathic conversation about which dance moves they were doing up next. To be perfectly honest it wasn't really their fault for attracting so much attention, they were simply lost in the music and maybe a little to excited.
Their dancing seemed to trigger something in the people watching because some of the people started dancing more extravagantly in an attempt at showing off. Of course Jimin and Hoseok didn't even notice people trying to one up them still being lost in their own little world. The music faded out and Jimin and Hoseok laughed and hugged being overwhelmingly happy after such a good dance in a great dance floor with phenomenal music, this was exactly what they both needed. They were interrupted however, with the lights suddenly being cut on and the Dj calling everyone's attention. Hoseok laid his arm over Jimins shoulders as they turned to look towards the Dj. "People! People! People! How we doing tonight" said the Dj to which the crowd screamed in response.
"Ha alright alright that's what's up. Now it has come to my attention that there are a few dancers on the dance floor trying to one up each other am I right?" Again the crowd screams in agreement. Hoseok and Jimin look surprised at that because this is news to them, they had been so distracted to have even noticed so they both look around in mild excitement to try and figure out who it could be.
"Now we all know what happens when you do that on the main dance floor right?" The crowd cheers loudly "first things first we gotta get the ones who started all this." He scans the crowd and looks right at Jimin and Hoseok "You two…in the middle, got a dance crew?" and suddenly everyone is looking at them. Hoseok and Jimins smiles are replaced with shock filled faces because what when did that even happen and all Hoseok could do was nod his head. The Dj's attention was suddenly on some other people that were somewhat close to them "fantastic, alright if I recall correctly some of you were trying to one up them, any of you got a crew?" There were many no's in the crowd which had the Dj looking displeased "ah come on is anyone going to step up to the plate" and suddenly there was a long slender hand that shot up. The Dj seemed very pleased that there was finally someone "alright alright that's what I'm talking about! We got two crews, now listen carefully, you guys have a total of 10 minutes to get your crews to the second dance floor to battle it out. Now the rules are simple be there on time or lose, get there early if you want the Dj to play the song you want, any dance is allowed, there will be no hitting or fighting, who ever wins takes the money home. Now everyone give it up for the first competitors of tonight whooo!" the crowd cheered along with the Dj.
Hoseok and Jimin were still in shock as people around them patted them on their backs and cheered them on. They walked out of the dance floor to where Seokjin and Jackson were. Hoseok hesitatingly walked up to Seokjin who was currently taking a shot. When Seokjin sensed Hoseok behind him he turned around with a smile on his face "how was it did you like the dance floor" Hoseok nodded. "Wow wasn't it crazy what happened just now, the Dj called out two crews out of nowhere, that's pretty amazing I've never seen that done before."
Hoseoks hand shot up to rub the back of his neck "ah about that." Seokjins eyes went comedically wide "no, don't tell me…Hoseok we haven't even been here for more then ten minutes."
"I know hyung it's just me and Jiminie were to distracted we didn't even notice." Seokjin let out a deep sigh "I'm honestly not even surprised, you guys have no self control on a dance floor." He finished off the rest of his shot and stood up "let's go."
They all followed Seokjin to the second dance floor which was a bit far from the bar they had just been at. "Are we really going to battle Seokjin hyung? I thought you didn't want us to battle today and to keep exposure to a minimum," asked Jimin.
Seokjin sighed and sent Jimin a nonthreatening glare "well it's to late for that now isn't it, besides the Dj said the reward is money and our reputation is on the line."
They went the rest of the way in silence. When they got there, a small crowd was already waiting for the battle to begin. Near the Dj stand Jimin could see the guy who had raised his hand earlier, he had silver hair and was wearing a blue blazer over a Tetris skyline jersey, white pants, and had a long dangling earring. You would think this guy would look ridiculous but in fact he managed to pull the look of. As they got closer to the Dj stand for Seokjin to tell the Dj what song they wanted, Jimin could make out some people talking to that guy with the dangling earring, most likely his crew members Jimin thought. There was a short guy with blue hair, a tall guy with pinkish blond hair, and a guy that looked to young to be there with brown hair. They all radiated individuality, it was obvious they all had their own style and personality.
Since the crowd wasn't so dense and the music wasn't as loud as before, they could make out what the other group was saying.
"Why'd you raise your hand you idiot" said the short blue head to the guy with the dangling earring as he smacked the back of his head.
"Ahhh! hyung~ I saw them dancing I thought it would be fun to see what they could do."
"You can't just go and start a battle with just anyone, besides I doubt their worth our time," said the tall blond.
"I don't see what the problem is I thought you guys liked making easy money," said the brown haired guy, probably trying to stand up for the silver haired guy.
The blue haired guy must've noticed that they were being stared at because he smirked and looked straight at Hoseok as he said "you know I like easy money as much as the next guy, but the red head over there looks ridiculous as is without us adding more to the flame." He turned his attention back to his members as he said "I wouldn't want to send him home crying he looks like the fragile type."
"Hyung since when do you care about sending people home crying, besides…" said the guy with the dangling earring as he looked over his shoulder at Jimin. He continued as he smirked "…if anyone's going home crying, it probably be that short blond. He looks like he'd even run from a bug." He turned his attention back to his members as they discussed more quietly and their conversation was no longer audible. Hoseok and Jimin gritted their teeth practically seething they both took a step forward to give those guys a piece of their mind when they were suddenly grabbed from behind by the shoulders by Jackson and pulled back.
"Guys I know your mad I am too but I think it be best to shut them up with your dancing instead of your words," he said into their ears and laughed a bit "besides you guys aren't the best at comebacks."
Jackson patted their backs as both Jimin and Hoseok turned to look at him with offended looks and they both started hitting him playfully in protest as they all laughed. Jackson had successfully cleared the dense air and brought them out of their rage, really they were thankful he was there to keep them in check.
Their laughs subsided as Seokjin came back and asked them if they were ready, to which they all gave an excited of course to.
The Dj got everyone's attention moments later "guys I have just received word that Bangtan and Beyond the Scene aka BTS are the crews that are going to be battling it out tonight!" he punctuated the last word and suddenly the crowd was in an uproar as more and more people ran to the second dance floor to get a better look. "Now for those of you that don't already know, have you been living under a rock? Bangtan and Beyond the Scene are the hottest dance crews in the city and if I'm correct they haven't even met before because they've never gone to the same club. Until now! Make some noise everyone!"
The members of Bangtan were all visibly shocked because they had heard of Beyond the Scene before and how they were pretty good. The members of Bts, however, didn't seem at all taken back or impressed at what they had just heard, well maybe except the youngest of them his eyes were opened wide.
"We are starting in two minutes everyone make sure to place your bets on whoever you think will win and then we'll get it popping. You do not want to miss this battle," the crowd cheered and shifted as people went to place their bets.
Both groups stepped into the dance floor sizing each other up before the battle began they all held glaring eyes in an attempt at getting into the zone. Each battle followed certain guidelines, each member of each team would dance individually to show what they had to whatever song the Dj picked. Then they would dance two rounds as a group to whatever song they chose before hand and then a winner would be chosen.
"We are about to begin everyone Are- you- ready!?" The crowd went wild once again as the Dj started the music. He chose a basic song with no lyrics just a beat and a melody to start them off.
The first one to step up to the center was of course Hoseok who had been impatiently waiting to shut the members of Bts up for bad mouthing them. He did his usual b-boying, popping and moving fluidly through the dance floor as he hit every beat and the crowd egged him on. The youngest member of Bts stepped up to challenge Hoseok as he danced in a similar style before ending his dance by lightly pushing Hoseok back in a mocking way. He stepped back to his group, hands raised challenging the rest of Bangtan. At that point Jimin lost his cool and went to the middle to quickly and did his signature flip in the air which ended in him falling slightly forward because he couldn't control his momentum. "Looks like things are beginning to get heated! Can Bangtan keep their temper under control?" Came in the Dj with unhelpful commentary.
Before Jimin regained his upright posture the silver haired guy leaned in and said "what's wrong cupcake can't handle the heat?"
Jimin snapped back glaring at him and tried to regain his composure as he began dancing. He began with a simple toprock then he began sliding across the floor with gliding foot work, falling on one knee and sliding to the left, keeping his movements bouncy playful and fluid. He demonstrated all his skills in that one dance and the crowd was loving it but of course the silver haired guy wasn't. His eyes no longer looked amused as he lowered his head slightly and glared at Jimin. The blue haired guy must've seen how he was reacting to Jimin because he patted him on his shoulder and stepped past him toward Jimin.
He was about the same size as Jimin but he didn't move with as much flexibility as Jimin did. Instead he moved with a fierce intensity in each step forcing Jimin to step back with each move. He got all up in Jimins face before walking back to his group and high-fiving the youngest as he smirked back at Jimin. Next up was the tall blond and Seokjin, they both danced in a similar fashion, both lacking in grace but excelling in the execution of each move they did. Last but not least was Jackson verses the silver head, Jackson didn't really have a style of his own so he tried to dance like the members of Bangtan and even though he was a good dancer his dancing felt like it was lacking something that could only be achieved by adding his own character into the mix. The silver haired guy danced in a way that was very playful he seemed serious before, when he was glaring at Jimin, but as soon as he hit the dance floor he seemed light on his feet as if all rage was a thing of the past.
"Wow looks like we've got some pretty talented individuals here, now let's see how you guys do as a group, lets get it popping! Since Bangtan was the first to step up we'll start with them. Here we goooo, make-some-noise!" The crowd cheered loudly as tensions grew between both groups.
Per Seokjins request the Dj played Dance Break and they all got into a diamond shape formation with Jimin in the front Hoseok and Jackson on either side and Seokjin in the back. This routine required Jimin to do his signature flip which he had messed up earlier, so he was kind of nervous. He had no reason to be though, because they went through the routine flawlessly and the crowd was in an uproar while all that the Bts members could do was stand and look unimpressed. They felt amazing after their routine finished and their confidence was back so they looked towards Bts smirking and challenging them to do better.
The Bts members finally seemed to be taking them seriously as they formed a similar formation with the youngest in the front. The Dj played Manolo and the youngest seemed to be leading the dance. Jimins got to admit that it was a pretty good routine, it was playful and made him want to dance along.
As the cheering of the crowd faded and the members of Bangtan were getting ready for the second round people started rushing towards the exit. People were screaming "G-Dragon is here" frantically. The dance floor was left practically barren with the Dj even cutting the music and following the crowd. The only people left were a few people already to drunk to care and Bangtan along with the members of Bts.
They stood there in silence for a while still mostly shocked at what had just happened to react just yet. Seokjin was the first to do anything as he stepped forward pausing for a second in front of the members of Bts before pushing past them with Jimin, Hoseok, and Jackson trailing behind him. Before they could leave, the silver haired guy spoke up "you know you guys are pretty lucky that that just happened. There's no way you guys were going to win with a dance routine like that."
Seokjin let out a breathy laugh and said "you know I don't want to hear that from a group lead by a kid who's barely legal…lets go." They left before Bts could hit them with another comeback and honestly it was such a surprise to all of them that Seokjin actually said that. He's usually the passive type, he doesn't let anything get to him, and is a strong believer of turning the other cheek. Behind them Jimin could hear what he thinks may be the youngest whining to his hyungs about not looking barely legal. That made him laugh slightly as they all made their way back to the bar.
Seokjin let out a long sigh "that could've gone better," he said as he rubbed his face with both hands.
"I know right, who knew Beyond the Scene were such jerks," said Jackson as he signaled the bartender over to them.
"I think that blue haired guy had something against me he said I look ridiculous. How can he even say that when he has blue fucking hair," said Hoseok.
"That guy with the long earring kept looking at me like I was less then shit, I seriously can't stand those people," said Jimin as his rage slowly came back to him.
"Forget about him Jiminie he was probably trying to get under your skin to throw you off your game. How about playing a game with me instead? To get your mind off things." asked Jackson with an expecting glint in his eye.
Usually Jimin would've caught on to the underlining mischief in Jackson's eyes but he just wanted to forget what had happened earlier so he went for it.
Jackson was excited not only because he would soon be able to dress Jimin in whatever outfit he wanted but also because this was his favorite game. "What's the game then," asked Jimin.
"It's a drinking game, who ever holds their liquor best wins."
"And what's the prize for wining," Jimin asked as he ate some of the peanuts that were in a small bowl on the counter. Doing that caused him to miss the devilish smile Jackson had completely as he said "loser has to do what the winner wants no ands, ifs, or buts."
"Alright let's do it," said Jimin with an excited smile.
They were already about 7 shots in and Jimin and Jackson were not quite drunk but a little more then buzzed. Usually Seokjin wouldn't allow this type of thing to happen but it worked in getting rid of the tension from earlier, they were having fun, and besides he was there to stop them from getting out of control so he figured it was okay this time. Jackson was visibly doing much better then Jimin who looked about two shots away from having to be dragged home instead of walking there.
Seokjin contemplated if he should end the game before Jimin got to drunk but was stopped when Jimin slammed his hand on the counter making the glass clank loudly. "I've gotta go to the bathroom," he said. Jackson laughed with a blissed out look "you can't take anymore can you, just admit I win."
Jimin spoke with a lot more composure then a slightly drunk person should have "I'm not done, I just really~ got to pee I'll be back." He got up before Jackson could say anything else and was stopped immediately by none other then the guy with the dangling earring along with the guy with the blue hair and the youngest one. The tall blond was nowhere in sight and all Jimin could do was stand there and wait for them to speak since his own mind didn't allow him to come up with anything to say.
The silver haired guy finally spoke up with a clear of his throat "ah listen I think we got off on the wrong foot earlier, so as an apology I got you this drink." He lifted the drink up to Jimins face which Jimin hadn't even noticed before. Jimin in his right mind wouldn't care if the guy with the dangling earring looked half as sincere as he did now but drunk Jimin was much more sentimental. He was still at a loss for words though so he nodded and took the drink, not even looking at it, keeping eye contact with the silver haired guy as he moved the straw to the side and drank from the cup directly.
Honestly Jimin couldn't have picked a worse time to be polite, he took a big swig of the drink and thank god he hadn't swallowed because of what else was in the drink. He spat the drink out all over the guy in the blue hair who screamed from both disgust and surprise. "Dude what the hell," screamed the silver haired guy at Jimin as Jimin ran toward the bathroom.
Seokjin, Hoseok, and Jackson quickly ran after him but were slowed down by a large crowd blocking their path. Jimin who was much smaller and more flexible dodged everyone easily, holding his mouth shut with one hand attempting to keep everything in.
Jimin kicked the bathroom door open and ran into the first stall he could, good thing the bathroom was empty. The bathroom was unsurprisingly big but the lights were so dim that it felt like straight out of a scary movie. Jimin threw up painfully. When his throwing up finally calmed down he slumped to the floor. He just couldn't believe people would do something like that, tears started rolled down Jimins cheeks as he recalled earlier what the silver haired guy had said. '…if anyone's going home crying, it probably be that short blond, he looks like he'd even run from a bug.' The thought had Jimin throwing up again, he just couldn't believe those guys could put a bug in his drink what kind of a person does something like that.
When Seokjin, Hoseok, and Jackson finally got there Jimin had his head lying on his arm on the toilet with the door wide open and his eyes closed. When they saw the tear stains on his cheeks they didn't ask, they figured maybe it was from humiliating himself just then. They all helped in getting him off the floor cleaning his face up and taking him home. Throughout the whole thing Jimin didn't say one word and was being abnormally compliant. Seokjin and Hoseok left Jimin to Jackson when they got to his apartment. "Are you sure you don't want me to come back for you for a ride home," asked Seokjin to Jackson.
"No, I think I'll stay the night with Jimin, I think he could use the company." Seokjin looked like he was going to say something else but instead he simply nodded and said bye.
Back in Jimins room Jimin finally spoke for the first time in what seemed like forever. "I'm sorry I ruined tonight for you guys." Jackson who hadn't been expecting any words from Jimin came rushing to his side on the bed. "Hey you didn't ruin anything, if anything it was me for getting you to play that game with me."
Jimin finally snapped out of it and said "no hyung it's really not your fault I was having fun." Jackson smiled at Jimin and laughed a little "you know I technically won since you threw up first."
Jimin threw himself back into his bed with a loud whining sound "hyung that's not fair." Jackson and Jimin laughed softly together causing the air to feel lighter around them. Jackson felt like he could finally ask this, "when we found you in the bathroom you had tear stains on your face" he paused for a second looking down at Jimin before he continued "did you cry because you felt bad for spitting your drink on that guy."
Jimin stayed quiet for a little while before he took in a deep shaky breath and with the most broken voice Jackson has ever heard Jimin said "hyung…they put a bug in my drink." And suddenly it seemed so clear now and Jackson was feeling a mixture of hate and sorrow because seeing Jimin like this, holding his tears in, was the last thing he wanted to see. He tried to console Jimin as best he could and eventually he fell asleep.
Jackson stepped out of Jimins room and took out his phone to text Seokjin and Hoseok.
Entering group chat with: Seokjin, Hoseok
Jackson: guys they put a bug in Jimins drink...
