Chapter 1: All Aboard!

Chapter Text

Hatabou really is a great friend.

You’re overjoyed with the fact that he invited you and the rest of the NEET crew, including beloved Totoko, to his personal cruise! After he overheard the Matsuno brothers talking about how stressed you’ve been with work lately, he decided it was about time to treat you to a one-week vacation. Under normal circumstances, your stern boss would have denied this request since you’ve already used all your vacation days -mostly due to oversleeping and “sick” days-, but soon after becoming aware that Mr. Flag would assure him some business benefits, he seemed all too willing for you to leave. Who would’ve thought that having a notorious, rich friend could be so beneficial?

And now here you are, attempting to lug your heavy ass suitcase up the ramp to this ginormous yacht. The sun was bright and beating down on your form, making you break a sweat. However, that didn’t deter your efforts as you were filled with unadulterated excitement. You were so determined, you almost hadn’t noticed Kara stepping up next to you. You looked up at him and he smirked dumbly, a twinkle in his eye as he grabbed the handle of your suitcase and adjusted his shades with the other hand.

“My shining star, let me help you with this luggage. A beauty such as yourself shouldn’t have to worry about such things, especially on their vacation.” He stated, about to walk up the slope when the weight of your bag tugged him downwards, making him land ass first on the ground. The other five brothers snickered behind you. Karamatsu scrambled to his knees, looking at your bag scarlet faced, bewildered but terribly embarrassed.

“M-My dove… what could possibly be in your bag to be this heavy?!” He asked, trying to ignore Osomatsu’s bellowing laughter in the background.

“Just a ton of clothes! … and my bathing products, my laptop, and some games. Ah, and I brought some snacks too! I also brought-”

“Damn, did you bring everything in your apartment?” Osomatsu interrupted, gawking at you. Rude.

“No! Listen, I just want this to be perfect, y’know? It’s not everyday I get to do something like this… especially with my friends!” You huffed and crossed your arms, trying not to pout, but you suppose you did cause Osomatsu had a wide shit eating grin like if he knew something you didn’t.

“Awww, you wanted to spend time with us? You could always just ask onii-chan!” He cooed, ruffling your hair playfully with his hand. What the fuck? You scoffed, slapping his hand away and turning to Karamatsu who was already hauling your bag into the yacht, which only slightly surprised you. Karamatsu was actually pretty strong, but the heaviness of your bag must have caught him off guard at first. He smiled at you and his brothers from above, seeming to have regained his cool façade, and gave two thumbs up, signaling that everything was packed and ready to go. You and the others boarded the yacht and it was just then you realized how big this boat actually was.

“WOW!” Jyushimatsu exclaimed with his arms in the air. You look at Ichimatsu next to him as his eyes slightly widen. You bet none of the brothers ever expected to be on a yacht before, and suddenly you’re really happy that they’re able to experience this with you. You turn back to the scenery before you, examining the wide windows of the cabin and the sleek architecture of the hatch. Just as you were admiring the extravagance of the boat, a handsome man in a nice navy suit and hat stood before you and the sextuplets.

“Hello, sorry to have kept you waiting. I’m the captain of the ship. If there is anything you need you may ask me or any of the other attendants.”

The brothers seemed to visibly stiffen at his appearance. Todomatsu leaned into your ear.

“Be careful of what you say to him, he might-“ But it was too late, you had already begun to speak.

“Nice to meet you!” You said, smiling a little awkwardly. “We needed help earlier with the bags but its already been taken care of.”

The brothers looked at you like if you were insane. What? Did you say something wrong? The captain in front of you went rigid, and then you stood in shock as the man fell to his knees in despair.

“I-I’m so sorry to have disappointed you. Please, I ask for your forgiveness, dear guest!”

You stared at the quaking man in disbelief, and just as you were about to kneel down and console him, an attendant who was standing off to the side promptly took out a bazooka and literally obliterated the captain right in front of your own two eyes.

Holy. Shit.

“Eh?!” You blurted as the brothers behind you shook their heads, knowingly. So that’s what they were trying to warn you about…

Hatabou rounded the corner, skipping towards you and stopped right in front of the body, eyeing it. Not phased for even a second, he grabbed the captain’s hat and placed it on his own head.

“Sorry about that, jo! I guess I’m the captain now!” He beamed, putting his arms in the air cutely. You couldn’t even regard his adorableness now as you instead watched in horror as the attendants rolled up the former-captain’s burnt body and chuck it off the side of the yacht. Yikes.

“Where’s Totoko, jo?” Hatabou asks, head tilting to the side. You shrugged. You had tried calling her earlier, but she hadn’t answered you. Maybe she was still sleeping or packing?

“She’s late… I hope she comes.” Choromatsu worried, the green been fidgeting with his hands, looking out to the dock. Ichimatsu grunts, agreeing.

“Ahh, I see Totoko-chan! TOTOKO-CHAN!” Jyushimatsu yelled, waving towards the Mercedes Benz pulling up near the dock. The brothers start to cheer and wave at her as Totoko steps out of the car dressed in a cute swimsuit cover up, with a small bag on her arm. That’s all the bags she brought? It couldn’t be… oh wait, yeah no, the trunk just popped open and a dozen bags just fell out. That’s Totoko for you! She’s definitely going to need help with all that luggage. You considered asking an attendant for help but you decided you’ll try to speak to them as least as possible. It doesn’t look like Totoko will need a lot of help anyways, since the brothers are already head over heels trying to haul her stuff into the boat. You laugh as she trots over to you and hugs you, almost squeezing you to death in her strong grip. She pulls back and giggles, grabbing your shoulders.

“Ah, I’m so glad you came! You should have called me this morning! I was so worried you weren’t coming!” She states.

She was worried you weren’t coming when she’s the late one?! “But.. I did call you!”

Her face goes blank for a second and she just starts laughing, waving her hand. “Oh, sorry! I must’ve missed it! Hey, let’s go see if Hatabou has a bar on this boat!” She grabs your hand and starts heading to who knows where on this humongous boat.

“You want to drink? Now?! It’s only 11 am!”

“It’s never too early to drink on vacation! We’re hardworking people who deserve this!” You almost snort, because it’s Totoko’s parents who do everything for her. But you think about how hard it must be to be a newbie idol and you keep your mouth shut, mostly for your own sake.

This was going to be a long, long week.
