Speaking of jellified... You find George laid out on the long, stiff sofa in the music room, using the thing like a fainting couch. There's evidence of his fresh-from-work routine. No coat. His glossy black loafers are gone, too, and you almost step on his cumbersome belt where it's been stripped off and abandoned on the floor.
The moment you see him the sting of your overworked palms poofs into smoke. Here you were, huffing about being tucked in a comfortable studio all day noodling on your guitar, while he pours every watt of his flickering social battery into entertaining people he's never met. Sure, the rain had sucked a little... But his job was leagues tougher.
He blinks open a sleepy eye at you. “Thought I heard you come in.”
