    Colette is no one. The obscure daughter of a minor Orlesian no one. Completely directionless, completely without her own identity and struggling to find herself. The Iron Bull is, before all else, an agent of the Qun. He's been fashioned into a tool of correction. He knows his place, his role, and he's trained to see where the purpose of others lie. That's what made his gaze fall to Colette. He can read her struggle and recognizes her need for purpose, discipline, and direction. He sees himself in it. Hissrad is a liar, but it's his nature to craft illusions to help, and only manipulate where necessary. Colette doesn't yet know that she needs his manipulations, his careful control. Bull understands how to help her accept his direction and submit.
