"Sit down," he commands, as soon as Jimin's feet hit the parquet flooring of the parlor. He does as he is told, sitting in the velvet armchair across from his fathers, and crossing his hands in his lap. If he's in trouble, looking humble and obedient might help appease his fathers anger.
The words his father speaks next are hard to process. Not because they are difficult words only spoken by philosophers or scientists, but because they shift his world on its axis.
