The sun shone through a crack in the blinds, gently falling on the sleeping figure of Midoriya Izuku. He opened his eyes, and yawned as he sat up and stretched his arms above his head. Turning to stare at the sleeping figure beside him, he smiled softly and bent down to kiss his boyfriend’s forehead. Said boyfriend, Bakugou Katsuki, smiled slightly in his sleep before settling down again into his peaceful slumber. His normally angry expression had been replaced by a softer expression, an expression tranquility and comfort. Midoriya got out of bed slowly, and set himself to work, preparing a surprise breakfast for him and Katsuki.
He bustled around the kitchen, making pancakes, and humming along to the song that was playing on the radio quietly beside him. Swaying his hips to the beat, he flipped the pancakes, a stack slowly growing on the plate he had set out. From behind him, he felt hands creep around his waist, pulling him into a hug. Midoriya chuckled, gently setting the pan down on the hot stove.
“Morning Kacchan,” He chirped, turning to face his groggy boyfriend. Bakugou grumbled, burrowing his head into Midoriya’s shoulders.
“Morning Deku,” Bakugou smiled softly, his expression softening for a brief moment. Midoriya smiled, picking the pan up again, and flipping the pancake.
“K-Kacchan,” He stuttered, “We don’t want these to burn!” Bakugou who just rolled his eyes, becoming the usual angry Katsuki as always.
“Oh, come on! That was one time Deku!” He placed his hands on his hips, glaring at Midoriya, who only laughed, and placed the pancake onto the stack.
“That was a very terrifying and very funny morning,” Midoriya turned to Bakugou, and shyly grabbed his hands. “Flaming pancakes and a yelling, swearing boyfriend are not something people usually like to see when they wake up.” Bakugou scowled and pulled Midoriya in close.
“Don’t bring that up, asshole,” He growled, twirling Midoriya around the kitchen. Midoriya laughed shyly as they danced, the radio playing softly in the background.
They danced slowly, waltzing calmly across the tiled floor of the kitchen. The leaves rustled outside, and the birds outside their window chirped happily as the city outside of their apartment began to come alive with the bustling of people. Midoriya and Bakugou were oblivious, focused only on each other, soaking in each other’s presence. Bakugou stared at his shy boyfriend as if he were the only thing in the world at the moment. His small smile was filled with adoration for Midoriya, who was completely oblivious to the look of love the other man was giving him. Midoriya broke him out his stupor with a quick peck on the lips.
“Kacchan, come on! We don’t want the pancakes to get cold,” Izuku pulled away, booping Kacchan on the nose, and turning his attention to the pancakes. He heard Bakugou’s offended gasp, and chuckled when he felt Bakugou hug him again.
“Are the pancakes more important than me, shitty Deku?” He asked slinking his hands up Midoriya’s shirt. Swatting Bakugou’s hands away with the spatula, Izuku laughed again, turning to face his pouty boyfriend.
“Kacchan, just eat your pancakes,” He smiled at Katsuki, scooping several onto a seperate plate. “I made them just the way you like them!”
Bakugou smiled fondly at the chipper man in front of him, taking the plate from his hands. He leaned over to place a quick peck on Izuku’s cheek, before placing a giant raspberry on his cheek instead. Midoriya shrieked and laughed at the ticklish sensation, pulling Katsuki in close.
“I love you Katsuki,” Deku grinned, kissing Bakugou gently.
“I love you too,” Bakugou respond, kissing his boyfriend yet again, as the morning sun shone through their windows, into their quiet, happy little home.
