Chapter Text
Chise shifted uncomfortably in her bed, her breathing at a fast pace she quickly jolts up grasping her chest, her hair sticking to her face and clothes clinging to her body with sweat.
Chise could feel the tears prickling her eyes threatening to spill over she slowly reaches for the hair on the sides of her head gripping it roughly she was used to nightmares.
But this time it was different it didn’t involve her mom trying to kill her or her dad and brother leaving this is a first for her to dream about someone else and that someone is Elias.
Chise looks down at the blanket has she recalls her dream Elias was standing in front of her just staring at her then eventually he spoke "I have no use for you anymore, I don't need you."
Chise gasps as he turned his back towards her she reaches out her hand to grasp him but he faded away and that's when she jolted up Chise shakes her head lightly trying to get the image out of her head.
She knew she was gonna be thrown away at some point and was ready for it, she was used to it, but since it was Elias she doubt it was gonna happen but she got too comfortable.
Chise looks out her window at the moon tears falling freely down her face, she could handle this alone, she always could and this time it wouldn't be any different some time pass her heart falls into her stomach.
Her chest starts to ache and she puts her arms on her knees and her face in them and starts to sob she doesn't want to be left behind by Elias she wouldn't make it without him.
Chise gets up off her bed, her vision blurred with tears she couldn't do it alone, she wanted Elias she made her way to her door, opening it as she practically rushes to Elias's room knocking on the door.
After a while she didn't receive and an answer so she cracked the door open and peeked in to see him asleep sitting up because of his horns she quickly steps in closing the door and moving to Elias's side.
She shakes him gently to wake him, but he doesn't budge, she stops to wipe her eyes as tears still flow out and she was having difficulty breathing, she shakes him a little bit harder choking out his name "Elias"
Elias eyes light up after awhile, turning to look at Chise taking in her state feeling tightness in his chest he then picks her up off the floor placing her in his lap.
Chise immediately clutches the front of his pajama shirt and burying her face into his chest "Chise what is the matter are you ill or hurt?" Chise shakes her head.
Elias wraps his arms around her pulling her close she could feel her chest pain going away a bit "I had a dream" Elias nods "What was it about?" Chise grips his shirt tighter feeling the tears prickle at her eyes again.
She shakes her head as tears slip down her cheeks, she didn't want to say it and make it come true Elias sighs "Chise I can't help if you don't tell me what it was about" Chise nods slowly trying to calm down.
"I-I had a dream where you said you didn't need me anymore but I knew one day it was gonna happen, I was prepared for it, but then you were kind to me all this time and said you were gonna make me your bride" Chise covers her eyes with her hands, avoiding eye contact with Elias.
Elias looks at her shocked and a little hurt "Chise..." He moves her hands from her face turning her towards him "I could never throw you away like trash, you mean so much to me to do that"
Chise gasps a little looking at him to see if he was telling the truth or not, then she settles that he isn't lying she wraps her arms around his neck squeezing tightly he lays his hands on her back giving her a firm but gentle squeeze.
They sit like that for some time before Elias pulls Chise from him, grabbing onto her chin gently, he then presses the bottom of his skull where his mouth his up against her giving her a version of her kiss.
Chise leans in and they pull away "I love you Elias" Elias moves down the bed, lying down again with Chise in tow making sure she is pressed against his chest.
Chise snuggles her cheek against him as she places her hand along side her head, feeling his beating heart relaxing her further to the point her eyes slides close and she is asleep once again.
Elias smiles slightly at her relaxed face, then he decides to join her in the land asleep from then on Elias and Chise share a bed together every night.
