    Summary

Years ago, before you were Mrs. (___First Name___) Yagi, you were simply (___First Name___) (___Maiden Last Name___): a young girl only a handful of weeks away from thirteen in a strange new country with a quirk too troublesome to handle and a festering handbasket of other issues that typically plague a girl approaching womanhood. You couldn’t take it anymore. You didn’t want a hero—but you got one anyway.

In other words, inspired in part by a beloved friend of mine and the more recent chapters of Illegals, as well as my own world-building ideas within a pre-established universe.
