Chapter Text
Aaaalright everyone! You know what time it is? Its Golden Closet hour! You've sent in your requests and I have chosen one lucky winner to do a cover of their song request! This week's winner goes out to a student named Kim Taehyung. You requested Charlie Puth- We dont talk anymore! We'll start rolling with the song after these short announcements!
"Oh my god Jimin, Oh my god did you hear that?!" The boy grabs the other by the shoulder tightly and starts shaking it violently. "THATS ME. THATS MY SONG!! JIMIN- I CANT." He squeals loudly enough for some people around to look at the two boys sitting in the cafeteria.
"TAE shut you face! You're killing my shoulder!" Jimin shrugs Taehyung off giggling and smacks him in the back.
"What's so special about this seagull dude anyways?"
Taehyung chokes on his juice bottle with the widest eyes possible. He slams his hand down the table and leans closer Jimin who was sitting on the other side.
"You mean to tell me that you don't know who Justin Seagull is? The not only greatest, but talented, handsome, graceful piece of heaven that has ever landed on this earth?!"
Taehyung managed to be leaning full on the table inches from Jimin's face trying to get his point through. Other students would think he is completely nuts if the cafeteria wasn't nearly empty. Jimin leaned back with his head unamused. He could have sworn this crazy man spat on his face during that...Fanboying... and he'll be sure to get him back later on.
"I never actually heard the radio show, I've just heard people talking about it. Never really interested me." He shrugged, "wait, how do you know that he's handsome? I heard that he never shows his face?"
Taehyung gave his friend a look that screams ,really? , all over it.
"Are you kidding me? His VOICE. His voice is amazing. Like, the man can melt chocolate with that voice. And no one knows who he is so it makes it extra mysterious and handsome!!"
Jimin rolls his eyes. "You can melt chocolate with your own voice. Pretty sure no one sings better than yo-" Taehyung quickly covers the other's mouth with a loud "SHHH" and cranks up the radio sitting beside them.
And we’re back! Here's We dont talk anymore by Charlie Puth! I have to say, this Kim Taehyung guy has good taste in music!
Jimin would be smirking if it wasn't for his friend's hand clasped on his mouth. Taehyung looked like he was going to pass out from excitement from just hearing the host complimenting him.
When the music starts playing the familiar tune, Jimin unconsciously bobs his head. He's no mad man about this particular song like Taehyung is but he's had his fair share of encounters with it in parties. Suddenly his eyes widen with surprise when he hears that the host has started singing.
As the song plays the voice continues to sing with this remarkable voice, it was soft yet so emotional. Almost as if his voice was made for this song. His voice was a lot higher than he expected and his range was crazy hitting from lows to highs. Jimin didn't even noticed that his jaw dropped until Taehyung removed his hand smirking with devilish eyebrows moving up and down.
"Damn you're right...He's pretty good..."

“Turn it up, I can’t hear it properly.” The guy motions his arms frantically while he moves closer to the music.
“This is as high as it goes Yoon.” The other raises his phone close to his ears. “Oooh he’s doing an English cover this time! Impressive.”
“Namjoon stop hogging the phone!!” The boy that goes by Yoon tries to snatch the phone away but was clearly never going to do so since Namjoon was very tall. He curses while Namjoon cackles an evil laugh finally giving in and lowers the phone.
The voice fills the room despite it coming from the phone.
“Man that boy can sing...Why haven’t I seen him in the choir or vocal classes?” Another boy was sitting behind the two casually tuning his acoustic guitar. “That voice is hard to miss,I’d know who he way right away if he sang in one of my classes. Yoongi you sure you don’t know him? The music department is pretty small.”
“He’s got this incognito thing going on with him, its pretty cool. It just makes me want to know who he is even more.” Namjoon added. “Oh shit, he’s killing it with the vibrato!”
“Psh, I can sing way better than that guy.”
Yoongi looked at his guitar playing friend blankly. “Sure Jan.”
“It’s Seokjin-Hyung to you!”
That has been We Dont Talk anymore by Charlie Puth! Congratulations to Kim Taehyung who won this weeks Golden Closet Covers! I will see you guys next time!
The radio cuts off and Yoongi slumps a little with disappointment.
“This Kim Taehyung guy...He’s in my math class I think. Lucky bastard...He even got complimented by Justin Seagull” He throws his hands in the air, “Thats some bullshit!”
Namjoon and Seokjin just smirk at their ranting friend wearily.
“You having a crush is doing you no good you know that?” Namjoon jokes. “You don't even know how he looks like!”
Yoongi grunts. “I don't have a crush. I just fell in love with this person’s voice and I think that he would sound great in one of the songs im making.” He dismissed it quickly but it was obvious that he didn’t mean it completely.
“You should try to do those occasional questionnaires he does sometimes or even... Oh my gosh hyung, give him one of your songs to sing!” Namjoon clapped his hands together being really proud of his own idea.
“Ha, sure. Like he’ll sing one of my songs I produced…” Yoongi doubts.
“OH MY GOD JOON THAT'S A GREAT IDEA.” Seokjin shoots up from his seat grabbing grabbing onto Namjoon’s hands. Namjoon’s face was flushed as he was dazed as well.
“U-uh yeah,” Namjoon said while trying to look away.
Yoongi cringes and walks back up to the big grand piano. “Oh jesus christ, go get a room…” He sits down and leans forward to rustle slowly through the papers looking through the different songs he’s made recently. He sighs, not denying the thought of Jungkook singing one of his songs would definitely be a dream.

“Ah…Okay. That's done and done!”
With a click of a button, the lit up sign that glows “on-air” dims and the sound of chair moving against wood squeaks. A boy stands up stretching with a big smile, grunting in satisfaction as the bones crack in his body from sitting for hours. He removes the headphones from his head and unplugs some music equipment to put back in a dusty old box.
He then picks up his glasses placing them back on his face with a yawn and looks out the nearby window. He’s currently in an old building that was once used for history related classes and majors but since there was a newly built version on a different area all activities were moved there. So here he was, standing in a small room filled with different set equipment, wires, and boxes filled with snacks just in case he got a little hungry.
Thanks to his part time job he was able to get a hold of all this stuff he had in order to run his little show, “Golden closet radio.”He goes by the name Justin Seagull and never really told anyone that he’s running a whole show by himself on campus. The last thing he needed was people finding out who he was and getting unnecessary attention. He couldn’t let anyone find out in the first place, rumors spread far too quickly. He’s a biology major student and nothing more.
His dad is actually a professor here in this university and so he’s expected to have a set career for him as a doctor. He doesn’t want to though. He wants to explore the world of music. It was always his passion being able to open his mouth and resonate along fine tunes with his voice. If anything, he wanted to be a singer. God knows his parents would never allow it though. If he told them that he wanted to study music, they would drop him out on the streets in the blink of an eye!
The boy sighs looking down at some sheet music spread across a table. He managed to snag some when sneaking through the band halls. It was so amazing on how people can produce such spectacular sounds from just mere writings on paper. With another sigh, he gathers his things to put in his backpack and decides to head back to his dorm. The caretakers of this building says that he was able to use this place just as long as he doesn’t do any property damage and locks the main doors when he leaves. It was cool that he was able to keep a whole building to himself even though it wasn’t that big. He only really needed one room but ended up with a run down place instead. Not that he’s complaining, it was a better way to hide from students and others when he’s on air. No one really comes to this far end of the campus unless they want to walk a good 10 minutes away from their dorms. As he walks out locking the two big main doors, he stares out in the distance noticing that it’ll start getting dark soon.
“Oh right…” He reaches down for his pocket to get a phone out and unlocks it
Contacts: Sunshine-Hyung and Kooks
[4:34] Sunshine-Hyung: Yo Jungkookie! When are you coming back? You don’t want to miss dance practice do you?
He smiles down at his phone. His roommate Hoseok has been offering to give him private dance lessons since he cant take any dance classes either. He was glad to have a friend like him that has so much patience with him. Interacting with people wasn't really his strong suit. In fact, people usually think that he’s just some selfish cocky guy that was only brought to study with no worries since his father is a professor. That’s not the case though, he has to work just as hard since his parents refuse to pay any of his classes. He's also terrible with people. Talking to them is like his worst nightmare and making eye contact? Nearly impossible. He feels slightly better when he wears his thick framed glasses though but its not enough to cover all of his shyness. But, rumors are rumors. He feels different when he’s Justin Seagull though, its almost like he has two split personalities because when he’s on air, he’s a spitting image of confidence, letting his voice shine through with no worries. That was the great thing about being the complete opposite when he’s not doing the show. No one would ever suspect that Jungkook is the man running the show.
